However, when I tried to use it, the "loud" manager/owner said they do not accept this. I tried explaining that it is listed on that website but she said no. Very odd. This place is advertised for Chinese and Thai food, but we liked its Thai better than its Chinese. Seemed to have more Thai selections though. Thai: Pad see ew with beef, papaya salad - both were decent tasting (not the best, not the worst) with generous portions. Chinese: schezuan tofu - I liked it enough but my man didn't care too much for it. The sauce had this syrupy texture to it and was more on the sweeter than spicy side. Generous portion again. Prices are pretty cheap considering how much they give you. The venue is simple, nothing fancy. This owner/manager that some of the yelpers have reviewed def. is loud and not the most personable. She is not the the type to ask you how your food is or how your day is going. When I asked her if she recommends chicken or beef with the pad see ew, her response was: "they both good, get whatever you like". Some might think this is rude but I found it funny because I guess it does depend on what I like. But later she started calling me honey and being "nice" in her own odd way. Wish it came as endless refills but thats unlikely cuz some people would abuse the bountiful refills and put them outta business which would be sad. They have this crispy sorta like honey glaze covered fried chicken leg here. I love good fried chicken, like crispy, seasoned right, not what you'd buy at KFC or your supermarket or wingstop-aka-drench-my-wing-thats-75%skin15%bone10%meat. But this is like a not too sweet HONEY glaze. And when it comes out its like a hardened glaze like a sugar glazed fruit or something. So not only is the chicken slightly spicy AND sweet, but its also CRUNCHY on the outside from the glaze. So now you have a sweet and spicy and crunchy piece of food getting mashed in ur mouth and you get to listen happily to the crunch crunch crunch followed by the singing of your taste buds sweet sweet eep-spicy sweet sweeicy! The restaurant is small...resembles a cross of a thai/chinese family's ownership of a tiny mom/pop food store where there is no such thing as wiping down the walls and ground and it looks like an old giant bathroom turned into a place to eat with soft yellowish tiles (maybe from the lighting) and fake potted plants strewn randomly around cheap tables with cheap tableclothes. The food in this restaurant is very very good, and the service is ok, but there is one older lady with glasses that is very very rude, I have gone there several times to pick up food and when I asked for chili sauce she gave me the dirtiest look, I even asked her why she was upset. I came here yesterday with a friend. It was my second time there. I got the Pad Thai the first time I came, and that came out pretty good. Yesterday, I got the Spicy Noodles, and that was definitely good. Flavorful, but not as spicy as I was expecting. Since it's a Thai place, I figured it'd be more spicier. But it was pretty mild. Service was ok, a bit slow to take our order, but we didn't seem to notice because we were too busy talking. The place isn't too noisy, so you're able to have a decent conversation with the company you're with, which is definitely a good thing. Parking was ok for a Saturday afternoon. A bit packed, but not too hard to find. There's construction going on in that plaza right now, so the parking lot's a bit more cramped. All in all, I will only come back here if someone suggests it. The food is definitely good, flavorful, but it makes me fall asleep, so it's not for me. I'd recommend it if you want some Thai food in South County. I ordered from Diho Siam for pick-up over the phone. The staff was friendly over the phone and in person and the service was quick. It only took about 20 minutes for my order to be ready for pick up. I didn't order too much but the pad Thai was great and had a good proportion of meat to noodles. I would definitely come here again to try more of what they have to offer. read more

This is my go to place for Thai in the area whether it be dine in or take out. Service is always on point. Place is kept clean and well managed. Selection is the same as their other location by Triangle Square. The portion sizes are generous, even when its off their lunch menu, which is easily shareable between two people. There's been occasions where I've visited and the food isn't as good as the last time (maybe it's the change in cooks?). Only con, they never seem to have sticky rice whenever I visit. read more

This place has a menu for Thai and one for Chinese food, the lady that owns this place is also called the "Soup Nazi" because she will not make any changes to her dishes, she servers everything as prepared. Quantities are quite large here you could probably share a dish and an appetizer, unfortunately the quality is average, I have tried the crispy duck here once and it was dry and non-appetizing, this last time I had the Mongolian beef that is extremely salty it came with an eggroll that was good and some kind of fried rice. Some of my co-workers love the spicy noodle, which is a Thai dish. If you want a quick lunch with plenty of average food this place is good. read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Orange County! I have been coming here for awhile and I have never had a disappointing experience. The service is always wonderful, never too crowded, and always amazing food. My favorite is the Pad See Ew, Tom Kha soup, and the Green Bean Curry. This is really more Thai than chinese- very authentic. I've been going here for a few years and always have the same fresh food and friendly service. The curries are my favorite- most often the panang and massamum. I also love the scallops and avocado dish- a little more on the california style. Diho Siam is very low key- it's pretty basic decor and the owner is always on hand to take orders. I remember the first time I walked in; I was a bit dubious that it would actually have good Thai food because the place kind of looks like a cheap family style chinese restaurant. But once you get past that, you'll enjoy the food! It's situated next to Inka Grill and a vietnamese resturant, and near Peppino's; so it's easy to find and try something new. read more

