I was confused about which color I had chosen (my fault), and there was clearly some annoyance on the part of the staff that I asked a question about it. They also reused items (nail files, buffers, etc.) which I did not love. The nail technicians little plastic box had various tools and instruments all thrown in together. I got a deluxe manicure, and it included a desultory massage I could have just as easily done myself. Finally, the attitude of the staff did not put me at ease. On the other side of the salon, where there were no customers, it sounded like there was a party going on, but it was just staff members. I was not impressed, and particularly not for the price.

But after hearing it had been 10 years since I last had any work done. They did their best to make sure that I would be taken care of. 10/10 experience. Not only did it feel like home. It's a solid place to get a good pedicure , one tip I would give to the establishment is to be mindful of how your techs react when a customer declines a service.

It was a fruitless journey, so I finally decided the two hour drive north was worth a perfect full set. To my surprise, after three years the owner still remembered me and exactly how I liked my nails. And let me tell you, for the first time since 2009 I am extremely happy with how my nails turned out. He takes so much time to make sure that each nail turns out perfect. Plus I love that he offers solar nails which means instead of waiting for paint or gel to dry, he does a a buff, and the nails stay shiny longer. It's more expensive, but it's worth it. Even after three weeks, he made sure my fill looked perfect. I don't think the PNW has a place better and I will continue to drive two hours on Saturday's to come here

Look, I understand "busy", but I almost never had one person do my whole "fill"...last time it was 4 different people...for a fill! Like they'd do a bit, and then TAG someone in. And, I'm sure as a result of this fingernail g-bang, the results were inconsistent. Especially lately. Also, the guy who worked on my nails the most at that place (not M&T, I'm still talking about my former salon) is depressing. I feel bad, he's got personal issues going on, but holy mother of...I left needing a drink most days. I don't want to feel sad when I am able to splurge and get my nails done. Wow, now I sound like a jerk. Probably because I am a jerk. But I digress... ANYHOO...decided to give M&T Nails a chance, and I'm so glad I did. I didn't make an appointment as it was sort of an impulse stop - i.e. I looked down and went WOW, MY NAILS LOOK AWFUL, I MUST REMEDY THIS IMMEDIATELY. But, even without an appointment, the employees at M&T were able to get me in right away for a pedicure and then a fill - and they did a GREAT job. My nails look great! The three ladies I spoke with - the one who did my pedicure, another who did my fill, and the third who was doing someone's nails right next to me - were all delightful. There was also some dude there and he was probably the one that another reviewer said was high. Whatever. He didn't do my nails. Toke up, little buddy. I don't care. :)~ Also...did I mention...THERE'S A PUG DOG THERE? THEY HAVE A DOGGO IN THE SALON AND HE'S GLORIOUS. Unless something bizarre happens - and I mean bizarre in a bad way, I don't mind bizarre - this will be my regular spot from now on. P.S. My fingernails have been complimented 4 times today alone.
