The biggest highlight is the atmosphere, as Condors games have a strong hometown feel with cowbells, cheers, the kiss cam and real NHL hockey energy. The game presentation also adds to the fun, with fun intermission activities, promotions, and fan experiences,great yet nearly impossibleto comllete or win,, the arena is easy to get to, get in with more than just one entrance, parking is now horrendous and expensive nearby off N Street, my opinion arrive super early and get street parking, walk to get dinner and then to the stadium.. The venue is generally practical and well organized Ushers do their job well, The main lowlights are that concession foornis mediocre, lines can get long and service can be slow, and the entry process doing a Condors game is restricted to Two Doors into metal detectors, absolutely more time-consuming than necessary because of bag checks, metal detectors, and other rules. These are understood but open more than two doors before game time that would help with the process. Our experience was a great experience up until the Guest services supervisor,showed his butt( not physically but literally), I knew he was a guest services supervisor because he was announced on the ice and was appreciated for doing his job apparently.( this was some sort of staff appreciation night) anyhow he was seated in front of us about four rows ahead with a gardeners hat and a 10" brim, that forced the people who were supposed to sit behind him to move, also he did not sit down during the whole game and was just obnoxious. Not sports arena obnoxious, just obnoxious. The GSS when leaving to walk up the stairs he had to wait, as game was in play, while waiting he was more than obnoxious to the man standing next to him and his lady (while he waited ) he started screaming very cllose to his ear "let's go Condors" less than 3 ft away from the man, I literally butted in and told him to chill and he went further up the stairs to continue yelling let's go condors which is fine but just not in someone's ear anyway, hope I never have to deal with this dude personally because it shows you what kind of person he I believe he felt emboldened because he worked there and he had approximately 20 family members there that day but I can tell just in that moment as a Condors employee he's a problem. If not to anyone else to people he doesn't believe deserves respect because he seems to think he's above them as an employee. Anyway we had a good time the food for me was way too expensive but a friend of mine bought me a $2 hot dog this hot dog wasn't worth 15 cents it seem to be overcooked the bun was soft but too moist for a hot dog to be enjoyed so I decided to leave at the beginning of the third quarter when the Condors were down 3-1 and knew it probably wasn't going to get better as we walked out. I think im psychic .... as we walked up the stairs San Diego Gulls scored another goal which put it at four to one and therefore solidified my exit to go pick up a cheap meal at Taco Bell anyway great experience great energy keep me away from obnoxious people which is kind of hard to do at sports events but I digress Dignity Health Arena seems to be well run and sort of reminded me why I had season tickets in the 2000s. The BEST SEATS at an AHL (American Hockey League) venue! I'm touring the pacific division and hitting up all 10 teams, this time I came to see the Bakersfield Condors. I had a blast at the Country Night game with my Mom. The outside of Dignity Health is stunning, I love the fountain, spacious plaza, and shiny windows. The entire property is super clean and inviting. I walked in and the Dignity Health event staff were friendly. Everyone had a lovely attitude (minus a gift shop dude) and was very helpful. Our usher/attendant downstairs ( a younger, heavy-set gentleman) was absolutely amazing! He had excellent customer service and was dressed professionally. All ushers had a neat uniform and were instantly recognizable. Our only issue with the venue, is that some of the concourse level is a little bland. It's almost too industrial and needs slightly more color. Thankfully, the arena has plenty of food, concessions stands and pop-ups at almost every corner! We tried the popcorn and it was decent (maybe needs a little more butter). The lady at the popcorn stand was kind. As for main event, we were impressed with the ice, seats, and Jumbotron. I had ample space for my legs and a cushion for my backside. Additionally, I didn't have to squint to see the stats, everything was easy to see from our vantage point. The arena has good lighting and has a family-friendly feel. Shoutout to the family restrooms, those are a lifesaver. Note: Parking on Level 1 of the adjacent parking structure is $20. Parking on every other level (2 and up) is $15. We opted to parking on the second floor as we don't mind walking down the stairs to get to the arena. read more