Husband wanted me to pick up some Chinese food on the way home so I quickly yelped the closest decent location nearby... Diho Siam it was. Inside the strip mall next to Buffalo Wild Wings the place looks old and run down on the outside but I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and clean it was on the inside. Ordered chow fun and mongolian beef from the Chinese menu and panang curry from the Thai menu. Both the items from the Chinese menu had big pieces of beef and the quantity was good. The flavor was okay though...nothing memorable. The panang had better flavor but there were too many bamboo shoots and not enough bell peppers or other veggies. Based on my limited food selection, I'm thinking their Thai food is a little better than their Chinese food. Being one of two tables in the restaurant, we waited 30 minutes for a fried rice- the rice was soggy, and the meat was chewy. The staff was nice enough, but there was 4 people in the kitchen and three people in front sitting around, so watching how many people were available while waiting so long was irritating. The other table was a middle aged couple who were extremely loud with their racist remarks- but that's unrelated to the business, just added to an irritating experience. Over all a disappointed and would have rather gone to the thai place up the street with a 10-15 min turn around time and great fresh quality food. I didn't know there was red curry. But apparently it does exist, because I had it here at Diho and it was pretty yummy. I actually think it is the yellow curry with different veggies in it. That exactly what it tastes and looks like to me. Also had the green curry. Pretty light on flavor. Wish it had more veggies in it. Service was super slow. There were two other groups there when I arrived. One already had food and the other was not ready to order. We ordered and waited about 15 minutes for our food. I don't see any excuse for this wait. Really. There are other Diho locations. The one on Crown Valley is probably my favorite since it is nice and clean, probably much newer, and the service is faster. This one is in a horrible shopping mall that used to house Captain Cream. Parking lot is a disaster with tiny and limited spaces, cracks and bumps all over dingy looking. If I'm already around, I'd come back, otherwise I'd visit either of the two other locations. read more

definitely loved the service at this location!! Came in with a group of friends one night and the lady behind the cash register was so friendly!! You could tell that she has regulars because she had a lot of inside jokes with many of the customers. She was really great about splitting our bill and went out of her way to make sure that we were all comfortable and happy while we dined there with her. PRO TIP: they have an amazing lunch menu. Basically, it's most of their normal dinner menu stuff for a lot cheaper!! I'm definitely gonna try to come back for lunch one day. Beef Pad SeeEw: --I love it when my dish is on the sweet side, and this was no exception. All the food tasted really good actually (tried my friend's Pad Thai and Ra Na??) Alright.... I've been seeing some annoying comments about the employees but everytime I've ever gone here the staff has been nothing but polite and kind. I have been coming to Diho Siam since I was 14 and I'm now 25. I got to all of their locations depending on which one I'm nearest too. And all of them are great! I moved to Santa Ana in the last year and lemme tell you, THERE IS NOTHING LIKE DIHO SIAM THERE. If I'm having a really bad day and I need some comfort food, I will and have driven to Diho Siam just for their Pad Thai and I usually feel better because it's so damn good and reminds me of my childhood. I rarely eat at the restaurant anymore because I'm usually on the go, so when I do have Diho's I phone in an order or order online and they're always quick. It's literally the best place ever. I always recommend it to friends and family in the area. In fact I just finished eating my Pad Thai from there. Do yourself a favor and give them your support. I used to get the pad Thai, but about a year ago they started making it greasy. Very disappointing. I've order it 2 more times, but it's greasy each time, so I give up. The lady that takes the orders can be rude or okay, but the last time we went in, she was rude and mumbled something when she walked away. I'd rather go support people who appreciate their customers. Our go-to Thai place! I'm surprised this isn't rated higher tbh. Their Tom Kha soup is a parade of flavors! It single-handedly earns all five of these stars. Their Pineapple Fried rice also has great flavor and texture. Round up your order with Beef Satay with peanut sauce, and you've got yourself the perfect take home dinner. Whenever I'm extra hungry, I throw in the Angel Wings as well; that plum sauce is deelish! We've also tried the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew at some point before, but wasn't particularly impressed. read more

After a day's worth of debating and only knowing that I wanted some Thai curry, we found a coupon in the Entertainment Book and decided to try this place out with help of fellow Yelpers. Like most have stated, you walk in and you can't miss the small, loud Thai lady (owner?). Service was nice for most of the night. Anyways, my sister and I ordered: -Thai Iced Tea ($2.95) -Cream Cheese Wontons ($5.95) -Chicken Pineapple Curry ($8.95) -Pad Thai ($8.95) The pineapple curry is delicious and not spicy (although it has a spicy pepper next to it on the menu; so if you like it hot, I suggest asking for more of a kick). The pad thai was also good, but not spicy either. It was extremely filling and we walked out with To-go boxes for the curry & pad thai. The only reason I marked it low was because of the pricing, it'd be (~$29 w/o my coupon) and I'm a poor college student. Next time I go, I'll go during lunch and I'm sure it'll go up more stars. Diho Siam has turned into one of my favorite Thai spots to eat at during my lunch break. I always go here with my coworker whose family owns several Thai restaurants in Southern California, so for her to go there and like it says quite a bit. The shopping center is in need of a major remodel and the interior of Diho Siam is outdated. There is a strip club across the way and the parking lot sometimes stinks like bad sewage but don't let that scare you away because the food is really good! I always order the tofu pad thai because it's my favorite Thai dish. I am the kind of person who will always order the same thing over and over again. The pad thai here always hits the spot. You get a pretty big portion too. I always have leftovers to eat the next day for lunch. I also always order their cream cheese wontons. They are seriously amazing! I could go there just to eat those alone. This restaurant also serves Chinese food as well. The service has always been great. The owner/manager might be a little loud and come off as rude but I don't believe she means any harm. My coworker and I went to the Diho Siam in Ladera Ranch once and found the service and food to be much better at this Lake Forest location. We will continue to come back here to get our Thai food on. :) read more
