Frozen berries dumped on my pancake. And it was MY fault?!? SRSLY?
    Marsha S.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! We had eaten here once before and had a good breakfast, so decided to try it again. It took 45 minutes to get our food. There is only one cook. Only got one coffee refill while we W A I T E D. I ordered a pancake with berries. The berries piled on my pancake were still FROZEN! So, it made my pancake COLD AND SOGGY! I told our waitress and she acted afraid to tell the owner. The owner came out and said "Mary did nothing wrong! It's because you ordered mixed berries - they are served on top of the pancake instead of being cooked inside! We have been doing it this way for 30 years! She was belligerent! I was appalled at this response. I wasn't unhappy about the fruit being on top - I was unhappy because it was still frozen. She kept blaming me for not knowing that the fruit came on top. It was the worst customer service experience I have had in FOREVER! Will NEVER go back.

Super friendly neighborhood cafe that has become a go-to for weekday breakfast. The server kept everything rolling and had a great sense of humor, despite dealing with a full restaurant and working on her own. My eggs Benedict was delicious and wasn't expecting that large of a plate, yet I finished every bit.

Saw a Tik Tok and decided to try it. Went early on Saturday morning. The ambiance was like going to my halmeoni's house - vintage wallpaper, the old-style yellow light fixtures, retro booths, pics of who I assume are Mary's kids. The waitress was extremely nice and cheery. We ordered and our food probably took 15-20 minutes. There's a sign that says "We don't serve fast food. We serve fresh food." I can appreciate that. My pancakes were huge. I don't know if it's because I haven't had pancakes for awhile, but my pancake was delicious. It was thin, but moist on the inside and had a crispy bottom. I actually like my pancakes that way - they taste home made. I asked for scrambled eggs - they were cooked well, fluffy. I ordered an extra side of hash browns, and again, I haven't eaten hash browns in a long time, so I really enjoyed the ample portions and they were perfectly cooked - crispy outside, moist inside - and it wasn't greasy at all. It also came with 4 slices of bacon, which was just so much! The chicken fried steak meal was a hearty portion and came with hash browns and toast. My husband said it was ok - but he ate the whole steak! We had to get a box, because there was so much food. I ate a full breakfast of leftovers the next day, and am looking forward to eating the other half of my giant pancake and hash browns tomorrow! The bill was about $55.00. It was a small business, and we will definitely return to support again.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while now and was excited to finally check out a local breakfast spot. Unfortunately, it was a pretty crummy experience from the moment we walked in. Our party of two arrived to find a mostly full restaurant where nearly everyone looked as though they had just been seated. Lots of full tables, not much food. That probably should have been our first clue something was up. From what we could tell, there were two servers working the dining room and one person cooking. While it's not a big place, this led to seriously delays in everyone receiving their orders. I'm not sure if they had a call out because it's hard to imagine a breakfast place having one cook on a Sunday morning. For the food, I ordered the eggs benedict and my wife opted for the waffle combo. After an hour of waiting, our food arrived and it was just so-so. Too much sauce on the benedict, hash browns tasted like they hadn't been seasoned and were a bit dry. I appreciated that the eggs were cooked properly. My wife felt like her bacon was old and the coffee was watery and un-drinkable. It's easy to be flexible with a restaurant having a bad day if they just communicate as such. Unfortunately our server never made any mention of being short staffed or any notification or acknowledgement of the delay in food. I give restaurants a lot of grace, but this was so disappointing and we won't be back.

We've been here years ago. It's only down the street from our house. We do have our favorite places to go but at the hour we went most places weren't open yet. So since we couldn't sleep anymore why not get breakfast, then go back to sleep hahaha. Seemed liked a lot of retired people frequent this place. Service was fine, the food just takes a while to come out. We realized by the time we waited and got our food, the place we really wanted to have breakfast at would've opened already. Most likely because only one person cooking in the back. At least that's what it looks like anyways. Place looks a bit dated. The food was ok. Min was fine. It was the light meal with one pancake, one egg, two sausage. My hubby had chicken fried steak two eggs and had hash browns. He didn't t care for this dish too much

We ordered a bacon avocado Benny and my sister ordered a croissant Benny and we decided to share the Madrid crêpe. Pictures are attached and they look like pieces of art and tasted spectacular. I'm giving four stars due to some of the noise of the blenders and the pounding of something in the kitchen made it very hard to talk at times with my sister. But if there was no super loud noises and I couldn't hear my sister talk from across the table. It would've got five stars all day. Other than that great service great food. I will definitely be coming here again! There are a lot of options for food which can be a little overwhelming. However, it is VERY reasonably priced. $15 for a toast is wild but that's how cafes price things everywhere. However, other cafes smear some avocado on toast and add a tomato and charge you $15, here they give you a whole meal with an egg on top, cucumbers and tomatoes, avocado, and more. It actually feels like it's worth your money. The coffee is good even though it's not too unique. I feel like they used to be a specialty coffee shop before they turned to the crepe/cafe scene. The coffee was very sweet though so I would highly recommend getting it half sweet. The crepe is good, stuffed well and worth the price. It is obviously sweet as well so it's hard to drink a very sweet coffee with a sweet crepe. The barista was kind and helpful with any questions I had when ordering. There was gentleman with a disability ordering before me and the barista was very patient and kind when taking his order. Seems like they have good people working here, which plays a big role in atmosphere.

She was courteous, attentive, and thoughtful. She recommended a few of her favorites when we asked her for suggestions. Charcoal Grilled Pork Chop: coconut-ginger braised collard greens, grilled spring onion, pork jus, wasabi butter (4/5). The Double cut portion was cooked to medium. It was tender, juicy, and the juices had a sweetness to it. The wasabi butter was good and not overpowering. I'd order this again. Superfood Salad: white bean hummus, quinoa, kale, carrots, blueberries, golden berries, cashews, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, avocado, herbs, feta, lemon-sesame vinaigrette (4/5). My wife really enjoyed her salad. I admit it was full of good ingredients but a tad bit heavy-handed on the dressing. Don't get me wrong the vinaigrette was delicious. Banana Bread Pudding (5/5) - Moist, crisp on the edges, and smothered in warm caramel sauce - this decadent bread pudding paired with vanilla ice cream was absolute perfection!
