I walked past this place and the receptionist seemed very friendly so I went ahead and made an appointment. I had already had x-rays done at another dental office so they requested I emailed them which I did. When I got there, I was told to get more x-rays done, I let them know that I already had them, and that I was not about to be charged for something that my insurance covered and what I had already had done. I asked her how much it would cost she wasn't sure but she definitely wanted me to spend out-of-pocket money. I asked her to find out, it was revealed that I would've had to pay $150 if I didn't speak up. I let them know that I wasn't going to get anything done until I knew exactly what my insurance was going to cover because I know I still had a cleaning left over that I could still do, she brought in the dentist who was arrogant, look like he was on drugs or steroids, probably both, he was a complete jerk, rude, belittling and was completely nasty. He tried to explain his procedure, but I asked him not to finish his sentence as I walked out of the door. What a waste of time, I took off work to come to this place, please do not go here, save yourself time because they will try to get you for all of your money for sure. read more

I wrote a review about six months ago, however it seems to be removed. Let me start with taking Dana the Hygienist and Dr. Solomon right out of the equation they are very good and very competent . I wish they would go to another office so I could keep them. However, I won't even get into all of it, but they have been trying to double bill me for the past two years. I've spoken with Veena the manager I had tried to speak to Martha who plays games and will not take a call, avoidances her cup of tea and being an upright citizen who pays her bills on time wanted to clear this up, but it's been two years. I have texted emailed called to no avail.. They will try to charge you for things you don't need,convince you you do ,you must know your stuff when you walk in this office or they will rape you! It sounds harsh, but it's true. Getting something in writing they don't they fly by the seat of their pants so they can pad the bill. stay away. His lack of experience showed when he did a tooth extraction on my loved one. They make you wait a really long time during your appointments I've been sitting for over 50 minutes with nobody talking to me.

If I could give this place a negative number I would. Save yourself the headache and go find a trustworthy dentist. This place is more like a used car dealership trying to upsell you on something. I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed a root canal. What???? I went for a second opinion and my new dentist told me that was a complete lie. These people are money hungry and horrible humans. Stay far far away!!! They also kept sending me invoices for $120 for over a year after I went in for a cleaning. Why? I don't know. Every time I called to ask they told me I had no balance on my account but then proceeded to send me an invoice to my email probably hoping I'd just pay it. I had been using this dentist office for several years. I went in on 10/27/25 for a routine cleaning. The dentist told me, "I had four crowns on the watch list." None of them had caused any discomfort. I paid to have all four done for $6,200. I had two of the crowns replaced that day. One of the new crowns continued to hurt. On 10/27 I went back in. The dentist did some filing on that crown and said it should be fine. I went back in again on 11/24 more filing, still painful, same result. I was so disappointed with the work, I decided NOT to have the other two crowns done. On 12/8/2025 I requested a refund of $2,950 for dental work not done. I was assured, "okay no problem." I left a phone message a week later regarding my refund, no one bothered to call back. Went into the office on 12/19 and asked for the refund again. Still no action. On 12/22 went back in and spoke with the dentist. He claimed he was unaware of the situation and would take care of it. On 1/7/2026 went back in again, and met with their General Manager. She told me, she would get me the check. No check ever came. On 1/27/2026 I filed a Small Claims Case with the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. That same day, I had Digital Smiles and Dr. Soliman served with Small Claims documents requesting my $2950. On 2/4/2026 I finally received my refund. read more

I went in for a cleaning and the women who gave me the cleaning was very nice but after the cleaning I was shuffled into a sales office and pitched all these procedures "I need" mind you I did not have a single cavity and the cleaning showed some things to "keep an eye on" but that was all. Doctors are great, their billing department is horrible. They do not bill insurance appropriately, half of the times they didn't even run costs by them (I learnt through a painful experience), once I asked to be sent a ledger and saw all of the inconsistencies - I could never get ahold of their billing person Veena, I even came in person. read more

I'm bummed to see negative reviews but also know some go back to before Dr Soliman came in. I am happier with Dr Soliman than I've been with dentists before (and sadly I've been to many over the years). Dr Soliman feels like my partner in my oral health. Hygienist, Dana, is more thorough than any in my life. The support team is great, too. Scheduling has grown tougher as the doctor has become more popular, but I am truly happy to have this team on my team. read more

I would never recommend this dentist. I think he had good raiting here just because he paid ads. I came there because I have my insurance and another one from my husband. The dentist i usually go doesn't except my husband's insurance, and usually so busy. So, I decided to find new dentist for his insurance (i was added to his insurance). First of all, office is very old and dirty. I just wanted check and find the prices how much they will charge me for the work I already done, and for future if I have some issues. I literally just got my cleaning done with my dentist, I just got done root canal and crown as well, and I know I have no problems with my teeth besides wisdom teeth I have to remove eventually. So, this doctor was telling me that the crown I had, done bad, I need to change it (I just did my crown couple months ago). I was thinking ok, maybe they did it bad, who knows. After he started to tell me that I need to change all my crowns..?? I have 4 crowns total. He said they are bad made etc. I told him ok, I will see what is going on with my recent one and decide what to do. He started to push a sale. This was literally his words: " we can start today, we have our laboratory here. You don't have to wait. We can do it for one day". I was so confused. I said I need to see how much is it, and think about it. At reception i asked lady how much will cost me to do cavities if I have, wisdom teeth removal, and crown. She said she don't know the price for cavities and wisdoms, but she can give me price for crown. Basically she printed me already for 2 visits estimate for 5 crowns change. I was looking at her, and didn't understand it. First of all, I have only 4 crowns, second why I need all of them change? Their prices ridiculous. It is double than anywhere else. I just left without answers. She only was telling doctor said need charge them all. After that in another independent dentistry they told me I have good crowns, and nothing I need to change. This place is scam. I feel so bad for people who need dentist, and they belive this doctor. He is literally just wanted to make money by change all my good crowns for no reason. Place is very unprofessional and not transparent with cost, they tried to upsell on everything. I didn't even get the cleaning done in which I made the appointment for sine they wanted to charge me an additional $200+ for a cleaning in which was covered by my insurance at no cost to me (that's why I pay for insurance) I wasted two hours there and didn't even get my cleaning done since I didn't want to pay for the upsell, they told me I need to then make another appointment for just the cleaning, place is very unethical!!!!!! read more

