So my boyfriend and I went to this place to get our projector fixed. We didn't know what was wrong with it so we paid $90 for a diagnostic...which the $90 would go to the fix priced. Well they told us it would take about a week. They would call us. Two weeks pass by and we got no call. So I had to call to ask what was going on. So the guy told me it was going to be $xxxx. So I decided to go pick it up. The lady in the front named " ailene " has no personal at all. We walk in and no greeting. Silence and snobby. Then the guy comes and brings out projector and then he's like she's ( " ailene " ) will help u with your receipt. So we are standing there in awkward silence for like 5 minutes.She prints out my receipt and then she's like here. She could of been like " okay so I'll help you with your paperwork. Give me a few seconds and I'll print it out to you". But literally nothing just silence. She acted like a snobby bitch. In reality if it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't be anything. Not impressed at all with this place. Turned in a keyboard 2 months ago for a relatively minor repair. Found out today the tech who was supposed to work on it left the company and it's been sitting in a warehouse with no paperwork. We had to refax the paperwork and they still haven't stated on it. read more

Our overall experience with them is good. We sent Panasonic DVX camcorder to fix. They did good job on fixing electronic circuit issue in the camera. Yet, their labor charge was a bit pricey! Their Yelp review is not good so we weren't sure about sending it here. But they are the only Panasonic certified repair center in CA for professional camcorders. So we had no choice. But they did good job on our camcorder so I would use them again but we hope that they lower the price. read more

Terrible. The people are RUDE, Its is wildly over priced and they do BAD work. Sorry that just the truth. Its a shame that Tascam gave their repair contract to them, they used to have amazing service before they gave it to Digitron. Bad decision. Almost every time I get someone on the phone for my repair they are rude to me. DO NOT TAKE anything you care about here for repair. They break more than they fix and then charge YOU for it!!!. This is a terrible business and you should stay away from them. I brought in a vintage synth with specific instructions on the three relatively simple things needing repair. After a couple weeks of complete radio silence from them, I called them inquiring about its status. I ended up having to call four times to get any sort of meaningful answer because every time they said they'd call me back with an update but never did. And after talking with them it was clear they had no idea what they were doing and don't know how to use the internet because again, I spelled out very clearly what was broken and if they didn't understand it all they would have to do is a simple internet search for answers. And finally when they said the keyboard was ready I went to pick it up and it was wrapped in plastic making it impossible to test at the shop. But I paid for it assuming everything was fine and take it home and guess what... It's not even fixed! They neglected one the three things which was also the most obvious of the three that anyone with any sort of understanding of musical equipment would spot within seconds of testing it. I then took even more time out of my day to bring it back to them expecting good customer service and was met with more confusion and unprofessionalism. This place communicates poorly, doesn't understand musical equipment, and does shoddy work. Stay away. read more

About a year ago I took my JBL PRX615 in because it would not turn on. I got it checked in at Digitron and was told it would get diagnosed and I would be given a call. After two weeks with no call back from DIgitron I decided to call. I was told that even though JBL gives their speakers a 5 year warranty I still had to pay Digitron $240 just to get it fixed. WTH! I say no thank you and take my speaker to JBL in Northridge, CA of course. They replace the input/output on the amplifier and ship it back to me at the unbelievable price of $0. Thank you JBL!! I brought many many units to Digitron over many years because they keep doing splendid work. The last thing I brought in was a Tascam multi-track tape deck that everyone else told me was obsolete and not worth fixing. I needed it fixed because I have a lot of old tapes I want to transfer, so I took it to Digitron and they fixed it perfectly. They even said they could save me some money by putting a used board in it and still they guaranteed it for 90 days. If you have equipment that is important to you, this is a great repair station. read more

A friend told me these guys could fix my Panasonic Video Camera. I first tried to call Panasonic, but they recommended Digitron. I took it in and they wanted $90 for an estimate so I almost left, but then the guy told me that if they fixed it, there would be no charge for the estimate. I knew I was going to get it fixed, so I said OK. It works fine, just like new, and it's been two months and it still works great (and it was guaranteed for 3 months). I don't like to give 5 stars because there's always something better somewhere, but I can't complain about the work they did for me. It was cheaper than buying a new one by a long shot. read more