I do like to come and see the condors play here and the cinch rodeo was really fun to watch but whoever does the sound for the shows must be deaf because the sound is so loud that the speakers are crackling and almost everyone in my section was holding their ears. If it was just a couple of clicks lower it would have been perfect. Luckily the staff had ear plugs for my kids, free of charge. A Condors game is a must to attend. The aura is wonderful and will change your frame of mind. It sure gets me up and screaming and cheering for The Condors! The announcer is awesome and really gets people pumped up. Like any other event at a venue, it is expensive. Food and drinks are overpriced. It is a bummer that we are not allowed to bring any outside food, drinks, or candy. Also, the seats are pretty small. You're pretty much shoulder to shoulder with people. With family, it's all good, but with strangers, it's awkward, especially when you want to yell and make noise and don't want to be inconsiderate with strangers around you. read more

I'm a little upset I traveled to this arena. I did not see a parking garage, traffic getting in was crazy in every direction and from I saw I think it is located in a bad area. I went to Friday Night Raw and I was surprised there was an arena in Bakersfield. Upon entering, its very old and needs a serious update. They sell food, drinks, and alcohol. Inside, the rows are tight together leaving no room for error. When people want to leave the row everybody has to get up. Overall, I was surprised WWE was able to put on the show they did with pyrotechnics. This arena got the job done but it needs a serious redo. read more

This arena isn't big so every seat is a great seat! The workers are happy to help and guide you where you need to go. On my part it was a bit chilly inside which is good when there's a lot of bodies and body heat. I ordered some nachos and it was a huge portion, granted it was $16 but when you're hungry its worth it; lots of cheese and lots of chips!!! The beers are expensive ranging from $13-18 and they change the prices depending on the artist which is a bit weird, but they have many MANY stations for food and drinks. read more

This is a nice convention center, restrooms are located very close to whichever door you choose to come out of the main theatre area which is a big plus! Seats we comfortable but could use just a little more leg room as everyone is forced to stand up or be assaulted if someone in the middle of the aisle needs out. Came here for my nieces graduation. It was a stadium, it was so much better than the Bakersfield heat. Street parking right outside.

We were in the theater. It's attractive, and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The only problem (well, other than the inevitable long lines for the women's restroom that eat up intermission) is the extremely tight seating. I'm 5'6" and weigh less than 140 pounds, and I didn't have room to put my arms at my sides - they had to rest on my lap in front of me unless the small arm rest happened to be available. This was exacerbated by the backs of the seats being covered all the way to the floor, so there was no way to extend legs under the seat in front. My taller husband was pretty well healed from surgery several months before but had to stand for the second half because he couldn't extend his legs at all and was in pain from the pressure on the incision site. Overall, a nice experience, but you'll feel like you're seated on an airplane - with less leg room. read more

First time at Mechanics Bank Arena and convention center for a cheer competition. The arena was nice, the parking was a bit chaotic with signs saying turn right but it meant at the second light not the first street that the sign was posted! Pricing for the venue was more expensive than competitions that we've attended in high cost areas like Vegas, and the event service fees were ridiculous per ticket while purchasing at the site!! Just attended Zach Bryan's concert here and I noticed a few things which left me disappointed. First, I received an email about ordering your merch online to avoid the lines. This was the worst idea ever! They were not organized enough to successfully complete this. Per the email you'd be able to pick up merch before the concert but when I arrived they had a sign for pickup after 8pm. I was unable to go until the show was over and it was the most frustrating thing to watch once I finally made it to the pickup area. Merch lines were shorter than the "preorder merch line". Second, pit entry is faulty here. Once you walk down floor access points there is staff at the entry who ask to see your ticket. Once you show them then they place a wristband on you, the problem in this is that people start figuring it out and screenshooting their tickets for others or simply bringing others down who did not pay for pit. This made for a very crowded experience in pit. I've been in pit for many concerts before and this by far felt the most crowded which I'm sure was due to extra people being down there. Lastly, during the concert I purchased two beers which were the same kind and same size. When you are in pit your beers get poured into a clear cup. My first beer I purchased on the floor and my cup was filled about 3/4 full. Later I purchased a beer upstairs which was given to me in a can, when going back into pit my beer was taken and poured into a cup by staff. What I found interesting is not only was my cup fully filled but I also still had some beer in the can that was handed back to me to finish. What I realized in this moment was the beer cart on the floor was not pouring the entirety of a can. With beers being $17 a can here it is really disappointing that the staff do this. Overall the concert was great but this was fully due to the artist. I live in Bakersfield and tend to avoid concerts here due to past experiences. I can only hope they try to improve. read more

