I made an appointment for a mani-pedi online hours before opening and went in on time. Once they took me back my pedicure was good but a little rushed, and they accepted a lot of walk-ins. So many, that my service was so delayed I ended up having to leave. They're friendly but I was really disappointed I couldn't get what I had intentionally booked online because they weren't prioritizing their appointments. I was waiting for over 30 minutes after my pedicure for my manicure and they still were having me wait- while they were helping people who didn't have an appointment at all. Went for acrylic removal and gel. They did not soak the acrylics off, but instead shipped the edges then "popped" them off, removing layers of my actual nail and breaking the tips. My thumbnail partially separated from the nail bed and stings like a B. It was very painful. By the time I realized what was happening I was just too stunned to speak up. The person who did my gel afterwards was very nice, but never once sanitized or asked me to wash my hands. Overall the workers were kind, but my nails were so damaged and in pain from the removal it was terrible. read more

I've been coming to Solani Nails & Spa for the past couple years. Today and back to days of COVID, I have received excellent service and pedicures. The basic service is typically enough for my needs, but I do occasionally spoil myself with the paraffin treatment. Basic includes: polish removal, cut and shape toe nails, push back cuticles, scrub my toes, exfoliate my calluses, salt scrub rinse then lotion my feet and legs, and always end with a pretty pedicure. I recommend Solani and am a loyal customer, driving from Blaine to Ferndale for their pedicure treatment. read more

Really bad experience. I have come here a few times and every time I leave disappointed. My sister and I came for a pedicure (myself) and a gel polish change (my sister) and I had my entire pedicure, which took about an hour, done before they even started hers. The lady left after filing my sisters nails to go wax another walk in, and people who came in after us were helped before she was. Previously I have not been satisfied. Sure the polish is fine but the care they have for the overall flow of their business is not good. Will not be returning and don't suggest anyone to come here. read more

i'm severely disappointed. The owner is greedy and rude. I got an acrylic set that is $55. the job was done well though not very timely and was very simple request- short french tips. I came here in hopes to support a local business but i was completely ripped off. every other salon I have went to has the same price for a set and i have gotten french tips before for $55. I was charged $75 for the service when I asked for a set, they considered it all nail art where this was not, not to mention I felt overly pressured to tip. This was a mistake and I do not recommend coming here unless you are going to spend much more than the displayed price. I was going to get a pedicure as well but since being ripped off I will not be returning. While getting your nails done is a service there is a customer satisfaction aspect that is completely neglected. Took my 14 year old daughter and her two friends to get their nails done -- one gel set and two acrylic sets. As someone who does not normally get their nails done, I was shocked at the final total of $200 ($50 for gel and $75 for each acrylic). Feeling like we had been taken advantage of, I called the next day anonymously to get prices for the same service and was quoted $35 for gel and $55 for acrylic. Nothing special was done during these manicures to deserve a $55 price hike! We will not be returning, and I urge you to get your prices up front!!! read more

this salon does NOT honor their client appointments! they even changed my appointment to a different day and time and still I'm waiting 25 minutes late so far. it's my 4th visit. the first visit they kept me waiting an hour. This place was terrible. I got a full set acrylics on Saturday (6/20) and on Wednesday FOUR of my nails were lifting and almost completely off. I called the salon and I asked for a refund. The girl said "I have to ask my boss, it's his money" No, actually it's my money that paid for a service, that was terrible. I went in to speak with the owner, Tommy (who happened to be the one who did my nails) and he pointed to a sticker that said "All sales final" he offered to "fix" them, but if the quality was crap the first time, why try for a second? The service itself: They DID NOT SANITIZE ANY TOOLS - the entire time I was there. With covid, this was a red flag, however he had already begun working. I did not like the color and asked to use the other one I had been debating, and he told me No. I was either stuck with the color he had already painted, or I could have "three layers " on top to 'cover it'. I said "No, I'm paying I would like a different color please. " He was obviously upset and became rough changing the paint. He barely spoke to me the rest of the time there. Highly DO NOT recommend this place, unless you only want unevenly painted nails that only last 5 days. read more

