I originally purchased a pair of cleats without putting much thought into the fit, and unfortunately they ended up not working as well as I had hoped. Cassie was extremely helpful with looking up my receipt and getting the exchange set up. She was super friendly, patient, and always had a smile. After that, I spent about an hour with Jess going over different cleats, how each model fit, and what would work best for the way I play. He ended up helping me find a pair of Tiempo Maestro Academies that fit much better than I expected. He then took me over to the steamer and explained how the process would help mold the cleats more closely to my feet. After steaming them, they felt almost custom fitted. Jess really took his time and made sure I was comfortable with the final choice instead of rushing me into a sale. The entire experience was personal, positive, and much better than I expected. We felt like an inconvenience at first when we wanted to look at bikes. The staff had to climb this very wobbly ladder to get the bikes and you could tell they weren't happy about it. We asked to adjust the bike to test the fit but they couldn't seem to figure out where the tools were (or if they had them)... until we got Caleb. He was amazing! He went so far above and beyond to help us find the right bike for our son. They inspected the bike in full and fixed an issue with the gears. I also want to recognize the cashier, Trinity. Tried to return some golf clubs I picked up two days prior, didn't honor their return policy, said the clubs were to scratched when there was no scratches, then they offered only store credit when they had a 90 day return policy on golf clubs and your supposedly allowed to test them out on the course and return them for your money back if you don't like them. read more

My husband and I had a bad time right now, since we always shop in this store and today they did not respect their veteran discount, the problem was not the discount since it is minimal we accepted that, the manager behaved very arrogant lying and doing less the fact that my husband has served the country for which he is free today and it was not only him there was one more person in the same situation they lacked the respect or try to humiliate them saying that his employee discount is much better than that of being disabled from the Army that made us very upset, that's why we do not go back to this company. read more

Bought a pair of sweats yesterday that were too big so I brought them back today to exchange for another pair. Had my receipt in hand and purchased the item using my rewards account. The cashier, Caleb, kept saying over and over, I don't show your item (as if I stole the sweats and no I'mnot exaggerating). Even after I told him I had no idea what that meant, he just kept repeating himself. I had to tell this kid to actually look at the receipt instead of just scanning it. Then a miracle happened! He found the item and instead of apologizing for making assumptions he just completed the transaction. I gave a 2 star because the young lady who helped me yesterday did her job well. The one interaction with Caleb will likely be the reason I don't shop here anymore. My bike tubing blew out on me but I was able to come in and I was taken care of quickly! As you can imagine, I had to carry my bike in but even with a busy line, one of the employees quickly made sure that I was sent to the right spot and the proper employee was going to help me! We have had a terrible experience with a Nordic Trac treadmill we purchased from Dick's. The first machine we got made an awful clicking sound when running, Nordic Trac connected us with a service tech who told us her husband had Covid so she would send her brother in law when she could. We decided to return the equipment to Dicks and exchange for new. They literally told us they were doing us a favor by doing this. We got the new machine and paid for set up, after about two weeks we noticed the fan did not work except on low and the belt was slipping to one side. Nordic Trac mailed us a fan and told us to install it ourselves and that we should YouTube it if we needed help. Unfortunately we paid cash and cannot go through a credit card company to force resolution. I strongly recommend not buying Nordic Trac and be cautious with Dick's read more

Large, clean, new and seemingly fully stocked. Well, whatever we are looking for, usually some kind of workout equipment for my husband, they never have. The staff has no idea when you do find them, usually there are a ton wandering around, but not in charge of that department. Prices are too high, you can get it online or at other retailers for much cheaper. It seems like they are most about overpriced clothing here, which covers a solid half of the store or more. Everytime I come here, the managers always stare as if you are trying to steal something. They constantly pace back and forth watching you and makes you feel uncomfortable. Been here several times. It a big difference between buying your stuff at Walmart and a store that specializes in one Genre. They have hi end equipment, clothes, shoes and gear. The store is kept up very well. I've never seen a mess here and I have never seen empty shelves. Their prices may be a little higher but you get what you paid for! Hello, I am currently deployed and my wife was in your store today in Victorville, CA. She went to pay for her items and showed her spousal military ID for the military discount. The cashier said "im sorry ma'am we dont offer military discount to spouses, per our manager." Now i understand it is the managers discretion weather or not to give the discount to the spouses of active duty members, however i think it is a complete slap in the face to our spouses back home, holding the fort down faising children on there own, running a household as the mother and the father all at the same time. To NOT offer a spouse a 10% military discount is down right rude and shame on you store manager for having a convoluted way of thinking to save a buck, shame on you store manager of Dicks Sporting Goods, shame on you. read more

Dick's is alright. Seems like they have a wide assortment of sporting goods. The store seems to be sort of a cross between a large "Big 5" and a small-sized "Bass Pro". Definitely is not an REI or Cabela's though. Their bicycle section has many low quality choices, same with water sports and snow sports sections. Sorry to those who may be the exception rather than the rule--there are one or two girls that may have hope. The assistant manager should not be in that position, she's rude and lacks any sort of empathy for the customer. I wonder if she remembers how she gets a salary. I digress. So I went to Dicks to buy my daughter a compound bow. I figured that I would save myself a trip to Bass Pro Shop.... I regret that decision. The person had no idea or did he even work at that department. The person that worked that department was off. One person runs the whole hunting department! Well, I called to come in to get it adjusted and no surprise, I was told to leave the bow there a couple of days to get it adjusted because the person was off. The guys didn't know that adjusting the bow required the person to be there because it goes to the preference of the person using the bow. They of course didn't know that was the case because they didn't work at that department. I ended up driving to bass pro to get everything done and never again will I buy anything that requires services from the people that work at Dicks. Tried calling online customer service and was disconnected after 32 mins so I called the Victorville store to see if I could return the shoes there. Was told no I could not since I ordered them online, even though their website says I could return with the packing slip for curbside returns. Woman at the store said I could order more shoes and pay again for curbside pick up. Unfortunately, this is what I had to do in order for my husband to get them in time for our anniversary. Now, an added trip to the post office to return the ugly shoes Dicks sent, paying for their mistake. Hope it doesn't take forever for a refund!!! I will never again order from Dicks.