I was out with my family tonight for a condors game my father was having trouble on the seating screen, and the women helping him was being rude for no reason when he just need help she had purple hair. It became an altercation,she was getting and attitude which made my father upset and started an argument, we eventually got to our seats and we had a security guard come up to my family and tell us all to leave the arena. This security guard put hands on my friend that was walking. I think Rabobank Arena is a nice arena. I have visited this arena on several different occasions. A couple of times for my husband's company's Christmas party and a few times for events and yes I'm guilty.... even when Pokémon Go started and you were able to find some Pokémon's here, matter fact, I caught my first Ghastly here haha. My recent visit was the first annual HS career expo that was held by Kern HS District alongside Dignity Health. My oldest is a senior this year, so it was a great event to attend and such a great experience for these kids. A lot of young adults don't know what career path they want to go to school for, so this gives them an opportunity to decide and to help them get a glimpse of what they need to look forward to. It also gives the kids an opportunity to see that they don't need to settle for just one career goal. This nice arena is located Downtown Bakersfield and amazingly always stays up to date and is always clean. I'm not a big hockey fan, but I've watched a few Condors games here and the games are always fun to watch with the kids. I know they always have their annual Disney on Ice every year in October as well as the Harlem Globetrotters that usually perform in February, they also always have those monster truck events that my boys enjoyed when they were small. The Arena used to be called Centennial Garden, but other than the name changing years ago, it still looks the same. Parking can sometimes be a hassle depending on the event, so be careful parking anywhere downtown as most parking on the street is usually metered (during business hours anyway). read more

Lisa, manager at ticket window, is the most rude and disrespectful person I have had to deal with in my entire life. We had tickets to a 2 day event. Day one of the event, nobody was checking tickets at the door. We walked right in expecting a booth inside. There was nothing. On day 2 they were actually checking tickets at the door. We went to the ticket counter to pick up our wrist bands. When we arrived at the window, Lisa accused us of being dishonest. She accused us of picking up our bands the day prior and giving them away. We've been to 3 performances here at the Rabobank Arena! 1) So you think you can dance in 2012, ground floor - best seats, up close to action 2) Disney on Ice "Dream Big" in 2017, mezzanine in 215, row A - great seats for panorama views of the ice skating performance 3) David Blaine magic show 5/2018, Row N seat 1&2 - perfect view of theater stage! Avoid online convenience fees by purchasing tickets directly at their box office. Sometimes you have to wait in a line though. There is a $2 arena fee posted to each ticket though. Parking is $10 on event day/night, although I've seen people park in the neighborhood or along sidewalk (for free). read more

The game was exciting but a person from our party went to the concessions and we didn't see them for about 50 mins that's unacceptable. Long lines and slow service. Pretty old and mediocre venue. Went for a concert recently. Sound was HORRIBLE. Beyond that the worst thing was the Corona Experience. They got an extra $50 plus fees and it was a complete waste. That was the worst part of our time at the Arena. The Corona Experience was a small room, with a low ceiling, one bartender so usually a line, and some appetizers. I encourage you to save your money and not do the Corona Experience. Having said that if you live in Bakersfield and it's too far to drive to LA or Vegas then sure go enjoy your venue but it's time for a re-fresh in my opinion... and for sure fix that sound system. read more

