I rarely leave reviews, but feel this could save further patients from having a similar experience. I wish I could leave negative marks. Have had nothing but issues at this clinic, with Dr. Sutherland in particular. His staff for the most part do a good job, but the incompetence is at the doctor level. I've had the misfortune to see a lot of dentists over the years, so have a pretty good radar for who's good and who's not. Here there is this aura of arrogance, which trickles down from Dr. Sutherland. I should've known after just a few minutes in his chair. I had some normal issues with a tooth and old filling and came to see him. He rushed in, didn't ask any questions, didn't even look inside my mouth but only took an X-ray. Later he said that's all he needed to do what he needed to do, which was a crown at more than $2000.00 and a procedure that didn't even include a root canal. After suffering through lingering pain, his lackluster workmanship showed when the crown fell off during a European vacation. I saw a doctor in Italy and he looked at the tooth and crown and immediately said that it was poor workmanship, plain and simple. Once back he refused to see me for almost a week, citing schedule conflict. As I write this I'm waiting for the new crown that's made from 'superior material' to be prepared and attached. This is my 4th trip to the office for the same issue. I'm not asking for him to be a world class dentist, but normally when people lack a skill, they make up for it with good service, communication, accountability, responsibility. But these concepts are foreign to Dr. Sutherland. From start to finish it's been a case of 'I know what I'm doing, so let me do it'. No apologies for work done wrong, no questions or recommendations or dialog, just a one sided, very expensive, highly rude process. Out of all medical professions I feel dentistry is closest to artistry. There needs to be a talent and an eye for the detail and orientation to be perfect. In all the dentists I've had over the years Dr. Sutherland is the least talented, most incompetent dentist I've ever witnessed. I went to Peninsula Dental Arts about a year ago. I had a random day off of work and needed a cleaning. I work at Torrance Memorial and have a great dental PPO, so like all cleanings with insurance I thought it would be free. Boy was I wrong!! Not only did I write a check for $70 when I was there, I latter got a bill for $225 in the mail. The original $70 was because for a cleaning in their office they go slightly "below the gum line." I did put up a little bit of a fight about that because that's what a dental cleaning is! I've never went in and had the hygienist brush my teeth for me, a cleaning involves the scrapper/or water jet removing the plaque below the exposed tooth. When I got the bill in the mail and it showed that my insurance didn't cover most of what I got done I called to complain. The office biller said she would resubmit my bill to see if the insurance would cover anymore of the charges. The next bill I got was for $100 without a breakdown. I'm guessing it's for the 4 ($25 each) 8mp digital photographs they took with an old Cannon point-and-shoot of my teeth. That my insurance of-course didn't cover, because who would! It is interesting to read the reviews on this place and see how awful their practice is. I'm glad I'm only complaining over $100 and not thousands like other people. read more

I wish I had read the previous review before I went here. I thought, Palos Verdes, thats a nice place, the dentist should be too. Wrong! That's what I get for making assumptions. Firstly, they called to confirm my appointment 45 MINS before I needed to be there. Not 1 day like every other medical professional. I should've known they were trying to get me to miss the appt. Second, it took me forever to find the place b/c it is in the mall which has no order to it whatsoever. The waiting room was nice enough, but the receptionist was rarely there. When I first checked in, she didn't say anything to me at all. I had to ASK if there was paperwork to complete because I am a new patient. What?! So I see a technician and they take photos of my teeth and x-rays. That was fine, whatever. Then the dentist comes in an takes a QUICK look at says I'm gonna need more cleaning than usual and that they will show me pricing. Right off the bat, I'm thinking this isn't good. They have me go out to the waiting room and sit for a while and then take me into a room to go over pricing. They wanted $210 extra for services!! I immediately said I didn't want the extra cleaning ($100). They told me to go out to the waiting room AGAIN, and I called my insurance. I was told I could get silver fillings for free. So why wasn't I offered these? After waiting for probably 15 minutes, I finally get taken back for the cleaning. The technician was nice, but honestly did the most lack-luster job ever. It took about 5 mins. (That is not enough to do a good job.) After that I was sent to the waiting room AGAIN. After waiting about 15 MORE minutes, I am taken to the chair for the fillings. I told the technician I wanted the silver because it is covered under my plan and the composite is not. I am then told that they don't do those. I wonder why? Because they can make more money off of composites. I am then battered with reasons why they do not offer silver and why I should get composite. (They were not nice about this, and very harsh.) When I said I did not want the fillings, I was still criticized for not getting them. They didn't even know if I need a co-pay. I had to tell them about it. To say the least, I left unhappy and will not go back. Also, I ended up spending 2 HOURS there for a simple cleaning and check-up. read more