Went there for the first time today for a simple manicure no color just a nice clean up of my cuticles.. my lady was very nice and chatted with me the whole time so customer service was wonderful. Even better the prices were much lower then my regular places I go in Bellingham. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with my manicure. Yes only $15 but all she did was clip and file. My hands were in a bowl of water for not even 5 seconds with no time to really soak and enjoy. End of manicure.. that's all I got for $15.. I was expecting much more.. hand massage maybe?? read more

They are so nice and detailed here. I asked them to do something they'd never done before and they executed it beautifully. It took a long time to do it but they made sure they knew what I wanted and that I left happy. They did a gorgeous job. They always do. Will be back of course. read more

I had a gift certificate so I went into the salon to get my nails done for prom, I called and made an appointment and asked if i could get a full set of acrylics. When I got there they didn't say much, I picked out my colors and sat down. WHEN I SAY THEY HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. It took him well over an hour do just put the acrylic on. While he was doing that he kept stopping for a good while to go on his phone, someone kept calling him and he would stop and he would pull out his phone and just be on it. He didn't say anything didn't talk much, it was awkward. He charged me an extra 10$ because i wanted coffin nails. I usually pay 25$ for good quality nails at the mall, I paid 40$ for nails that look like crap, there way too thick and uneven. In person it looks like I tried to do my nails. read more

Don't waste your time or your money. Babysat for my daughter so she would be able to have a special treat of a pedicure. She was rushed through, didn't get a foot massage and when she asked about that the gal just said "sorry". I told my daughter to talk to the manager, the manager gave her 20% off but seriously the difference between $20 $25, she would have rather of had the massage which was why she went there. Will definitely never go back, and wish we would have read all of the horrible reviews before we did in the first place. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

I have lived in Ferndale for almost 9 years and the few times I was able to get my nails done, I have gone to Saloni Nails & Spa. I recently went to get a pedicure with my daughter and was excited to FINALLY use my gift certificate that I rec'd from our employees 4 years ago. Due to unforeseen life emergencies, I was unable to take advantage of the certificate until now. Being a business owner myself, I know that gift certificates never expire, and was counting on using it during this visit. At checkout, I was told that since it was 4 years ago, they were not going to honor it, I challenged him (the owner) and he said the best he would do is only give me 1/2 the value of the certificate...I WILL NOT BE BACK! Bad business...really want to use local businesses, but, Saloni Nails & Spa is off my list. read more

This place is busy! Walk ins are welcome but sometimes it takes awhile to get a chair and even then you may have to soak for awhile. (As a retired person I don't mind it but busy professionals may not) The salon is clean and in good repair. The staff is friendly and well trained. (The owner's wife gives the best massages.) My only criticism is that perhaps they need more staff on busy weekends. read more

This place is definitely hit and miss. Sometimes when I go in, my gel manicure isn't very good - cuticles not trimmed, nails not filed, and color is splotchy. But every once in a while, the manicure is amazing and my nails look fantastic afterwards. I keep going back hoping for those random times when my nails look and feel good. They have an ok selection of gel polish colors but I've seen better elsewhere. This place gets rated very poorly for good reason. I have been here a number of times and always leave extremely disappointed, but time goes by and I forget how awful the service is every time! Plus, I live in Ferndale so it's convenient. I recently went here with my daughter to get gel manicures. The entire experience was PATHETIC! The ladies that did our nails (because I refuse to call them nail techs) were beyond rude and rushed through the appointment. I will definitely not be going back. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! read more

I live Saloni! The pedicure chairs are awesome and the place is clean and the staff are friendly. I've never had to wait a super long time, and if I do wait they put me in a chair and my feet have a nice bath. They do great pedicure designs too!! read more

I really don't understand the negative comments here. Tommy is so accomodating and my nails have always been done so well. I've been going since they opened, and have never been unhappy. I would really hope that the unhappy people here give them another chance. read more