Brought the family here for CIF State Tournament. Paid 600 bucks for premium seats to see my kid compete in the tournament & my view was blocked 80% of the time. The Ushers were so disrespectful to parents who were just attempting to see their kids wrestle at the State level. Been to 2 Condor hockey games so far and I feel the Center is clean, well staffed and has some, not many, but some options for food if you skipped dinner. Mostly snacks are offered. Popcorn, pretzels, nachos, that kind of thing. Nothing healthy! Everyone is friendly. I wish they had more choice for drinks, liquor but you can go to the bar and bring the drinks to your seat. You will pay a pretty penny though. A double in a small cup = $14.50. I also wish more people came to the games, they are a really fun way to spend an evening. Took my grandkids to NXT "No Mercy". First off I just want to say I have been coming here for years, and Saturday night was the worse night ever! They didn't open the doors until an hour before the show. So you're waiting in this long line because they have no one guiding people on where to go, and they only have 3 lines to get through the side entrance. So after you get in you now go find your seats and decide what everyone wants to eat. The main grill no longer serves everything. Just hamburgers, fries, pretzels, and chicken fingers. So not only do you have to wait in line for 30 minutes, but If you want pizza, nachos, or popcorn you have to go wait in different lines for each of those for 30 minutes! So ya you miss half the flipping fights (show)! I just want to say too, the food here sucks! Now all though I have been coming here for years, I haven't been here since before Covid. So a lot has change. But I just want it to be known, and hopefully the CEO or someone takes notice. But this is the worst arena ever! read more

First time attending Disney on Ice at Rabobank and boy were we disappointed. I booked our tickets online and even chose where I wanted us to sit ( there was 11 of us ). The location was actually nice, it's just the two rows on the ground blocked our view. I don't know why they put them so close to the stage! If those people sat closer to us, our view would've been fine. I feel like we payed more for our seats to get a better view when we could've sat in the back upper rows for way less and could've gotten an excellent view. read more

Nice venue in Bakersfield. Actually, Rabobank Arena is probably the best venue in town. Been here for concerts, shows, and sporting events. Have no complaints. Parking has never been an issue. Seating is comfy, and there is not a bad seat in the house (from my experiences). Staff is fine. Concession stands are pricey, but that is to be expected. Will continue to go to Rabobank Arena. Rabobank Arena is home to the Bakersfield Condors! While this arena is fairly simple, there are some definite pros to visiting! According to my last visit, it seats a little less than 9000 people. They said that recent expansions to box seating areas has removed some seating and standing room areas. The best time to come is to visit the game for the annual teddy bear toss! It's so much fun! Other pros: -Food is cheap! Most arenas charge an arm and a leg but the food here is relatively well priced for an event space. -It's clean. The seats are nice. -Recently, we got to sit in one of the boxes and it was really nice. They have a bathroom inside and they're spacious. I was in town so I decided to catch a hockey game. The parking and ticket price was great. Can't beat that, right?? I was in for a good evening for sure, so I thought. I went into the arena and got a beer then decided to get a grilled burger at Grill Works. What a joke this place is and it is filled with air head bumbling fools that could not find their way out of BAKERSFIELD if their life depended on it. I ordered a burger and waited. I watched as a lot of other people get their food. Finally a guy got a burger and he has ordered well after me. WTF??? I finally had to ask my server where my food was and she just said they must have forgotten it. Are you serious??? What a backward hick this server was. She must have had an IQ of about -10. With an IQ like that, I don't know how she was even breathing. I eventually had to ask her for my money back. When the lackluster so called manager came over to issue the refund it took her forever to open the register. Kind of shows what a brainless twit she was. This manager had to get another manager from somewhere to try to help her open the register. When the two of them finally got the register open and took forever, they had to try to count for the refund. They seemed to not have enough fingers to finish the count. This manager woman must have been from the short yellow bus. She was a total in-bread. Between the two, they finally figured out they had to refund me $9.50 exactly what I paid from the start of this experiment. This was really had for them to figure. Not sure why. Does Bakersfield not have a standard math class or were these two women a product of common core math???? It was too much to watch for sure.... When I finally got my refund I did not even get an "I'm sorry for the delay and we forgot your order." What a bunch of losers. This place sucks and made my night a lot less fun. A big Thank you losers at Grill Works. The management should fire anyone that cannot issue an apology for the very very poor service and lack of properly insuring customer service. If the manger wants to contact me I'm here. I would love to hear from a manager that can issue an apology for the crappy customer service and micro aggressive people that work here.
