Dr. DiDomenico is incredible. This is my first experience with a chiropractor, and has made me a believer. Within a few minutes of discussing my issue, Dr. DiDomenico was able to determine what the issue was, make recommendations on stretches, changes to my workouts, and a belt that I should wear. He was kind, compassionate, and asked such on point questions that I swear he was reading my mind. The actual adjustments have been pretty quick, with the majority of the visit spent getting e-stem on the area. After a few weeks, he suggested that I get a massage from one of the massage therapists working out of the office - umm okay! I have now had four massages with Jacob Birdsong, and each one has been incredible! He uses a great combination of stretching and massage, which provides me with days of back pain relief. I'm a newer patient of Dr DiDomenico and am very happy to have been referred to him by my PCP. I had encountered some lower back issues from my sports (volleyball) league and could not jump, twist, stretch, or even get out of bed without awful pains. I've been going to him for a few months now. He quickly addressed my lower back issues, plus some neck issues. Recently, I had a leg/thigh injury from volleyball and also had that addressed. I've had lower back pain for a number of years, a result of a slipped vertebra, a common condition in which a defect in a part of my spine caused the vertebra to slip forward resulting in constant pain. I've seen a number of chiropractors and never saw results. I then consulted with two Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine.The first Doctor took a holistic approach which didn't seem to provide much in the way of results, a second doctor recommended surgery without spending much time discussing my condition or other options. Not ready to give up and go the surgery route, and on the advice of a friend i made an appointment with Dr DiDomenico. I can describe my experience as none other than GREAT! We discussed my condition at length and various treatment options. He is informative and has been very patient with me, he made me feel comfortable. Chiropractic is a pretty amazing concept -- no sedatives, no hypnotics, but for so many of us, the best way to deal with problems of skeletal pain and asymmetrical posture, and therefore get at the problems that radiate from there. Robert DiDomenico, D.C., has the best professional pedigree there is: School of Lombard, traditional in approach, that takes only the best students and produces top graduates. Visiting him for the first I encountered a warm, friendly professional who was interested in me as a person -- and, not coincidentally, learned a lot about my daily activities, sleep position, physical activity or lack thereof. He is always caring and I always, always come out feeling a lot better after a session than when I came in. I am not a chronic back-pain sufferer to the extent of seeking multiple physicians or surgeries; in fact, I believe that the care I receive at the hands of "Doctor D" has kept me safe from some of the decline brought on by age, gravity, and self-imposed poor workstation ergonomics. If you aren't yet in a crisis but have reason for concern about your bones and their alignment, chiro is the way to go IMHO. This is "good ol'" chiropractic -- some massage/manipulation, and then various regions of the body get that wondrous CRACK! Such a wonderful feeling. Every time, I feel so alive and vital, as though I had been briefly pulled apart and put back together along better lines, almost like Pinocchio when he went from a gangly collection of joints and limbs to a confident, active boy. Although I have traditionally taken a dim view of alternative therapies, I can witness that the good Doctor has given me acupuncture (he doesn't force it, but offers it) for sore feet, clogged sinuses and one really bad headache. In my case, the benefits seldom extended into the second day, but the same can be said of any analgesic, all of which have some propensity for addiction or dependence, and can bring about stomach upset and hypertension. This is a real, safe and natural way to get your body right with its stressful environment, and at the hands of a skilled, caring practitioner. I feel blessed. I am sorry to hear that other people had unfortunate accounts of service via phone. I never have, perhaps because I knew from onset on that Dr. DiDomenico was not in the office every day, and wouldn't be able to handle calls every day. If anything, Dr. DiDomenico and his assistants have gone the extra mile time and again when my crazy schedule or state of health brought about cancellation. Also, I do not understand why anyone would want to blame a chiropractor for not being a sports physician. Those fields are complementary, have some overlap, but they are far from interchangeable. I've been to several chiropractors and no one is as nice and patient as Dr.D. the office is small, but relaxing, he doesn't make you wait forever like some places, your in & out like you should be. the music is good, there is options for massage, acupuncture & he is just great! one time I was there this older lady kept asking him for magazines, like no I've read that one & that one, can you