The battery tabs broke on the back of my Panasonic HVX200 a while back. This was real pain because I had a shoot coming up and needed the camera working as soon as possible. I called up Panasonic and they recommended Digitron as a local certified camcorder repair shop so I gave them a try. They took care of the issue and had a pretty quick turn around time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I work with who owns camera equipment. read more

Normally once my electronics are breaking down and out of a warranty, I tend to not try to deal with all the hassle and repair costs. I had a Sanyo projector that had some discoloration and kept switching on and off and I figured it was toast; but a buddy of mine recommended me here and they got it working no problem for much less than what I would have been looking to spend on a new one. read more

I have worked for a local College with 7 recording studios, 46 workstations and a million or so pieces of equipment, and whatever we cannot fix in-house we have brought to Digitron for over 20 years. They repair, modify and guarantee their work. They always tell me "If it doesn't work . . .bring it back within 90 days and we'll re-repair it". Luckily, I only had to try that out once for hundreds of repairs. I have never found a make or model that they cannot or will not fix. read more

Terrible Service. Bought a Jamman loop pedal that went bad on me 6 months in and had the pro coverage on it so sent to them since they were the closest repair to me. Been waiting almost 4 months now to get it back. I Have spoken to the same guy every time who says he's the manager, originally in april giving him a copy of my receipt, and an explanation of what was wrong. Waited a couple months and called to ask why it was taking so long and he told me it had been sitting in the warehouse for a couple months and it didn't have paper work. I was a the ups store when they mailed it out so I know that is a lie, plus we had already spoken on the phone so he knew the situation. Then he asks for my receipt again so I sent it along with an email explaining again what happen asking if there was anything else i needed to do. Never got a response so emailed again a week ago and asked how the repair was coming... no response. So I called today to ask how the repairs were coming and he still didn't know what I was talking about then asks for my receipt AGAIN. I had to explain everything to him all over and he tried to lie saying the pedal had only been there a month, which is when i called after waiting 2 months already. Then tells me they have been away for the holidays... sorry that doesn't excuse the past 3 1/2 months dude, and then says "we will do our best" when i asked if they could please start working on it this time. What a horribly managed, scummy business. I will be surprised if I actually get it back fixed. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. So first off, I sent my headphones in to get fixed under a warranty. If you want to get in contact with this company it is EXTREMELY difficult, they ignore emails, dont respond back, dont do things they say they will do. I was told this would probably take 2 weeks, finally got my headphones back after 4 months. During that 4 months I had to harass them in order to get any type of update on where my cans were. When I got them back finally, They did not send me my detachable wire for my phones back so now I have to order a new one because no way in hell am I dealing with this company ever again. There is also a screw driver sized hole in the pad that was not there before. The company is a complete cluster F*** and just so uncordinated I am actually amazed it is still somewhat functional. So if you want a company that wont tell you what is going on even if there is complications or anything as simple as needing a different shipping address then this is that company. Honestly this has been the worst experience with any company or corporation I have had. read more

I do not usually wright a bad review unless you really deserve it, and these guy's take the cake. I sent a pair of AKG headphones in for service in JULY because AKG was closed for renovations and recommended Digitron to do the repair for us (We Are And AKG retailer). The company told me that they could not be repaired under warranty because they were physically damaged which we approved a $100 plus dollar repair for them to repair them. Long story short, they told me that the three parts they needed to get the repair done for us were on backorder. After no less than 6 phone calls and 6 months had gone by they finally arrived back in our store today. The headphones were opened up with a screwdriver by the looks of it, and i believe they just re-soldered a connection on the headphone cord and then left a brand new cord still in the bag in the returned box for the headphones to show that something was replaced. The cord that was supposedly changed out was so filthy dirty it took a white piece of paper towel and blackened it as i was cleaning it. We will never do business with this company EVER again and i wish i had read the reviews before we sent anything to them for service . read more
