I had about 12 old VHS tapes that had a lot of family memories on them, but we didn't even own a VCR. I found DigiSavit on the Googles and reached out to them. I promptly received a phone call from Donna explaining their process, pricing, and what to expect. Donna answered all of my questions and we dropped off the tapes the next day. It took about 10 days for them to process all of our tapes, and I was super happy with the results. They put the video files on a thumb drive and gave us repeated warnings that they do not save customer data and that we should back up the thumb drive ASAP. I did these things and then went to work watching my movies. I'm so thankful that this service exists. These tapes and the memories on them mean so much to me. Several people on the tapes have since passed on and it was such a wonderful blessing to see them alive and well again and most of all, hear their voices again. I recently used DigiSavIT to get photos, DVDs, and VHSs digitalized. Joanne was extremely responsive, pleasant to work with, and even accommodated my timeline as best as possible. Had some issues with the USB that was provided to me, but luckily she had everything backed up and was able to put it on the cloud and I downloaded everything from there. While packing to move, I came across a box of old VHS and 8mm tapes, some of which I had been carting around since the mid-80s, literally. I guess I always figured that one day I would get them put on DVD or on a hard drive, but it never seemed to happen; other things constantly took priority and the tapes got back-burnered. Not this time though. Just before moving, I hit 10 years with my employer and they awarded me with a $150 Visa card. This was the perfect opportunity to tackle this project, so I called around to get some prices LOCALLY. Why locally, you ask? Because last year, I dropped off some invaluable and irreplaceable photo slides and negatives at the CVS on Sheldon Road to be put on CD, and I never saw them again. In fact, they had no record of the order at all. I called every few months for the better part of a year, and nothing. Nada. Zilch. So I stress the local aspect here because if these tapes got lost, I knew where to go! What I didn't know at the time, is that I had nothing to worry about with DigiSavit. Donna took care of all my tapes as if they were her own. In total, I had 10 tapes, and within about a week, she had them all recorded to mp4 and dumped them on a hard drive, which I supplied. A+ service. Now, they do offer video editing and video tape to CD service, and these features do cost more, but luckily I did not require those services. My experience with DigiSavit was AWESOME! I contacted them on a Monday morning as soon as they opened for assistance with converting a picture slideshow to DVD format. I had the completed DVDs at my home the next day! I was so pleased with the customer service, deluxe packaging, quality, and timeliness of delivery. When I opened the package and saw the packaging, I felt as though they really "cared" about my project we are playing at My Mom's 75th Birthday dinner. Amazing!!!!!! We had a death in our family and needed a slide show of photos. They made the most amazing video. Everyone was BEYOND happy to see it at the funeral. It brought a bright spot to such a HORRIBLE day. They not only made a awesome dvd but they did it in the time frame we needed. I can not tell you how happy I am to have found them. I also decided to turn in two old tapes of my father. Who passed away when I was very young and I haven't been able to see them in years. So I can't wait to see what a GREAT job they do with those. If you are still shooting super8 as i do as a hobby no better place . The only film from kodak today is negative which they can transfer frame by frame . DigiSavit you get your Bang for your buck. In my case if i want special post production on a roll or two their special editing charge is very reasonable . Glad i found these GALS . read more
