Decided to go here because we were craving something sweet. We got the mocha (which we never get) and let me tell you how GOOD it was. We got the milk chocolate, white chocolate and caramel mocha. All three was so good but the caramel was our favorite. Next time I go want to try the dark chocolate. Prices were pretty good and the service was amazing. Haven't been here in forever so when I was at the Kent Station, I decided to check them out! I got a tall mocha and it was yummy! I got the 52% and it was just the perfect chocolate flavor without being too sweet or too thick. The servers were super nice and sweet. Love their cappacinos, probably one of the best I've had...BUT, I don't come here very often and this is now the third time I drive out of my way to get a cappacino and the steam wand is down. They have alternate milk options for coffee and tea but I don't think the mochas can be made vegan. They also have couple of vegan pastries. Got the raspberry scone which was good. The texture was not exactly a scone more of a cake though. Good place to work but might be difficult to find seating during busy times. read more

I love chocolate. So naturally, i love this mocha cafe. While their mocha is good, and you can choose which chocolate, i recommend just getting a good ol' hot chocolate to really appreciate their chocolate.. They get 2 stars, because i purchased 2 jars of chocolate at the end of september... and found out when i got home, a thousand miles away, that the best by/sell by date was in JULY.... JULY! I reached out to their customer service and never got a response. Posted a pic here on yelp and never got a response. Im disappointed bc i definitely expect more from a thriving local shop. Disappointed because my family loves their chocolate, we always stock up when in town, and it is not cheap. When I came inside their was hardly anyone in here. I was ahead of 2 people and they ended up getting their coffees before me. I had ordered a Soy vanilla dirty chai. Keyword Soy. I waited a long time to get both my coffees. When my Soy was up I continued to wait for my fresh brewed coffee. The employee looked at me and asked why I was still waiting and I told her I had ordered a fresh brewed coffee as well. The fresh brewed coffee tasted more like watered down coffee and had a terrible after taste and the Soy vanilla dirty chai I had ordered, was not soy it was regular milk and also it tasted burnt. I've actually been to this location, and airport location a few times. I used to love coming here for the ephemere chocolate. I normally go to this location to strangers I'm buying stuff from since it's a public place, and I could get a drink. This particular time I was disappointed in the chocolate croissant. I thought the Starbucks one I had prior was stale, this was worse!! Didn't taste fresh at all‍. And my ephemere drink didn't taste as good as I remember. That's too bad because I like supporting the small businesses in our community. Now that the only Starbucks nearby shut down for good, MD should get their former patrons. Oh my where do I even begin? I ordered a white chocolate mocha extra hot and a brown sugar chocolate chip cookie. I'm not even sure what I got. The coffee was hands down the WORST cup of coffee I've ever had. I paid a lot of money for something I ended up not even drinking. I don't know what she did. It wasn't sweet at all. It was quite bitter and had a very burned taste to it. Because it's covid I didn't want to remove my mask to take a drink. I was headed back to my car to pick up my son from drivers Ed. I should have gone back. But I didn't want to leave my 15 year old standing alone waiting for me. The cookie...it had a sticker that said Saturday which I assume would mean tomorrow. But it tasted like last Saturday. It was weird. (I've eaten this same cookie from their airport location it's never tasted like this. Ever! Long story short. Drive to Starbucks and skip this place. I've never been to a coffee house that had lavender. My coworker and I were meeting up to discuss some clients and she suggested that we meet here. I didn't mind because I planned on stopping and get an iced cold brew but I ended up not having the time to do so. When I first walked in I loved that it was a small cozy intimate setting. No much separation in the seating and that's what I liked. Nothing was uniform but it all came together. I haven't tried the food and not sure if I ever will (certain food restrictions), but I can tell you that the food looks absolutely amazing and it temps me now every time I visit. I honestly was a bit reluctant to order. I love iced coffees no matter the time of year and I particularly like my coffee strong. Because of this I typically get an iced americano or a cold brew. I decided on an xlrg iced cold brew with lavender and vanilla syrup....this is like the best coffee. Hands down. Better than Starbucks, cutters point, Dutch bros, etc. I have yet to try anything else because this was so good lol I try to limit my visits to twice a week but it's so hard hahahahaha. At the end of the counter where you pick up your drink they have free chocolate covered coffee beans. EAT THEM!!! Lol they're good. I'm surprised the reviews aren't as high! I really enjoyed all the iced coffees I ordered. They have different % of chocolates here. I got three iced coffee's here. The Ephemere ,Viennese mocha, and Mocha Mexican. They were all really good and not overly sweet. I even added two shots to the mocha mexican. You can really taste the chocolate in everything and how rich the flavors are. The drinks are not expensive either. I love that they sell different things you can take home. read more