So...my senior citizen mother got a very expensive cleaning (all out of pocket since she does not have insurance) here...she got upsold a deep cleaning, as I guess they just do a cursory cleaning if you opt for the hyundai instead of the tesla package? The last time was 4 years ago ...and she literally received a bill yesterady for an unidentified procedure from January 1, 2021. LOL. What exactly is going on? What would have happened had she paid? She called the number on the invoice, and they told her to call another number. And they said this was for an appointment at the Torrance location in 2011. My mother has never been to any location but the Palos Verdes location. I have questions about data privacy, billing practices, and potential fraud targeting a protected class (the elderly) and will investigate before reporting these practices to the BBB. If you're reading this, you already know better. Everything posted here is accurate, as far as my personal experience went. The following are the facts of my visit. You may draw your own conclusions. I came here for a routine cleaning. I've never had a cavity in my life. As a rule I believe they don't clean you on the first visit here, an assistant takes photos and x-rays you, then the dentist sits beside you and reviews the photos. He said I needed a "deep cleaning" that would cost $500 and take two sessions. He mentioned gum medication. He suggested that I might have cavities because he saw a couple of black spots on my teeth, which I believe were just particles. He did not look at my actual teeth, only the photos. I was then led to a young woman at the desk who I believe is their financing agent. She seemed kind and sympathetic, and told me she had also undergone the $500 cleaning. She suggested I purchase better insurance, as my current insurance would only cover a tiny amount of this $500. She offered to set me up with a payment plan and booked me for two cleanings. When I later cancelled the appointments, they continued to call me relentlessly. I went back to my old dentist. He gave me a regular cleaning and said my teeth were fine, no cavities. There was just a lot of plaque. I paid $20. This experience has altered my perception of the practice of dentistry in this country. read more

I should have read this before I went in for a cleaning. Overall, my experience with them wasn't bad, but I refuse to give them a higher score than one star due to the following reasons: I was told by the finance lady that I owed $99, while the insurance would pick up $150. It turns out I shouldn't have had to pick up anything because I called my insurance and they said as long as the place is my selected dentist, I have no charge. I know I selected them when I signed up. Either way, it's fishy. Secondly, all the reviews on yelp say that if you have an infection they tell you they can drill into your crown to root canal the infection out. However, they do not need to do that; they could remove the crown first, which would save it and prevent $1000 in fees from you out of pocket. It's a scam. The first dentist told me during my initial visit that I might not need this procedure, but the expert looked at my x-ray for two seconds and sternly said I need it. You've got to wonder with all the one star reviews why they bother to pay the $300 a month for yelp. Don't use them. I'm looking for another dentist. read more

My hygiene work was good, I have my teeth cleaning every 34 months and I have many experience with many hygenist. I didn't get any other work done, fortunately so I can't review on that. This was my first and I was not fond of the waiting. My appointment was set first hour for exam and consultation and next hour for cleaning. I waited 20 or more minute for first examination which is understandable. It was all done in 10 minutes. I had to wait for another 50 minutes then to get my teeth cleaning. I really like Dr. Nishikawa. He always takes the time to answer all the questions I throw at him and doesn't make me feel rushed. I try to schedule all my appointments with him because he doesn't talk to you like doctors do - he speaks to you as if you're his peer. He even introduced himself as "Dr. Daryn", not by his last name. He's handsome to boot haha. As far as the facility goes, it's nice and clean and the staff are always on top of things. You might wait a little bit, but that's so standard for California that it doesn't matter. The staff are nice enough - again, you're going to wait, but you'll wait anywhere. Stay away from this place. So the crown work I had done in 2011 never felt right and now a part has come off. When they insisted that I do the ceramic crown they said they'd take care of any damages for life. I guess life means something different to them. I was informed that because I did not continue to be fleeced by them and remain at their office for dental care I would have to pay $500 out of pocket for the repair and...... have dental surgery. HEALTH WARNING!!! I went in for a cleaning and ended up with a horrible infection. I've been sick and unable to eat solid food for two weeks. I have never had a cavity and was in otherwise excellent health, but this one visit to PDA left me with a week of headaches, pain and vomiting. I called the office when I realized this was serious and they didn't have a dentist in that day, "We will try to fit you in Tomorrow". I went in the next day and they