    Eggs Benedict!

Super friendly neighborhood cafe that has become a go-to for weekday breakfast. The server kept everything rolling and had a great sense of humor, despite dealing with a full restaurant and working on her own. My eggs Benedict was delicious and wasn't expecting that large of a plate, yet I finished every bit.

Saw a Tik Tok and decided to try it. Went early on Saturday morning. The ambiance was like going to my halmeoni's house - vintage wallpaper, the old-style yellow light fixtures, retro booths, pics of who I assume are Mary's kids. The waitress was extremely nice and cheery. We ordered and our food probably took 15-20 minutes. There's a sign that says "We don't serve fast food. We serve fresh food." I can appreciate that. My pancakes were huge. I don't know if it's because I haven't had pancakes for awhile, but my pancake was delicious. It was thin, but moist on the inside and had a crispy bottom. I actually like my pancakes that way - they taste home made. I asked for scrambled eggs - they were cooked well, fluffy. I ordered an extra side of hash browns, and again, I haven't eaten hash browns in a long time, so I really enjoyed the ample portions and they were perfectly cooked - crispy outside, moist inside - and it wasn't greasy at all. It also came with 4 slices of bacon, which was just so much! The chicken fried steak meal was a hearty portion and came with hash browns and toast. My husband said it was ok - but he ate the whole steak! We had to get a box, because there was so much food. I ate a full breakfast of leftovers the next day, and am looking forward to eating the other half of my giant pancake and hash browns tomorrow! The bill was about $55.00. It was a small business, and we will definitely return to support again.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while now and was excited to finally check out a local breakfast spot. Unfortunately, it was a pretty crummy experience from the moment we walked in. Our party of two arrived to find a mostly full restaurant where nearly everyone looked as though they had just been seated. Lots of full tables, not much food. That probably should have been our first clue something was up. From what we could tell, there were two servers working the dining room and one person cooking. While it's not a big place, this led to seriously delays in everyone receiving their orders. I'm not sure if they had a call out because it's hard to imagine a breakfast place having one cook on a Sunday morning. For the food, I ordered the eggs benedict and my wife opted for the waffle combo. After an hour of waiting, our food arrived and it was just so-so. Too much sauce on the benedict, hash browns tasted like they hadn't been seasoned and were a bit dry. I appreciated that the eggs were cooked properly. My wife felt like her bacon was old and the coffee was watery and un-drinkable. It's easy to be flexible with a restaurant having a bad day if they just communicate as such. Unfortunately our server never made any mention of being short staffed or any notification or acknowledgement of the delay in food. I give restaurants a lot of grace, but this was so disappointing and we won't be back.

We've been here years ago. It's only down the street from our house. We do have our favorite places to go but at the hour we went most places weren't open yet. So since we couldn't sleep anymore why not get breakfast, then go back to sleep hahaha. Seemed liked a lot of retired people frequent this place. Service was fine, the food just takes a while to come out. We realized by the time we waited and got our food, the place we really wanted to have breakfast at would've opened already. Most likely because only one person cooking in the back. At least that's what it looks like anyways. Place looks a bit dated. The food was ok. Min was fine. It was the light meal with one pancake, one egg, two sausage. My hubby had chicken fried steak two eggs and had hash browns. He didn't t care for this dish too much

I've been hearing about this place for years (It's a frequent finalist or winner of "Best of Kent" for breakfast) and finally found an excuse to meet a friend here for brunch. We came on a Monday holiday around 11 am, there were a few other tables occupied but there was no wait. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the coffee was hot, strong, and frequently refilled. I had the South of the Border omelet which comes with ground beef, cheddar, black olives, sour cream, and green onions, but because it was Meatless Monday, I opted to forgo the beef. The omelet was delicious and I chose a bowl of fruit instead of hashbrowns (although the hashbrowns look great!). My friend got a BLT and potato salad. The potato salad was made fresh that day and was very tasty. A man at a table near me had pancakes and I was envious, thinking "Next time I getting pancakes!" The prices are a little high ($20 for an omelet, is that the going rate these days?) but the portions were very big and I am happy to support a locally owned business.

