The listing clearly stated that one of the features was their "Liberty 4 Life" program. When flipping through the pictures, one of the pictures said "reasons to buy from Liberty" and the lifetime powertrain warranty was mentioned in those reasons, too. When I got to the dealership and decided we wanted the car, they told us it doesn't qualify for the program. When I asked why it says it has it in the listing, they said that all their vehicles say it. I took the vehicle to a Subaru service department and they told me it needed a transmission flush and Liberty refused to do it. They also connected the computer to it and found 3 error codes. Why didn't Liberty's service department do this before trying to sell the car to me? The tailgate was only working intermittently. The salesman gave up trying to get the tailgate to open when we testdrove it so he put the license plate in the side window. Even with that, they wouldn't explore further what the issue was because it worked later when we tried it. I had put $500 down on the car for them to hold it for me until we had the deal all worked out. I left a voicemail for the used car manager to explain Liberty 4 Life and he never returned my call. They were selling the car as is and they were sticking to that. After 2 weeks of no communication or signs that they really wanted to sell me a car and make me a happy customer, they sent me a text message saying they refunded the deposit and sold the car to someone else. "Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

My 2023 Elantra has 50k on it and was recently serviced by Fred. I had a fuel induction/injector cleaning service (I think that is what it is called lol) and the car is running as good as the day it was brand new. I highly recommend Fred and his crew. They are amazing and their prices are fantastic.