Hidden in the heart of downtown Kent is this small coffee shop with outdoor sitting by the fireplace. Their coffees are too bad. I am very picky with my coffee and have high expectations. Soooo...while Wes and Emma (our trusty baristas) were working diligently this afternoon, a very HOT DAY, a woman desssed in black whisked in, grabbed the tip jar and dashed out the door. Yes, broad daylight, store full of eye-witnesses...quite surreal, as afterwards, you could hear a pin drop. I've been coming here pretty regularly lately because I'm taking an evening class nearby and caffeine is very necessary. I can only speak to their oat milk latte because I haven't tried anything else, but theirs is one of my favorites - it's served at a good temperature and they don't burn their espresso. Any place with oat milk is an automatic win for me as it's my favorite alternative milk option and it still isn't available at a lot of coffee places. All you taste is chocolate, our iced mochas tasted just like chocolate milk, not what we were looking for. Racist workers!!! Expect terrible service if you're a person of color. Asked for a sandwich to be toasted until crisp and she(person in picture) laughed at myself and another person like we were stupid to be requesting such thing. We also asked for hot chocolate, but were returned with the most bland, annoyed expression stating that the steamer was broken. She scoffed and looked down upon us. Not something you should be doing especially working in customer service!! Though I am not throughly conveying the extent of her racism, I want to make known that her attitude towards us was terrible. The next WHITE costumers were treated like human beings. The worker was kind and understanding of their requests and questions. They even asked the same question about the hot chocolate and started up a meaningful conversation!!! This is a small coffee shop in the middle of Kent Station. I come here every so often when I'm in the area and in need of something hot. I do however like their hot chocolate drinks. I love dark chocolate and this is one of the few places that has an extra dark chocolate drink. It's rated at 72%. The service is ok. You get taken care of and you're given your order. I have never gotten bad service. It's just that the staff do not go out of their way to give you a warm feeling when you walk in. This is the reason for my lower rating. I like mochas but 99% they are made waaayyy too chocolatey, I know that comment baffles and may even offend some people... but too much of a good thing isn't always good. I've gone to this specific Dilettante several times, each time expecting it to be better than the last. I think I've finally accepted they aren't as good as they claim to be. I've had the white mocha, the milk chocolate mocha, and the dark chocolate mocha. I've found that the white mocha isn't all that flavorful, the dark mocha is not too shabby, and the milk chocolate is probably the best out of all three, but nothing to rave about. I've tried their chocolates, and of course those are good... It's chocolate, so, come on. I tried their maple bar yesterday morning and it was good (and cheap)! After work, I met my boyfriend here and he has the snickerdoodle cookie - STALE and hard. So sad. I was expecting it to be soft. :( The service is okay... Most of the time the girls here just seem really catty or like they have an attitude... So. Yeah. This place isn't a place I could ever see myself being a regular at. read more

I really enjoy this café - I've always been treated very well by the baristas, and I think the key to good service is also just being a decent customer. I stop in here every timye I catch a movie at the AMC theater next door. The gals working are always friendly and they make a great mocha. Go with the Ephemere Mocha...it's damn good.
