The fuchka was very good and flavorful; they even give you two sauces (not just one). They put a lot of green chilli in them; it's perfect for those who love spicy food! The jhaal muri was a bit different than what I'm used to but still very good. They ran out of morog pulao so I want to go back and try it. The ambiance is amazing, especially on a summer night. Perfect spot to catch up with friends. The service was great also, they had that amazing Bengali hospitality and asked us if we needed anything in the middle of our meal. Definitely going back to try more items on the menu!

Golpo Sholpo is the perfect Bangladeshi street food spot. The food here is authentic and tastes like home cooked goodness! The fuchka is top notch! Crispy, crunchy, spicy, savory, and sweet. The tamarind sauce is perfect and the mint sauce is nice and spicy. Normally I don't have doi fuchka, but they did it really well! Creamy and sweet in a single bite! The aloo chop (potato cutlet) was really good, perfectly seasoned and crunchy. They served it with a tamarind chutney, but I liked it on its own. The Kala bhuna with kichori on a drizzly cloudy day, was perfect! Well balanced and perfectly spicy, it was my favorite dish. The morog polau was really good too! The rice was amazing and delicious for both the pulao and the kichori. We also tried the aam bhorta which was delicious-spicy, tangy, and sweet! The service was wonderful! The lines were long as more people showed up, but they did a great job taking orders and getting the food out quickly. It started to rain a little, and the service team quickly put up a tent to accommodate everyone! It's an outdoor seating area between the shell gas station and a car wash. They decorated it really nicely so it was cozy- perfect to hang out and chat (golpo sholpo)

We were already full! Then our main orders came... biryana, kabobs, and curries... all delicious and all authentically prepared. When we could not have another bite, we were treated with the most wonderful gulab jamun. Most of us had enough leftovers for another meal! I strongly recommend that you visit Aladdin. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reminded me of home-style dining. The staff were polite, friendly, and very attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. I ordered several Bengali dishes, and every item was full of rich flavor and traditional taste. The rice was fresh and perfectly cooked, the curries were well-balanced with spices, and the fish and meat dishes were tender and delicious. The bhorta, dal, and vegetable items tasted just like homemade food, which is hard to find in many restaurants. The aroma and presentation of the food made the experience even better. What I loved most was the authenticity. You can truly feel that the chefs understand Bengali cuisine and prepare each dish with care. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and taste. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and suitable for families, friends, or even solo dining. Whether you are missing Bangladeshi flavors or simply want to explore traditional Bengali food, this place is a great choice. Overall, Aladdin Restaurant is a hidden gem in DC for Bengali food lovers. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back again.

Most of this operation appears to be take-out. We placed a pickup order online and it was waiting for us by the time we showed up. We ordered two small chicken bowls and one "feast mode". The "feast mode" size was actually challenging for three people to finish! The "hive sauce" tastes like a honey mustard with maybe mayo? It's pretty good. I really wish Flavor Hive would have additional toppings - just cucumber tomato onion cilantro etc are quite minimal. Would be awesome if they could add something like beet salad or beans! The value at this place is excellent compared to the numerous other rice / slop bowl places in the area. It is a lot of food. This place went viral on social media for a reason, and it lives up to the hype.

Only one order (check #88) was provided at pickup. The second order (check #87) was never given to us, despite being paid for. When I called the phone number listed on both the paid receipt and from Google, I did not reach the restaurant. Instead, the call was answered by a male individual phone comes up from Vienna and did not appear to be affiliated with the restaurant staff on-site. This alone is unacceptable. The individual who answered was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Multiple witnesses overheard the conversation, which has been documented. We were not initially seeking a refund -- only verification of the missing order and whether it could still be picked up. There was zero effort to assist, no accountability, and no urgency to resolve the issue. This level of disorganization and lack of customer service is unacceptable for any restaurant. If Flavor Hive continues to operate this way -- including routing customer calls to unprofessional third parties -- it will absolutely damage the business and its reputation.
