I visited this salon on Saturday while I was in town for the weekend seeing family. I wish I never walked in, here's why.... Let me start with saying this place is NOT CLEAN! She pulled tools out of desk that did not look like they went through any sanitation process and just the look of the salon alone shows how dirty it is so beware 1st: I called the salon asking if I could be seen right away with no wait, for I was on a time limit. She stated yes and that is why I chose to go to the salon. I enter the salon and am stuck waiting for over 29 minutes. 2nd: horrible choice in polishes. They were all weird off brands and had very few color choices. I couldn't even find a basic nude or natural pink. 3rd: she was horrible at the manicure part. Leaving access skin around my nail and I had to ask her multiple times to clean it up and actually remove the cuticle and skin, which she just kept rolling her eyes the whole time. 4th: the paint job was the worst I have ever experienced. Coating the nail with thick, uneven layers. When she would get polish on the side of my finger or cuticles she wiped it with her sharp nail digging into my skin and hurting me. When she would wipe with her own nail her finger would slip and mess up my polish only causing her to apply yet another coat of thick uneven polish to cover it up. 5th: I had to jolt out of there after the manicure, she gave me attitude because I told her that this was not a very good job and so I just left 6th: after over 2 hrs of dry time the polish still was not dry due to heavy thick layers, causing the polish to mess up. I called and asked her if I come in if she can repolish and she gave me HORRIBLE attitude and argued with me on the phone for over 10 minutes. 7th: I came in to get them repolished and she sat there and once again argued with me and made a scene inside the salon. It was very embarrassing. Especially when the nails were clearly messed up. 8th: she repainted with a different polish color I didn't even really want, which immediately chipped after being dried on almost all nails, showing this is expired polish. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DO NOT COME HERE! THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER SALONS ALONG BAKERVIEW THAT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER! read more

I've been looking for a new nail place - I was going to a place at the mall and it was always disorganized chaos there, regardless of what time you went in. Look, I understand "busy", but I almost never had one person do my whole "fill"...last time it was 4 different people...for a fill! Like they'd do a bit, and then TAG someone in. And, I'm sure as a result of this fingernail g-bang, the results were inconsistent. Especially lately. Also, the guy who worked on my nails the most at that place (not M&T, I'm still talking about my former salon) is depressing. I feel bad, he's got personal issues going on, but holy mother of...I left needing a drink most days. I don't want to feel sad when I am able to splurge and get my nails done. Wow, now I sound like a jerk. Probably because I am a jerk. But I digress... ANYHOO...decided to give M&T Nails a chance, and I'm so glad I did. I didn't make an appointment as it was sort of an impulse stop - i.e. I looked down and went WOW, MY NAILS LOOK AWFUL, I MUST REMEDY THIS IMMEDIATELY. But, even without an appointment, the employees at M&T were able to get me in right away for a pedicure and then a fill - and they did a GREAT job. My nails look great! The three ladies I spoke with - the one who did my pedicure, another who did my fill, and the third who was doing someone's nails right next to me - were all delightful. There was also some dude there and he was probably the one that another reviewer said was high. Whatever. He didn't do my nails. Toke up, little buddy. I don't care. :)~ Also...did I mention...THERE'S A PUG DOG THERE? THEY HAVE A DOGGO IN THE SALON AND HE'S GLORIOUS. Unless something bizarre happens - and I mean bizarre in a bad way, I don't mind bizarre - this will be my regular spot from now on. P.S. My fingernails have been complimented 4 times today alone. I really like this salon, it is the only place I go anymore for nails. They were pretty small when I started coming and I'm glad they are growing and busy - that does mean it is a good idea to call before you stop in (although I see them taking lots of walk ins). They are friendly and consistent and I get lots of complements on my nails. Sometimes I have something a little adventurous I want them to try and they do a great job. read more

I've gotten my nails done here before and it's always the same woman who does it. I like her work. Except this time, it was a different lady. I gave her a picture of what I wanted(almond shaped and longer) she said no she couldn't do that. I thought that was weird because it wasn't anything fancy. It was a picture of my nails I had before. So I was doable. She was very rude and just mean. I'm not rude, especially to people who work in customer service like this. But thought I would suck it up and let her do them..as soon as I saw them I wanted to cry and have them to take them off. My friend got the lady who usually does them and her nails turned out pretty as expected. But I might as well have super glued gum balls on my nails. Saved myself the 35/70$ I used that day to have them done and another place to get them off and manicured. So disappointed. read more

This place was highly reviewed positively so I decided to call to make an appointment. I was scheduled for 5 so I got there around 4:55 and the women said it would be a 20 min wait regardless of the appointment. Throughout me getting my set she kept getting up to feed the dog and other random things. Exactly a hour and half later she finished my set and in the process gad two fingers bleed. Every time it would start bleeding she would just continue going even though I told her i was in pain. All that to not even have the set last a week. read more

I was very disappointed with my pedicure. The place seemed dirty and NO ONE else was having a pedicure, which I take as a bad sign. The girl who gave me a pedicure hardly talked to me and did a very quick job. Then I just sat there waiting for her to come back and check my nails and help me with my sandals. She didn't come so I finally had to do it myself, and of course smeared one of my nails doing it. I asked her to redo the nail, and she had me stand there and lift up my foot rather than take a seat so that she could do it properly. read more

I have been to a lot of nail places and have had a lot of different experiences. I went to this place the first time and had a bad experience getting a full set. They were very rough and made my hands bleed. I decided to give them another chance when my usual nail salon was booked up for the day for a pedicure and had a really bad experience again. They used what looked like a cheese grater on my whole foot. I know have cuts on the bottom of my foot and I am praying they dont get infected. They picked at my cuticles way too long and it was just not a relaxing or pleasant experience. I will never visit this salon again. Not worth your money. I feel sorry for anyone who goes here for a first time pedicure and is left with that kind of experience read more

I have come here pretty religiously for at least eight years and have always loved the ladies that work in there, they know my mother by name and we always felt extremely welcome. I went to get a pedicure recently and the ladies were still extremely nice and I would have walked out giving them four or five stars even though the wait time was a little long and they didn't really communicate that with us before we sat down. However, there was a new guy I had never seen before who did my nails that made me extremely uncomfortable. He sat down and I could immediately tell he was high by his eyes and then I was hit with a cloud of marijuana smell that immediately set me on edge and made me nauseous. Now I know it's legal here and while I personally wasn't comfortable with someone being high on a job, I decided to let him continue and see how he did my nails but then it just got weird. He was really jittery and moving extremely fast, gave me the oddest foot massage I have ever experienced and did this weird thing to the back of my calves that tickled and was just odd. Overall he painted my nails well but just his mannerisms, the smell and the fact that he was high while at work has made rethink coming back to this nail salon. This may not bother other people but it definitely bothered me. read more

I must say... I love this nail salon. I went in to do a full set of UV Gel manicure. I must say i really could tell the nail tech knew how to shape my nails the way I wanted them to be. I barely waited that long and the service was quick. They even gave me an awsome design for a good price. I would highly recommend this place to others. I'll be coming back again. read more

My gel manicure lasted over two full weeks, and I'm not particularly careful about my nails. So needless to say, I'm pretty thrilled with my experience. Even now as I'm removing the gel, both ring fingers and pinkies plus my left middle finger have absolutely no chips and look as good as they did when I got them done. read more
