Pad Thai tasted like soy sauce and was overdone to the point where the noodles would not disperse from each other so it came out of the box as one clump. For Thai or Chinese cuisine, this place is as good as it gets! My wife and I eat there almost every Friday night and try different dishes and have yet to find a bad one. First time trying this place as Uoko Japanese next door was too crowded. Was pleasantly surprised as all the dishes were very good! We tried their pad see ew with beef, raad nar with tofu, and yellow curry. All these dishes were very tasty and satisfying. Pro tip: if you try the raad nar, sprinkle a bunch of cut green chilis for heat. It's soooo good! The beef was tender and the curry was a tad sweet, but still yummy. The food is really good and we have been going back for the food but the service by this one lady named "Dang" is absolutely improper. She has been rude for the past many years. We thought that she had attitude problem. However, she was being nice to the other table in front of our eyes, looks like she is a racist. I don't know how come she still has a job there. Owner, please get rid of her or straighten her up so she is not rude to many customers. I don't want to go there if Dang is still there with an attitude problem. We have been going to the other locations in Mission Viejo and Ladera Ranch for many years, the staff at other locations are super nice and friendly. At this location, other ladies are very gentle. We need better customer service from Dang, we are paying for the service and food. Nobody should be treated like the way Dang treats other People. Her rudeness and mannerisms toward you make you not want to even come to the restaurant or order food from there and ruins the whole experience of dining out with your loved ones. Example: yelling on the phone or in person when taking our orders, hanging up on the phone, staring us down in person, and when asked to repeat order for my dietary allergens, she will not be accommodating and will say "WHAT KIND OF FOOD DO YOU EVEN WANT?". This place has always been very good. Been here on many occasions with family, or for their lunch specials. I came in here around 3:50pm and I was still offered lunch by the kind staff but unfortunately the pineapple curry with chicken isn't a part of lunch. That's fine because I did want a bigger portion either way. I was amazed at how nice everyone was that we're working here. It was just my table at this time and every staff member (including manager and owners I'm guessing) came by to either fill my water or check on me. The food came out and I was excited to try it. The balance of the sweetness and spice was just right! Every Thai place has their own signature touch to the pineapple curry, and this place does it very well. Definitely has me craving! 1st visit, ordered the Pad Kee Mao, which was too sweet for my liking. In addition, every ingredient in this stir fry dish was coated in oil. It would probably be best to pair this grease bomb with a beer. The biggest disappointment was that I had paid extra for ordering a-la-carte, but actually received a lunch portion, accompanied with a side salad dressed in ranch mayonnaise. Yuck. 2nd visit, ordered the Prik Khing Moo, which was a complete disaster. I am not sure about what type of chili paste the chef used, but it was not the right way to cook this dish. What I received was watery, like the pork and string beans were cooked with vinegar, sugar, and some fish sauce. The flavors were not what I was expecting. To makes things worse, the string beans were rubbery rather than crunchy. It's a very basic Thai-Chinese one plate stir fry that the chef failed to execute. The only bright side to Diho Siam was the steamed rice included in every order. That is not a perk you would find in traditional Thai restaurants. Thank you for that. Don't come here with high expectations for Thai food. You'll get old school Thai and Chinese dishes here served with fortune cookies that's not even half decent. read more

I have been coming to this Thai restaurant for years and they are still one of the best Thai restaurants in Orange County. The food has always been consistent good with their recipes and the quality of food. They never seem to disappoint even after all of these years. There are some dishes that are really good that I always get. Their pad see ew, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Thai fried rice, Tom yum soup and New Year's chicken are all some of my favorites. The hubs took me here for lunch during the week. I ordered the spicy drunken noodles and pot stickers. It came with hot and sour soup. I did not know they were going pile my noodles with cilantro. I've had their pad-see-ew and pad thai before, so today I decided to try something new. I went for the Yellow Curry and wow now there's three items I have to pick from next time. The curry was very flavorful. My only negative comment is that there was significantly more onion slices than potatoes and carrots. I would've liked to see the amount of vegetables more balanced - in my bowl I only had two carrots and four potatoes in comparison to maybe 15+ slices of onion. I highly recommend trying any of these dishes I've mentioned; I haven't been disappointed yet! The short lady is NOT the owner. As Julie K. has warned you all, this lady has a very loud, booming and aggressive voice. She just sounds that way! She speaks to everyone in the same tone and same decibel. The owners are the nicest couple. I'm afraid I may be a little biased in reviewing their restaurant because they are the most wonderful owners I have ever encountered. Service-minded staff and management team can ensure any customer's loyalty! My favorites at this Diho Siam include Yum Woon Sen and Tom Yum Goong. I request the cook to make my dishes Thai-Thai spicy, not American spicy. The owners actually brought out fish sauce and chili for me and my family to put in our dishes too. They have really spruced up this shopping center...like a LOT. It looks really nice and modern now so kudos to all the stores. Let's bring our focus back to this restaurant. Been coming here for a while if we're in the area or when I use to live around here. Their menu has a Chinese side and a Thai side. They have a good range of items to select from. We usually end up ordering from both sides because that's the whole fun of this place. Some favorite items are the crying tiger, soups, most of the noodles, and it is a cliché but the orange chicken is really good here. It is a bit on the sweeter side but it is super crispy and fresh! It is one of the better ones I've had anywhere. Last time we went with my parents and brother for my dads bday. My mom who is very picky actually enjoyed the food, especially the Mapo Tofu (mabo tofu). Service here is on and off. They are family owned so sometimes it's only two people working. So far we've received decent service. There are enough seats for multiple families and is a good option for family dinners or casual dining. read more
