    Panang Curry with Beef

Another great Thai restaurant in lake forest. Makes it tough to chose one now when there are many good ones to pick from. Definitely gives a small business or a hole in the wall feel but that's always better in my opinion. To start I had their Roti Yellow Curry appetizer which was delicious as I didn't know it was pumpkin curry which is one of my absolute favorites. Their rotis were made perfectly in a slightly crisp and moist way. For entrees I had to try their Pad See Ew since I always have to have one noodle dish to try. Along with it I had also ordered their Panang Curry with Beef. Here the portions are decent as well, and so was the flavor for both the entrees. The Panang curry had nice savory and sweet notes and it's just what you wouldn't want in your curry. To end the full experience, you have to get their Mango Sticky Rice as well so always save room for it. It was just good, not the best I've had but just good. The food was way better so that's still a plus in my experience.

That All Day is your typical neighborhood Thai restaurant. Spice levels reflect the neighborhood and are definitely not Thai spicy. My husband ordered his curry medium and it was more towards mild, with the slightest hint of heat. They have lunch specials Mon-Fri from 11am-2pm, with most of the items priced at $15.95. Lunch includes soup, rice and salad - unless you order a rice or noodle dish and then it's just soup. The soup was a chicken broth with rice noodles. I ordered pad see ew with tofu. The tofu was nicely fried and the noodles were decent. My husband was a little disappointed that his curry didn't have as much heat as he likes. Service is friendly and the restaurant is clean. It was a bit hard to spot in the mall, but it's right next door to Alien Diner. Plenty of parking in the lot.

Thai All Day recently opened in January with new ownership. We picked up takeout today and staff are really friendly. I ordered Thai chicken, Banana curry chicken and pad seew chicken. Each dish was delicious, my favorite ine is the panang curry. You can taste the coconut & it's creaminess and the spicy level was just perfect. Definitely happy to know it's nearby and will be our go-to place when we crave for Thai food.

Wanted to support a new local restaurant so came here for date night to give it a try. Place replaced the old 'Spice Thai' restaurant which I was familiar with and has been around a long time. Started off with an off-putting smell after entering. Maybe some weird authentic sauce I thought but it wasnt pleasant. I should have left but stayed. Ordered a few dishes. Prices were definitely on the higher end from most standard Thai restaurants but if the quality is good I dont mind. Dishes started off strong and then became worse. Here's the rundown: * Rotti with Curry app - 5/5. This was very good. Curry was flavorful and not spicy. Roti moist and cooked well. * Pad See Ew with Shrimp - 3.5/5. The Pad See Ew noodles were fresh soft and cooked perfectly. The sauce was on point. The Shrimp were large. Honestly it would have been 5/5 if not for the single raw undercooked shrimp. The rest of shrimp borderline raw. Bummer. * Thai Iced Tea - 3/5. Flavor profile imbalanced. Not creamy enough. Bitter thai tea aftertaste. * Crab Fried Rice - 2/5. The crab didnt taste fresh was very ocean salty and dry. The egg on top was undercooked as well. * Crying Tiger - 1/5. This made me want to cry. Choices on menu were Medium or Medium Rare. I asked for Medium Rare. It came back charred Well Done. Since the dish costs $30 and meat wasnt that soft after a few bites I asked to have it re-made. Dish came back smaller portion than was sent back with half the meat still Well Done and the other half Rare. No joke. So I tried but at this point I just wanted refund or dish comped. I showed the uneven meat to our server. The server was nice enough but only offered 50% off this dish. Another lady came out and was defensive and claimed I ate 70% so I should get 30% off the dish. Not true btw. Really petty stuff. At this point I just wanted to get our check and leave. They gave 50% off crying tiger dish. Server apologized multiple times. Sadly I wont be coming back after this experience. Advice to management: 1. Get a better cook who knows how to properly cook proteins. 2. If you mess up a dish either fix it correctly or comp it 100%. Anything less to Americans is an insult. Especially with the prices you charging. 1 Star

Chicken Pad Thai. 1st visit to go. Full of flavor. Fresh tasting ingredients. Well made. Good portion size. Will be back.

Checked this place out for the first time and absolutely loved it. I ordered "Crying Tiger" and it was phenomenal. The steak was marinated and cooked perfectly to my liking. Definitely lots of meat for the dish! Great ratio to rice. The waiters were so sweet and checked in on me periodically. Love the interior as well! This place is a new favorite of mine!

Pad Thai (No meat, spice level 3)

Hands down the best Thai food in Orange County! This isn't just a restaurant, this is a home cooked meal that leaves you feeling more than just full. I've been a returning customer and this place deserves all the recognition it can get! *Pad Thai is beyond amazing but that's just because it's my favorite and go to every time hahaha

Show up right at evening opening to even have a chance at getting a table without waiting 1-2 hours. Struggle to find parking. Order food and it kind of takes forever. While waiting for our food, we almost always start to wonder if it's all worth it. And then every time, once the food arrives, that conversation gets dropped. We always order the Manaao Pork Jowl and Khao Soi with braised beef. We also typically order a noodle dish as well. As always, their Khao Soi is fantastic. The flavor is deep and the curry is rich. The beef is always cooked until it falls apart between your chopsticks. The one we were a bit unsure about was why they started to serve the pork jowl with no sauce on the side. We feel like when we first started ordering the dish, the sauce was lightly drizzled on top and served on the side in a small ramekin. Now, all of the sauce comes on top of the pork which seems to have made the dish a bit colder and less crispy. Still, the flavor is dialed, perfectly sweet and tangy. Their noodles are also always fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned. This visit we decided to try a new curry, and went with the Chu Chee Curry with Fried Catfish. This dish blew us away. We were immediately surprised by the generous portion of catfish, which seemed to be a full fried filet. At first, I felt like the batter may have been too thick for my liking. It seemed to be so thick and fried that it would taste crunchy rather than crispy if that makes sense. However, once coated in the curry sauce and enjoyed with the rice, the textures work together perfectly to maintain the crisp of the fry on the fish, which was cooked just right. The curry was light, which meant it didn't overpower the subtle flavor of the fish. We also ordered dessert for the first time off of the recommendation of a friend to try the rice balls in coconut milk with coconut ice cream. The flavor was amazing, and the texture of the rice balls (think mochi but more soft and tender rather than chewy) was very pleasant alongside the crunchy bits of fried mung bean. Our only gripe was that even by the time the dish reached our table, the ice cream was mostly melted. If anything, I feel like serving them separately would help maintain the temperatures, and enjoying them together in that way could create a more satisfying contrast. As always, Manaao is our favorite Thai spot in Orange County. I definitely recommend.

I do have a good tolerance for heat. However, extra spicy may be overkill. The papaya salad was also delicious. It comes w two large shrimp. The papaya was crisp, even the next day and the day after. I was more interested in the papaya salad itself than the shrimp, but you can also opt for the salted crab as an option. Pad Thai was ok, but I'm not fickle when it comes to this dish. But if you are particular/ picky about your Pad Thai this might not be for you. It was a bit sweeter and heavier on the sauce. The noodles were also a bit too soft. That's probably because it was a togo order so it continued steaming in the container, so I don't fault the restaurant for that. The dishes I would pass on would be the green beans in garlic sauce. They were older, tougher green beans. But it came w mushrooms that were good. Maybe it's just this shipment of green beans that weren't young and crisp. But, I would skip it all together and try something else next time. This restaurant is family owned and they work hard. It's good to support family businesses. Definitely give them a try.