still didn't have someone on staff who could figure out what happened. They sent me to their Oral Surgeon in Long Beach. One look into my mouth and he had me prescribed a number of medications, he agreed this was due to the deep cleaning even though that is a super rare occurrence. I've been in 3 times now and have never met "my dentist" Steven Sutherland. Dr Burgess, came in for just 2 minutes to look at my my xrays (not my mouth), before they launched into the deep cleaning hard sale. Every other visit has been with someone new. The Oral Surgeon asked me to comeback in two weeks so he can check on my progress which is great. It would have been nice to also get a call from my actual dentist to check in on me. I get it, this kind of reaction to a cleaning is rare, but why would you not follow up with a patient who is in this much pain and suffering after leaving your office. I feel extra bad because I had forced my girlfriend to switch dentist so we could go to the same office. She is a bookkeeper and has found she has been overbilled $700 for some fillings that should have been covered by her insurance. I really wanted this to be a good office to refer my clients to, so much so I neglected to look it up on Yelp before signing up. I will not make that mistake again. You have been warned. read more

I was a patient at Peninsula Dental Arts for about a year and a half, but I'm taking my business elsewhere now for better value and service. I believe this office takes much greater advantage than even other dental offices of your insurance benefits. I can't determine the quality of work as I've only done cleanings. But even with my insurance coverage (which is VERY generous) , and the same or comparable amount of cleaning, Peninsula charges an additional $80. I also think their services are highly over priced, on the magnitude of 3-4X the going rate. When I once had a filling that had to be redone before the orthodontist would begin applying my braces, I received a quote of $800 after applying my insurance coverage. I called around to few dentists in the South Bay, and all 3 quoted me a price of only $200. The work I did at this "discount" dentist was verified by my orthodontist as perfectly acceptable. The last straw occurred when I arrived halfway through my appointment (ok my fault, I couldn't find the office in the mall) and they said they could maybe accommodate me 2-4 hours later. What's surprising was that their dental hygienist was busy chatting it up and couldn't shift her lunch time for only 10-20 minutes. Considering I was previously made to wait on 3 separate occasions between 20-45 minutes and received a disingenuous "sorry". I'm surprised and upset they couldn't make a minor accommodation in their schedule that was obviously far from busy. I advise all Yelpers to call other dental offices before any major dental work to save a couple hundred bucks and all potential customers to consider other dental offices. read more

BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS. If your business has more than 10 reviews and EVERY SINGLE PERSON gave it ONE star, you have to know as a consumer that there is something VERY wrong. I usually use Yelp to guide me through different places of business, but this time I made the mistake of assuming I would receive decent care because of the office's location. Even if a business has average ratings, I still go through a few reviews to see the quality of each review before making my own decision. The office is located inside of the Peninsula Shopping Center. It is very clean and up to date with the latest technology. However, real patient care has nothing to do with how high-tech your machinery is. I should have known better than to choose this office without looking on Yelp first. Unfortunately for me, I didn't care to check Yelp until I was in the middle of my appointment and waiting to be seen by the dentist. Don't get me wrong, the office is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly (I saw Dr. Klein who was super sweet), but when it comes to finances - that's where the shadiness begins. Each person on here pretty much complained of getting swindled into thinking they needed certain work done and then after getting a second opinion - realized that Peninsula Dental Arts over-dramatizes the treatment plan. The office has a designated manager who sits down with you after being seen by the dentist and reviews your treatment plan/cost. I was told I needed all sorts of work done. I even switched to PPO insurance to lower the out of pocket costs (which still wasn't cheap). I understand that dental work is expensive and that it is a business, but whatever happened to honesty and honor as a medical professional. I was told that I needed a root canal due to the "shadows" that appeared in the photos. I eventually found another dentist via Yelp who was EXCELLENT. He told me that the treatment plan suggested was extreme and that they did not perform the necessary exams or discuss proper proof to even be able to determine such a treatment plan. We are going the normal route first and trying all possible measures to fix my issues before resorting to a root canal which in his opinion is a "last resort". I am so pleased to have found this new dentist. I know that the practice is privately owned and that they have associates working for them. It's a shame because Dr. Klein is extremely nice and pleasant. Please look for another office and avoid the headache of getting unnecessary work done and having to pay an arm and a leg for no reason. I was billed $155 for