Dr Sholer rushed through my crown so fast he was knocking some of my teeth with the metal equipment. I had bad pain for weeks and he kept telling me it's normal and will clam down. For me today was a regular trip to the dentist office (where I got mad props for brushing and flossing!!) woot! But for my two year-old son, it was his first time ever seeing a dental chair. Doctor Scholer's office is a friendly kind loving place where our family has gone for dental care for well over 10 years. Today we had the opportunity to bring our two year-old so that he could get acclimated to the experience and I have to say, our two-year-old does not warm up to people very quickly. He was friends with everyone in Doctor Scholer's office from the minute we walked in the door! From our favorite reception peeps to our favorite dental hygienist (she sees our whole family even granny) to Doctor Scholer himself. Our son was saying hi and given high-fives and just enjoying his whole time at the dentist today! AMAZING! I needed an emergency crown due to a cracked tooth; as my regular dentist was too far away for me to do the temporary and the final crown on separate days. A dear friend recommended me to Dr. Sholer because he can do a crown in one day. The fact that he's just a few minutes from my house is a bonus. I appreciated dr. sholar's team moving fast and squeezing me in when I was on my to a trip. When I said I was willing to take cancellations, they got me in even faster. The next day, I was surprised at how naturl the crown felt, and how little pain I had. I didn't need more than a couple of advil the day of the procedure. I've been going to Jeff Sholer for a year. Well, I mean his office, not him personally. My dentist is Dr. Min. As an adult I've been to 4 dentists. I mean, I have been a patient of 4 dentists, not that I've only been 4 times. I go twice a year like everyone with insurance does. And to be honest I'd go more if it was allowed, because I like the dentist. Your teeth feel nice and clean, and that rush from being told you're flossing well... so satisfying. And how many adult activities actually come with a goody bag at the end? Anyway, they always measure gum depth, chart your progress, do annual x-rays, and have a very comfortable waiting room. It actually reminds me of a living room, which is odd because the decor inside the actual exam rooms is more like standard dentist decor. They always have music playing, which is nice. Probably covers up the sounds of less-skilled flossers getting drilled. So far, I only have positive things to say. I get the feeling that Dr. Min, and maybe even the eerily absent Dr. Sholer, care about my oral health and have all the tools and know-how to do so for the long term. read more

I recently visited Dr. Sholer and his amazing team for an emergency appointment after I cracked a front tooth. I found them through my company's benefits portal as an in-network provider and chose their office based on location. I called on a Wednesday, explained my situation, and was impressed when they managed to schedule me for the very next day. From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted warmly and immediately put at ease by the calming atmosphere and friendly staff. After a brief wait, I was taken back for an exam, where the technician kindly took the necessary X-rays for Dr. Sholer to review. Dr. Sholer greeted me with a handshake and carefully examined the damaged tooth. He thoroughly explained my options, and despite my initial fears, his calm and clear communication made me feel much more comfortable. Because my front tooth was severely damaged, Dr. Sholer recommended an extraction. His team quickly arranged an appointment with a dental surgeon in the same building, and within an hour, the tooth was extracted. After the extraction, I returned downstairs, where a amazingly talented technician fitted me with a temporary bridge. Her attention to detail was incredible, and after a few adjustments, you could hardly tell I had just lost a tooth. What could have been a stressful and unfortunate situation was handled so efficiently and compassionately that the entire process took just over two hours. Dr. Sholer and his team showed genuine care throughout my visit, turning a difficult experience into one that was surprisingly smooth and reassuring. I still have a few more visits until my permanent bridge is ready, but I'm actually looking forward to returning. I feel fortunate to have found a dentist who not only provides excellent care but also takes the time to ease fears and ensure that I can smile confidently again. I've been coming to this office since 2012 so just over 10 years now. I would say that's a pretty good track record and provides me with enough experience to write an in depth review. I've always been impressed with the professionalism and care of all the team members here. You can tell that the people here enjoy their job and that is evident in their interactions. If you watch Dr. Sholer's video, what he says rings true. He's always been transparent about educating you on your options for your dental care and Danielle and Sharlene have always been super helpful at handling the insurance side of things. There's also been options to pay in full or create a payment plan which I've always appreciated at different moments in my life. I've had routine cleanings, X-rays, a crown, a broke tooth, and I'm currently doing my Invisalign treatment with this office. When both my husband and I chipped our teeth on separate occasions during the height of the pandemic, this office was so quick at getting us in within 48 hours to help remedy the problem! Not only have we had a great experience as adults, we have since added 3 kiddos to our family and our 4 year old and 2 year old now get their dental care here too! They are so great with the kids! BEST DENTIST EVER!!!!! Doctor Sholer is the best dentist I have ever seen, and in my case, a great Orthodontist, as well. I came to Dr. Sholer 3.5 years ago in hopes of correcting my smile with Invisalign. He attentively listened to what I was looking for, and