Dr Owais is really nice and soft spoken which I really appreciate. Personally I have never had much dental work done there except for bi-yearly cleaning but my sister had a tooth removal and replacement and my husband had a deep cleaning( they also go there for regular cleaning). Every time the experience has been great! The staff the front are nice too. They will warn you if you miss an appointment before going ahead and charging late fees. It's so close to my home I am glad my family and I found them.

I appreciated dr. sholar's team moving fast and squeezing me in when I was on my to a trip. When I said I was willing to take cancellations, they got me in even faster. The next day, I was surprised at how naturl the crown felt, and how little pain I had. I didn't need more than a couple of advil the day of the procedure. Dr. Sholer is cautious and thorough; exactly what you want in a dentist. I was with my previous dentist for over 20 years; but I am extraordinarily grateful I received the quality care that I did from Dr. Sholer.

The "deep cleaning" was completed in a single visit and was very different from deep cleanings I had received elsewhere in the past. There was little local anesthetic injection, which surprised me. When I asked why the procedure was being done differently, I was told that doing it this way was more convenient and would save me an additional trip. However, afterward, I did not notice much improvement. And I found out the out of pocket charge was almost doubled compared to my new dentistry. What concerned me even more happened during my most recent visit. A new dental assistant was taking X-rays. After the cleaning, I wanted to take a picture of the X-rays for my own reference, and I was told that not all of my teeth had been captured in the X-rays. This left me wondering how a complete assessment of my teeth could have been made. Also, Every routine cleaning was almost just done in a hurry. At nearly every visit, the dentist also commented that I had significant buildup and often recommended Invisalign to straighten my teeth. When I asked why Invisalign was necessary, I was told that my buildup was related to my teeth not being straight. I understand that crowded or misaligned teeth can sometimes be more difficult to clean, but I would have appreciated a clearer explanation of why orthodontic treatment was being recommended in my particular case and what other options were available. Overall, these experiences left me uncomfortable with the care I was receiving, and I ultimately decided not to return.

My experience at Smiletheory was much better than I expected. Ti, the hygienist was just excellent, and after seeing Dr. Singh, I left there today with a much better understanding of where I am and the best direction from here. Glad I found this office. Dr. Singh is consistently kind, informative and does great work.