each cleaning, they said I needed two! And I was charged $1,050 for a ceramic inlay (partial crown). I have MetLife/Safequard insurance and was told all cleanings should be free and a ceramic crown has a copay of about $225. There seems to be some fraud or total incompetence with this place. It also took forever to get a referral for work for my daughter even though she was in pain with a fast growing cavity in the side of her tooth. Turns out my wife has been getting charged for cleanings over the years when those should be a $0.00 co pay. We're putting in a grievance claim with the HMO. I first took my kids, I found out later that a filling they supposedly did on my son was non-existent and he didn't even have a cavity. Unfortunately I didn't find that out until after my husband and I both went and we were each told we need over $3,000 worth of work. We declined the work and went for routine cleanings. About 8 years ago I went in for a filling and it was done incorrectly and started to hurt really bad. I went in twice to have it re filled, however the last time it started hurting so bad I felt like I was going to pass out. I called repeadly and no one would pick you. I finally got ahold of someone and said it was a emergency and they told me no one could see me for 2 days. Not being able to deal with the pain I had to go to another dentist and had to have it pulled because I could not afford a root canal. I will not go back! I went in for my first appointment and was 10 minutes early thinking I would have to fill out paperwork. I waited 50 minutes until someone acknowledged I was there and then gave me the paperwork. There was no receptionist and no one even said hello or had my name to know I was there. After nearly an hour of waiting I was taken back to get X-rays then a dentist came in to examine my teeth, took 5 minutes. She said I need a cleaning but I will have to schedule that another time. I totally agree with the other reviews. DO NOT go to Peninsula Dental Arts. I should have read the reviews before I went to this dental office. I went in for a root canal treatment. (According to the other dental office which I consulted the other day, I just need a root canal treatment. The ceramic crown is still functional. The reason I did not have treatment with the other office is that they don't take HMO. This place does.) However, the dentist (endodontist) here did root canal by drilling through my ceramic crown without asking my permission. He should have removed the crown, and then put it back after root canal treatment. But he did not. Instead, he ruined my ceramic crown. They told me that I need a new crown ($995) since the old one is fragile. Can you believe it? This office just wants to rip you off. DO NOT GO here!!!!!!!!! read more

NEVER EVER GO THERE!!! They are very sneaky about the billing. Though we have the dental PPO5000 insurance, they still charged us a hefty amount saying that this is the part we're responsible for. Then 2 months later got the statement from insurance stating our responsibility is much less than we paid. Went back to talk to them and they are dodgy stating our balance is applied to the service we got from Torrance Dental arts. Talked back to Torrance dental arts and they kicked us back here... We have every ledger and insurance statements proving they're owing us several hundreds of dollars while they're still evasive about this. Three times I have had to send a complaint to my dental insurance company. Each time they said I was covered w/ my insurance and then they billed me more then my insurance said I needed to pay. This last time, I chipped my front tooth and my insurance and insurance broker said I was 100% covered, and they said no I had would have to pay the complete amount of $185.00 because they considered this cosmetic procedure, It is not, it is a chip on the corner of a front tooth! This dentist is no longer located at 927 Deep Valley Drive. They've moved into the mall at 550 and will instruct you to park in the structure at Starbucks on the roof level. That made them easy to find. I changed to this dental office from one in Long Beach because I moved to the area. Seems there's a lot of problems with Dr. Sutherland. Yes, he is one of the owners. However, I saw Dr. Kline. My appointment was confirmed the Friday before (for a Tuesday appt). Dr. Kline is wonderful! After digital 'x-rays' and photos were taken, she came by to look at the pictures and make a thorough examination of not only my teeth but she also conducted a hands-on examination of my jaw bone and other facial and mouth muscles, ligaments, joints and structures as well. She said I can no cavities. However, adeep cleaning was recommended to me as well but it had already been recommended to me some time ago by my previous dentist, so I wasn't surprised. Because I have no insurance and will be paying cash, they contracted a much lower rate than the $500 spoken of by another Yelper. I had a broken filling in the back and they are doing a crown on that for a cash rate that actually beat that offered by my previous dentist. Not only that, because of the process they use, it will be done in one appointment instead of two as required by many dentists for crowns. That's important to me as it's very difficult for me to take time off work. Someone previously yelped that they were upset about not being able to receive silver fillings. If I had a choice, I would never put a silver filling in my mouth. They are the ones that gave me problems years later. They are cheap and may be proven to not be good for