suggested a few options. We were able to choose the option that worked for both of us, and over the following 15 months him and his office worked with me on correcting my crooked teeth. Anyone who has dealt with Invisalign knows that not everything goes according to plan, and that adjustments often times need to be made. Dr. Sholer has always found the time to schedule last-minute appointments (for buttons readjustment), and tirelessly worked with me and Invisalign to make sure we straighten my teeth to the desired outcome. The office staff (Sharlene and Danielle) are the best at communicating the appointments. The medical staff ( Andrea, in particular) are sooo professional, and very good at their job. Ivan is a great hygienist. I never once had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment - that is almost unheard of in medical world, sadly though... Not only did Dr.Sholer give me a great smile as an Orthodontist, he is also the best dentist, as he would never offer/suggest you a service you do not need. I continue seeing Dr. Sholer once a year for a check-up, and when I get my bi-annual teeth cleaning, he always stops by to look at the X-Rays and see if everything is OK. He is very honest, friendly, and always very attentive. He listens to the concerns, and always provides treatment options. I love the flexibility of the office to always squeeze me in, in case of an emergency. I broke my permanent retainer, right before 4th of July Holiday, and the team was able to schedule my appointment right away, and provide me with a new retainer the next day. This dentist is very unscrupulous and unethical. His office didn't provide my son with a treatment plan and estimate of out-of-pocket expenses. Instead they just told him that he needs 13 fillings and just went ahead and scheduled appointment and happily filled right away without prioritizing and without providing options to delay treatment which is not required immediately. As he is a young adult he didn't realize that he could differ some fillings for a few months and take care of them in the next calendar year to reduce his out-of-pocket expense. They just front loaded all possible treatment. I had to help him pay for the treatment. I tried to explain them, but they refuse to listen and just want $$$. Stay away from the vultures!!! read more

Jeff (and his team) removed tartar from a tooth that was causing swollen gums, examined a fracture in a tooth, and put on a temporary crown (for the fractured tooth). After 2 weeks of proof that my mouth situation had been fixed, Jeff and his team replaced the temporary crown with a permanent one - all the while taking extra care that the temp and perm crowns fit just right. The best dentist ever! I have been going to Dr Sholar since 2016, despite of moving to Dublin, I continued to go to him as he really is the best. Not only would he recommend the best treatment option for your tooth but the way he does it is awesome too. Very professional and thorough. Wouldn't unnecessarily rip you off. Once, my husband suddenly had tooth pain at 8 30 pm, and we had next morning's flight to Hawaii, we thought we would have to cancel our trip because of his pain, but we just took our chances and called Dr Sholar and left a VM, mentioned its an emergency and to my absolute surprise, he called us back at 11 pm, and asked my husband to come in next day at 7 30 am, before all his other patients. He performed an emergency Root canal and we were able to go on our trip. None of the dentists I have seen would be kind enough to accommodate a patient at the end moment. We are so grateful to him. Now, here is a BIG note here: this is my first dentist change in..... 26 years. Yes, 26 years. I had the same dentist until now. I moved dentists because, well, I don't live in Morgan Hill anymore and haven't for years... it is a pain to get down there! It was kind of a big deal to go to a new dentist and have someone new look at my mouth. I've never been afraid of the dentist but I don't like change.... So I am very very happy to have found Dr. Sholer and his staff. I left feeling like I had someone really who cared about my teeth, wasn't trying to make me do more than needed, and my teeth just felt wonderful when I left! I have grown up HATING the dentist... that was until I found Dr. Jeff Sholer and his office of FANTASTIC dental hygienists!!! Honestly, I have never been happier since finding this office! From the hygienists to the admins in the front office, all the way up the ladder to Jeff himself, this place is the best! OMG!!! By far the best dental office I have ever been to... I am terrified of the dentist. I haven't been in years, but know if I want to keep my teeth in my face I needed to go. Dr. Sholer was referred to me by my sister. So I thought I would give them a try. When I called to make my first appointment, I don't remember her name, but when I explained to her my fears, she reassured me that they would do whatever it took to make me comfortable. Got me in within a week. It was just for an exam and X-rays and I was still a nervous wreck. I almost canceled. Glad I didn't. Dr. Sholer and his staff, I feel went out their way to make me feel comfortable. Very empathetic about how I was feel and listen to all my concerns. He made a care plan for me that was very doable. I had my first deep cleaning today and was so nervous, but again I don't remember the young mans name, but he was Awesome!!! I was freaking out, but he took his time, talked me through everything, kept making sure I was cool every step of the way. Dr Sholer is the BEST dentist for redheads. I'm a redhead with the MC1R gene mutation. That means normal dental medication doesn't work on me. Imagine dental work with no numbing! My past interactions with dentists left me filled with pain and traumatized. I avoided the dentist for years. Dr Sholer sat down with me and talked about dental strategies. He worked out a plan to fix my teeth. He gave my body extra time to absorb the drugs and kept checking with me to make sure I felt no pain. My teeth are now fixed and healthy! read more