It's clear why this place is so popular. The atmosphere was welcoming, the restaurant was very clean, and everything ran smoothly even during a busy rush. This is a family-owned restaurant, and our server/owner, Raman Aurora, truly made the experience special her mom also checked on us. She was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, especially considering how busy the place was. She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and never made us feel rushed or forgotten. The level of hospitality was exceptional. We ordered the salmon omelette with house potatoes, along with pancakes from the kids' menu. The food arrived hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were huge, especially the salmon omelette. The amount of salmon in the omelette was very generous and impressive for such a reasonable price. You can tell they don't cut corners with quality or quantity. The house potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. One highlight was the homemade hot salsa, which was absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. It paired perfectly with the omelette and really elevated the meal. They were also incredibly accommodating, especially since I had our 2 1/2-year-old nephew with me. They kindly gave us the seating I requested, which made our visit much more comfortable. They also gave him some goodies. The menu is excellent, with great variety, and the salmon omelette was highly recommended now I know why. Even though the restaurant was full and they were likely short-staffed, the service was efficient, organized, and friendly throughout our visit. It's rare to find a place that delivers great food, generous portions, fair prices, and outstanding service all at once. We were extremely impressed and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend Maggie on Meeker Breakfast to anyone looking for an amazing breakfast spot in Kent, Washington!

Karla came over right away and helped us with the kindest attitude. When we asked how to add sauces, she said, "They're free, just let me know which ones you want," and brought us two of each to try. It's so refreshing to visit a place that doesn't nickel and dime you. After placing our order, I realized I forgot to get a patty for our dog. Karla came by to check on us, and when I told her, she said she would make sure it came out with our food. It actually came out a few minutes before, which was perfect so our dog could eat first. That level of care really stood out. As for the food, everything was delicious. The loaded fries were savory and rich with a perfectly cooked egg on top. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the truffle fries with greens were a nice balance. The orange juice was honestly one of the best I've had. It was fresh, tangy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The space itself is bright, open, and welcoming. There are games at every table, and it's both dog friendly and family friendly. We'll definitely be back. Karla, thank you for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Absolutely loved their food and ambiance…read more For food, we got the adobo pork belly (comes with macaroni salad, rice, and vegetables on the side) and the pandan fried chicken (comes with rice and veggies on the side). Pandan was super crispy and rice was soft, not mushy. Adobo was rich in garlic and in smoky and sweet flavor. Love they kept the fat on some adobo pieces. Each dish was just enough for us to finish for breakfast. For drinks, we ordered the calamansi juice and calamansi iced tea. Both taste great. Side notes: You order up front, bring your table number, and sit wherever you like. They will bring you your food. Once youre done, please put your food away in the back, which is located on the left hand side of the deli if youre facing the deli at the entryway. It was busy on a Sunday around noon. About an hour if youre just there to have a quick meal, but families were gathering and spending time with no rush which i loved. However, other cafes smear some avocado on toast and add a tomato and charge you $15, here they give you a whole meal with an egg on top, cucumbers and tomatoes, avocado, and more. It actually feels like it's worth your money. The coffee is good even though it's not too unique. I feel like they used to be a specialty coffee shop before they turned to the crepe/cafe scene. The coffee was very sweet though so I would highly recommend getting it half sweet. The crepe is good, stuffed well and worth the price. She cleaned off a table for us, but then told me I needed to hurry up and order because she didn't want other people getting upset about how long it would take me to decide. I didn't respond and simply waited until we were ready to order, which only took about four minutes. What confused and upset me was that shortly after, a white man came in and she told him he could sit down, take his time, and order whenever he was ready because "it's not busy." The difference in treatment was very noticeable and honestly made me uncomfortable as an African-American woman. Maybe this was a misunderstanding, but the interaction did not sit right with me. I believe every customer should be treated with the same patience and respect, especially first-time customers who are simply trying to understand how the restaurant works.