Very pleasant experience with the staff and the Dr. Dr Darbro explained clearly why my tooth was hurting using their digital images. He gave me options how to fix it with pros and cons. I was presented my options with payment plans. All I can say is it's hard to find a genuine dental team who care about you; I know I have to pay and it's not cheap but they work with you that it fits in your budget! read more

I have been coming here for about two years. I have never been disappointed, only when I had to change insurance plans. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and Dina, my dental hygienist, is the BEST she is so friendly and smart. I love our conversations. Also, she truly cares for her clients. She is so thorough and takes time to carefully do a great job. She always checks with you to see if you're in pain or in any discomfort. Anyway, I don't have any pictures. TERRIBLE PLACE. I had a 2PM appt.. I was 10 minutes early. I waited till 2:30pm, and finally asked the receptionist "what was the delay?" She lied to me saying, "oh the doctor had an emergency." I had been watching him casually walking, strolling around the office as I waited in the waiting area. I was expecting to get started on what he said I needed. He told me I needed SIX CROWNS in my back molars and that I needed ALL SIX of my veneers REPLACED.. (Suspicious of "service-gouging" I double checked with my previous dentist, to which he responded there's no way you need six crowns on your back molars!) When I questioned this shoddy DIGITAL SMILES place about his padded "to-do list" on my mouth, he wouldn't budge, stating that I'm gonna be in serious trouble if I don't get six crowns on my molars... the dentist is very young and my gut instinct told me initially that he was not the guy I wanted working on my mouth as I feel like he recently graduated from dental school. At my first and third visits, he went on to brag about his expertise in doing veneers, and this is the place where he really shines and he's very much looking forward to doing my veneers blah blah blah. Today after waiting for 45 minutes for someone to see me, the receptionist tells me that the dentist will now see me. I go to the room where I am directed expecting to get a deep cleaning and have him discuss the schedule for the work which by the way he was charging $33,000 for, and instead he informs me that he was not comfortable working on my teeth because of my personality. He literally told me that my expectations are higher than he's able to provide!!! I found Digital Smiles/Smile Emporium online, called and was given a new customer price of $29 for a Cleaning, Exam and X-Rays which sounded great; however they charged me $118 for this. Went to the San Pedro Office for a 10:30 AM appointment and was finished at 1 PM. The X-Rays and Cleaning by Marissa went great and Dr. Solomon did a thorough examination and consultation on recommending additional work to be done in the future, which was different than the last dentist recommended. They always try to get additional work... The bill was $118, not $48 as I had been told on the phone, but still a good deal. It just annoys me when they change the bill from what they already agreed to. They do offer a Savings Plan that you can join and pay for annually to get dental work done for about half of their normal pricing. I will probably be doing that when I return for my next visit which they said will be $177 for a regular Cleaning. With the $79 Plan the Cleaning is supposed to only cost $26; hopefully they won't add on other costs. Overall a great experience, I only gave 3 Stars because they changed the price from $29 to $118! read more

I've never experienced a more unprofessional establishment and wish i could leave less than one star. I arrived at my 3 pm appt at 250 and was asked to fill-out new patient paperwork, which I completed by 255. At 330 I asked the receptionist (who was on her phone) when I'd be seen. She immediately put her phone down and wandered to the back to find someone. A few minutes later the tech took me back for X-Rays which took another 20 minutes to complete. After more waiting the hygienist came in at 405 stating that the dentist would be there in 15-20 minutes (he was on his way from another location) and after he finished looking at my teeth she could start the cleaning and I'd be done at 6. I walked out. No apologies from the staff. This place is a joke. read more

About two weeks ago I had to select a new dentist b/c my dentist of many years was not on the "approved" list for my new Healthcare Plan. I selected Digital Smiles from a long list of "approved" dentists as the office was located in a familiar and nearby location.... the Peninsula Center in PV. Dr. Darbro and his staff, Crystal, Mycee, and Jesse were exceptionally good. I had been living with a cracked tooth in the upper back of my mouth for about a year. As it was causing me no pain, I lived with it. Procrastination would not go on forever, so when they offered to correct the problem and described how they would do it in ONE SITTING (!), I decided to get it done and stop worrying about it. I made the appointment for the next day and came back for the job. The technology they have these days to measure and create new crowns is really quite incredible. In about 1 hour and 45 minutes it was done! Amazing. The cost was reasonable and after two weeks of procrastinating about writing a Yelp review, I decided to make the effort. (Actually, I wanted to wait to see if I still felt as good about the work two weeks later as I felt the day I had it done.) I would recommend Dr. Darbro and his staff to anyone searching for a good dentist to do some serious work on their teeth. read more
