The worse costumer service ever! Two young girl employees standing at the register talking & no one is in the store. They never asked us if we needed any help & when I asked for some help they kept talking & ignored me & my son. Vans are and have always been the best damn quality shoes in the business in my personal opinion! They have such an awesome lifespan, are designed so comfortable, fit perfectly and functional. Happy with this store. Im glad its been open for more than a decade. When you live in Gilroy you see many shops and stores pick up and move all the time. Weve lost an Ecko clothing store and two toy stores and many more i cant remember at the moment. I can really rely on Vans Outlet for great prices, lots of sales events and easy choices. Not only in store but online as well. The location is at the Gilroy outlets off leavesley rd. Easy to get to but heads up there is never any parking. Go early or park far away. Really enjoy going to The Gilroy Outlets for years! So many stores with killer deals! My 1st time shopping on Black Friday and The VANS staff was absolutely incredible!! The store was packed and nearly EVERY staff member was walking up to costumers asking if they found everything they were looking for and checking in the back if it wasn't on the floor...I was shocked how hard they were helping people out because its so hard to find staff to even work the registers these days, let alone run around a busy store to help customers find things that aren't on the shelves! Pretty much all the staff had a smile on their faces and again still shocked being it was Black Friday, so you know they were burnt out! I've worked in retail on Black friday and know how demanding that day is and how rude people can be for a one time deal! Hats off to the crew that work today (Black Friday)!!! Wow what an improvement from 8 years ago. Have to say they have really stepped up their customer service game! I came in her specifically to find some comfy shoes for me and possibly one for my son but he's very particular so if they didn't have the exact shoe he wants, then more shoes for me! I came in on a rainy, packed Memorial weekend. Boy was it busy! I have to say there are Vans employees on the salesfloor ready to check on sizes for you, with ear pieces to communicate with everyone on the floor. They are also tidying up the shelves, checking sizes are in proper place. Stars for buy one get one half off! (Even on sale items) Excellent customer service, everyone super helpful Daniel was really cool and checked for my sizes. This place has a sign for a shoe sale that states, buy 1 get ANY 50% off. My daughter got 2 pairs and they charged her full price for both. I asked why does the sign say ANY and you don't honor it. The customer service here was a hit and a miss. One worker had a hard time focusing on helping us, another employee kept ignoring us as much as possible, and the store wasn't even packed. The cashier was pleasant and patient. I only came in for one pair of shoes, but being an outlet store they had good deals. If you purchased a full priced pair of shoes you get a clearance shoe for half off. So I purchased some burgundy authentic port royale vans with black laces. Soo cute. My very favoritest color btw :-) so I couldn't pass em up. The second pair I got were the Authentic digital roses vans. They were on clearance for $40 so I only paid $20 for them. What a steal. They are so comfortable and easy to just throw on n go. Which is exactly what I was looking for in a pair of vans. I love getting a good deal. I also purchased a shirt that matched my burgundy shoes. My hubby, daughter, Mom-in-law & I just got home from Vans here in Gilroy. My daughter is growing quickly & we needed to get black shoes for her to wear at school. We asked a sales rep; (we were told his name was Joel at the counter) if they had any children's size twos in black & w/Velcro. He called in the back & found a pair for us. We were pleasantly surprised when he walked up to us w/the exact shoes we were looking for. Usually when you go to retail stores they just say, "what ever we have out is all we've got" and just walk away. Not here. Even my 75 year old MIL was impressed. Like what other Yelpers have said, they're very limited when it comes to sneakers. Yeah, they've got sizes, and yeah, they've got different colors, but it's all the ugly sneakers that noone really wants. They were rude to my friend about her Vans discount. They said she needed a paycheck stub to get the percentage off. They don't really keep this place organized. Always make sure that the sneakers you buy are both the same size. read more

It has been hard and rare to find a hardworking sales associate in many retail chains who represent themselves and the company well. He was thorough, knowledgeable and passionate about his position with yo ur company. I feel it is very important to highlight that this employee went out of his was with customer service I have not seen in a very long time. In my Van shoes, but they look like sneakers Yea, they old skool, like high-top Adidas Got my Vans on but they look like sneakers...! I bought my first and favorite pair of Vans from the Vans Shoes Outlet at the (amazing) Gilroy Outlets! I have gotten tons of compliments on them and have never seen someone else with the exact same pair. They are black with little pink hearts with light blue wings on the hearts. They are particularly great to wear as "commuting" shoes since the black blends in with work black pants but they are sneakers! I love them! Unfortunately, they weren't a huge steal in price compared to my other three pairs (yes, I have four pairs of Vans and several other pairs of sneakers... I am obsessed with comfort!). These are my most unique pair though and my first Vans love! read more

Unfortunately, the BF couldn't find anything he liked in his size, so we weren't able to take advantage of the BOGO deal. My box was all jacked up and the top part was torn off, but they weren't able to give me a new box. No big deal I guess, but what if it were a gift? Ghetto. If you are a fan of Vans shoes then the outlet is a good deal. They seem to always have a buy one/get one for 50% off. They also have shoes on clearance. They sell for infants, children, women and men. Clothing is also available for purchase. I also appreciate that I was able to make an exchange on a sale shoe without having my receipt. The best time to visit this store is on week days or evenings. Weekends are busy and the store is relatively small and has little room to move around easily. read more

This place is alright. It's pretty big for a cans store- which is really great. They have a wide variety of shoes in all sizes (men, women, and children). The store is well kept and organized, with clear definitions as to where which section is for what gender. The staff is very friendly and manage to keep up with you in their busy hours, although it does take them a while to find a shoe size in the back. When I went, I bought two vans with the buy one get on half price special(orange sticker only. In total my two shoes costed almost $75. I'd say it was well worth it. read more