get me this? I was like, is she serious? SMH. he was so nice about it, and made sure she was happy with the magazine. I've been coming here for months from a back injury, and I feel much better, my back has improved so much, I can drive longer than I could, walk longer, my nerve pain isn't anything like it used to be before I started. My parents took me to see my first chiropractor when I was four years old. As a lifelong chiropractic patient, I have a pretty good perspective on what makes a great Dr. and a great practice. Dr. D. is personable, knowledgeable and above all an excellent practician. He uses all methods of care to treat your whole body and even used acupuncture in tandem with other treatments to heal my bulging disk in record time. His staff are excellent and a joy to work with! I first came to Dr D after being over adjusted by another chirorpactic office. As a yoga teacher, I experience occasional cranks and strains from going 'too far' into certain postures. It is crucial that my adjustments are precise and measured. This is what I love most about Dr D's approach. Sometimes I don't even need an adjustment, so much as the other therapies he offers -- electrostim, ultrasound massage, acupuncture. He has helped me with everything from pulled muscles, sublaxations in my T-spine, neck pain, even alleviating allergy symptoms. I feel so well looked after with Dr D, I am finding that I rarely need a visit. His interest truly is in empowering his patients to heal and strengthen, preventing further injury or strain. This is not the case with all chiropractors, namely the one I saw prior that insisted twice weekly adjustments were a necessity. I have referred countless friends, colleagues and yoga students to Dr D and every single one of them has reported back with rave reviews. I have yet to hear of a condition he hasn't been able to treat or an instance where someone wasn't able to get in to see him within a matter of a day or two. Stay Away! I found Dr. Didomenico through my insurance company. I was looking for someone who was certified in acupuncture and could do light stretching (no manipulations). When I looked online I saw great reviews and was so excited to find someone nearby. Every part of my experience was a disaster: billing, appointments, and medical services. Billing: His quote was not even close to what he billed. After getting pre approval from my insurance, he told me that I would end up paying $10-12 per visit. My bills ended up being between $70-90 per visit. I emailed Dr. Didomenico about the bill and they claimed that my insurance made a mistake, not them. However, I pay a 10% co-pay and they billed over $350 to insurance. 10% of $350 does not equal $10-12/visit. When I followed up with him after talking to my insurance company, he replied, "We do our best to estimate for you because you pushed us to know what your visits could cost" -----who wouldn't ask for an estimate !?!? At the end of the email, he wrote "Please do not direct any more inquiries regarding your bill". Appointments: On my second (and last) visit, he showed up 45 minutes late. I was only able to stay for 15 minutes since I had to go to work, so he told me we could just do acupuncture. I was billed hundreds of dollars for that 15 minute visit. Medical Services: I have had acupuncture many times before. When he put a needle in my neck, I told him that I felt pain shooting down my arm. He told me that "it must be working". Acupuncture should not hurt! After feeling pain in my arm for the next week, I never returned. Furthermore, he asked his office assistant to help with the acupuncture needles, when he went in to work with another patient. Is that even legal?? His evaluation and diagnoses were completely inaccurate. My brother and sister are both doctors, one in NY and one in AZ. When I told them about my experiences, his evaluation, and further plans for treatment, they told me to run the other way. I am shocked to see great reviews for Dr. Didomenico. I wish I could have given 0 stars because I am so appalled by his services. read more

First of all, I have to say...I love Dr D! I had a bad car accident back in 1995 and he really went through the fire with me. I had a disc herniation in my neck and all kinds of muscle spasming, it was scary but he really saw me through it. I was always able to get in for an appointment and it included adjustments, therapy, I have also learned so much about good posture and ergonomics from him. He was supportive of me at a time when it was really tough emotionally - when you're in pain it can be scary and it's so important to have that kind of reassurance. Dr D is one of the nicest people I know and one of the best chiropractors I have been to. I have lived in California several times over the years and have had other chiropractors but nobody is the same. Different doctors have different techniques but when I need to be sure somebody will adjust my neck and mid back properly, I know where to go. He is careful and very knowledgeable. These days I only need maintenance treatment, once or twice a month and I thank him for that. Because of chiropractic care I never needed surgery and was able to return to jogging which is something I really love.