you. That's why insurance covers them 100 percent. I understand that I may be in the minority here as a reviewer in that I don't carry dental insurance and am able to pay cash. I could buy a dental plan on my own but find them cost prohibitive and a real pain in getting coverage for anything you want done. When you go into an office with no insurance and cash payment they are oftentimes willing to go above and beyond to make things work for you and your budget. I would highly recommend Dr. Kline at Peninsula Dental Arts. When working with Betty, the office manager that sits you down with your services plan and costs, it would benefit you to have done your research and know what the going rate is that is charged for comparable dental work either on a cash basis or through your insurance. You could always opt to leave with the treatment plan, do your reserach, and call later to book an appointment or for further discussion. As an additional note, my first appointment of full digital 'x-rays', pictures, exam and consultation with the dentist, and consultation and discussion with Betty about treatment, cost a total of $10! Be assured that Peninsula Dental Arts is much more a 'cutting-edge' and 'newer technology' kind of office. I, for one, am glad for that fact. read more

So now that it's a new calendar year and I switched back to the other insurance and my old dentist....I can even further validate the lies this office told since I have concrete proof from a reputable dentist. Just as I knew, I have ZERO cavities, not the 5 they said I had. I don't need any Cerac fillings as they said I did, AND I don't need a deep cleaning as they said I did. Per my long time dentist, I have great teeth with very little tartar on them. And, because I told them of my horror story with this dentist and all the things they said I needed done, they spent extra time poking and prodding my teeth and gums and took full mouth x-rays just to be sure there was nothing wrong with them. Just fyi....my dentist said this is quite a common practice to tell people they need more work than they do so they can support their practice - especially if it's an office that takes HMO patients. What???? I can't believe the bad reviews. The staff is SUPER friendly and works around my tough tour schedules. I just had one crown and four fillings replaced last night. Beth is the BEST dentist I have ever been too. I didn't feel the needle go in at all and woke up and am not in any pain. I am eating food today. DON'T GO!!!!! I swtichd from a denitst I LOVED in Santa Ana to this place becuse I live in San Pedro and thought that it must be nice given the location. Of, the place is nice, but the staff and their practice are TERRIBLE!!!! On my first visit in December I had to wait about 30 minutes. Iwas x-rayed and then saw the dentist who advised me that I needed a "deep cleaning." I am 48 with only 1 cavity ever. Every dentist I have seen prior has told me what great teeth I have, but because I had been wearing, and was wearing braces) for about 2 years at that time, I said OK. The "finance" lady told me that it would cost me over $100 myself bc my insurance did not cover the "deep" cleaning, only regular. I said Ok. But they did not do the cleaning that day! I had to go back! When I went back, I waited about an hour to be seen, where the receptionist was either never at her desk or completely unhelpful. I then had my "deep" cleaning which did not seem any deeper than other regular cleaning I had gotten the last 48 years of my life! OK, whatever. They did not even give me a toothbrush on the way out. This was end of December. It's May now and I went in for another cleaning - so about 4 months later. I walked in and luckily was seen right away as I had a 7:45 am appt. I met with the same dental hygienist who I have no complaints about, and she cleaned my teeth. I was not looked at by a dentist. She told me my teeth/gums were in great shape and that I did not need to come back for 6 months. I went to receptionist who gave me an appt in November and then she said "That will be $110." ???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked her FOR WHAT?! She tried to explain that i had deep cleaning again (how can it even remotely be deep when it last about 15 minutes!!) I was then sent to the "finance" lady again who tried to tell me that the docvtor when I was first seen "precribed" a dental tratement going forward that consisted on a deep clenaing every time and that i would be paying the extra amount every time, bc that is what I agreed to bc that is what I paid the last time. WTF??!! I said I agreed LAST TIME!! No mention was ever made to me that this is what would happen every time I went!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically I went ballistic in as callm a manner as I could. Being a lawyer, I am not about to get swindled!!! I told her that not only was I NOT paying the $110, that I wowuld file a complaint with my dental insurance and whatever complaint/grievance I could file against them. These people are CROOKS!!!!! do not go there.what they put me through was unethical and fraudulent. i went in because my wisdom teeth were hurting me , so it was time to have them pulled. I went in and had my exam, Dr. Sutherland was very nice and said it would be a simple procedure. ok lets do this right? wrong!!! they were off to a bad start after he looked at my xrays i needed all four extracted he also mentioned i had a loose crown and needed to be replaced, (it had been hurting) so i said fine, a deep cleaning(whatever its been a while). So I