Today when I went to Dick's Sporting Goods in Turlock I found a hat that I wanted. There was about eight of them on the shelf of the very same hats, so I took one up to the cash register and after waiting in line for 15 minutes I find out that they're not able to sell these hats yet. So beware that they put stuff out but I'm not supposed to sell yet. read more

I have to say that the Manager Erik at this store was awesome. Very helpful and was very friendly. He helped me pick out some cool shoes for my daughter. I was torn as to how to rate this store because all in all I have had good experiences with their sales staffers and clerks. However, on 2 occasions I have had dealings with the managers of different departments and they were just downright rude. As one who is very particular about customer service being a number one priority I have to say that the management team has no idea what customer service is all about. They are rude, condescending and simply put think they are better than the customer. UNACCEPTABLE. While they may have some decent pricing on firearms I will be taking my business elsewhere. No one should have to deal with the sort of attitudes that their management team portrays and sadly it will only effect the staff as time moves along. read more

Manager needs to find a different line of work. I purchased a firearm in here, the sales associates were more than helpful, and very friendly. When the "manager" had to come verify the transfer he walked up chewing gum, spoke very condescendingly, would not make eye contact with me. Horrible customer service skills, how somebody so rude could make it up the ladder to get this position is beyond me. I am a manager at my job and if I treated people like he does I would be fired, and rightly so. Prices are pretty high here, although their sales on ammo are decent. I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER BE BUYING ANOTHER FIREARM FROM THIS PLACE. Quick in and out trips for ammo, maybe. As far as major purchases.. no thanks. Corporate heads need to take notice. This store is relatively new and it has horrible reviews almost all concerning customer service. read more

Shitty ass customer service. Maybe that's why it's called "Dick's" cause some employees act like em! I've been to the Modesto location and have never had an issue. Here, the manager was not very helpful and nor was the cashier. They acted like I was trying to take money out of their pockets when I was trying to save myself some money. read more

I had a horrible experience with the sales associate and manager. I went in to purchase a gift for someone, which was a hassle to find since items are unorganized. When I was checking out, I gave the cashier my money to pay and noticed he walked away for a few seconds when he came back he just gave me my receipt. I proceeded to walk towards the exit slowly because I realized he hadn't given me my change. I noticed he was following us as we "left", but I quickly went back in to let them know but the cashier had already left. They said they would have to check the cameras and made it big deal. I ended up standing there for about 30 minutes waiting. The cashier was DISHONEST and could not own up to his mistake. Right when I left because they were taking too long they called me saying they couldn't get the cameras to work and they would give me my MONEY BACK. I drove back and they were VERY UNAPOLOGETIC and the manager even LAUGHED at me. 10/10 don't go there. read more

Really annoyed by this Dicks Sporting Goods in Turlock. My husband just joined a community football team and is in need for football gear, so we went to Dicks to look around. We were in the isle for chin straps and the one we chose was supposed to be on sale for 17 dollars or so. So we get to the cash register and the clerk was very rude and says that the chin strap was 33 dollars. I was surprised and looked at my husband, like that's not what it said in the isle. We said never mind and go back to the isle to recheck the prices. It turns out that the chin straps in the isle were all under wrong label pricing! We go back to the cash register to purchase the original chin strap and the clerk completely chucked and lacked concern for the questioning of the price. I told her the chin straps were all over the place without the right labels and she didn't seems surprised nor urgent to fix the problem. Really annoyed by this store. Probably won't go back. read more

Okay this was my 3rd trip to this store and my last. Each time I come I can't get anyone to help me and there are only 5 customers in the store. Customer service is Horrible. In The store for 30 minutes before I could stop someone to come and help me. Associate Luke pointed me in the direction instead of actually going to help me find what I needed. Then I took the product to the register to see if they could find a different size the guy just told me whatever's out is all they have. I went in to purchase a shotgun. The man behind the counter was trying to help a customer pick out a 22 rifle. the customer was asking for information and differences between other rifles the attendant didn't seem to know much and was unable answer his questions. the customer left without purchasing a rifle. the man atemped to help me next. I asked about a shotgun I seen on their website, and ask if they had it in stock. he replied they don't have it in stock. I then ask if he can order it? he chuckled an said probably not this is California. Uh ok? Seemed like he didn't wasn't to check for me. I decided to settle for Shotgun they had in stock so I took the rifle safety test. when I was finished he was gone and had an other attendant was there to help me. I asked her if they were able to order the shotgun I seen online she pulled out the catalog and was able to order it. The shotgun I was looking for comes with two barrels (26 inch and a 20 inch) I asked her if she can verified that that. She told me that the shotgun comes with two separate 26 inch barrels. This was wrong. As I look at the catalog I could see two different barrel length listed. the phone rang and she answered. I heard her say, over and under 12 gauge shotguns? she replied no we don't have any in stock, but I can see if we can order you one. on the shelf behind her there was about 8 sitting there. After that i walked out. I did not buy anything from them. This was a painful experience. They need some friendlier people with more knowledge of firearms. I Ended up going to big 5 and getting a hell of a deal. much better knowledgeable service. read more