was sent to Ann the "mANAGER" his right hand man" and she gave me a price breakdown, she said that in addition to the extractions, they would fill the empty socket with bone graft, so i said ok, give me the procedure codes and i'll confirm with my insurance(she didn't like that), when i got home sure enough they had over quoted me for everything, so i called and they adjusted the price. Treatment day came i didnt go under, so i was wide awake and alert, he pulled all four teeth(and chipped my front tooth wile doing it) not cool) gauzed me up and sent me home. No bone graft, no sutures,hmmm, so the next morning i called them, i explained that the doctor didn't do the bone graft which i had paid for, they said they would confirm with him and get back to me, a week goes by and no phone call, so i called again this time he said he did do the bone graft and i just didnt know. BS!!!! after speaking with a few other dentist, i was sure he didn't do the procedure, so i requested an xray, and sure enough NO BONE GRAFT! wtf, the doctor refused to see me(guilt) and Ann said his partner would have to approve the refund,i raised hell and said he better refund me my money $500 they charged me for a procedure he didnt even do.another week goes by and they wont return my call, so monday morning i walked right in and said i'm not leaving until you give me all my money back $1500 in total (i was scheduled to have the crown done the following week), TWO hours later Ann came out with my check. The absolute worst dental office I've ever been to. Besides the expensive and uncovered "deep cleaning" scam others have mentioned, in my case Sutherland said I needed 3 crowns ($1000 each) and Although I was not in any pain then (though later I would be) he also said I needed two root canals at $1275! Plus a $60 "consult" with an endodontist was an added bogus charge, there was no consultation, and was not covered by insurance. BTW, Sutherland does not give you crowns-- he does what he calls "ceramic reconstructions" which your insurance will not cover at the same rate as regular crowns. In fact, my insurance reviewed the X-rays and determined one the 3 teeth Sutherland crowned "was not medically necessary as there was no evidence of trauma or decay." That $1000 was not covered of course, and they will never refund it unless I take them to Small Claims Court, which I may. To add insult to injury, one of the two root canals done by Dr. Smolkin DID NOT REMOVE THE NERVE COMPLETELY and has been temperature sensitive for the last 6 months! Now I have to have the root canal redone through the "crown"... Which will probably weaken the tooth. The final insult was that their account people, Betty and Anne, incompetents both, OVERCHARGED me $422 (confirmed by my insurance company), denied it, and are giving me a runaround in my attempts to get the refund that is due to me. No one will take any responsibility and in fact are completely obnoxious and unhelpful. Consider yourself warned, and be aware that Sutherland runs 5 or 6 offices in the South bay. All these one star ratings are on here for good reasons, so beware! read more

Stay away from Peninsula Dental Arts!! They are crooks!!! They would have a better chance of scamming customers in a low income community. Peninsula,educated people won't fall for that CON and over charging consumers for what you know should be covered by their insurance. You do have a nice office. Well, I should have looked at Yelp first. The front office person is a mess. She is scattered and full of excuses as to why a cleaning cost me over $100. I have insurance to receive regular cleanings but for some reason I was charged. Basically, they did an irrigation without consent which puts me out of regular cleaning coverage. I think the hygenist was good, but the lack of communication and clarity with the front office clerk just makes me feel like their not too honest at this place. I wish I had read all these reviews before I went here. I agree with them all. I went knowing I needed alot of work. I wanted them to check it out and advise me of all my options. I was happy with the new girl who took the x-rays and with the new dental hygienist. End of likes. the dentist told me I needed a bridge and I asked about implants. She said she was not sure it was an option but said she would have me talk to the periodontist. Before I left on that day, the bookkeeper? finance girl, explained my expenses upcoming. When the hygienist did my deep cleaning she said she was going to have dentist check another tooth that she felt needed pulling. my 3rd trip back they started prepping me for bridge and I stopped it asking what about my talk with periodontist about options. They sent the finance girl in who sat arguing with me as if I was making it all up. To avoid making this longer, they finally agreed that they would do my bone graft that would be good for bridge or implant and told me implant dentist would call. They did not which was fine which sent me looking elsewhere. When I found a thorough dentist that I have very much confidence in, I asked for my records and xrays. I picked them up (they would not send to dentist) and paid $10 for the sealed envelope. It turns out they only put xrays in envelope. No records even though we discussed it twice when I went to pick them up. I would say this place is a joke if there was not so much at stake. I still am waiting for consultation after review from this new dentist. I hope I do not find out more bad news about Peninsula Dental Arts. So run do no walk away from that building!!! read more
