This little place is a gem! Located in north central Phoenix, it serves up some pretty delicious Mexican food at awesome happy hour prices. They also have a vast menu catering to both the plant based and the meat eating crew. I ordered cauliflower tacos off the vegan menu which were nice and crispy and had a really tasty "crema" sauce and slaw on top. My husband ordered the happy hour carnitas and papa verde tacos which were only $3 per taco! We got some giant margaritas in mason jars which were also on happy hour for $6. Dilla had delivered a 20% coupon to our house which brought our total under $40 for two. We will absolutely be back and recommending to friends and family! read more

This place is amazing!! I had the opportunity to eat here while visiting my daughter and family a few months ago. We had already left one place because it just wasn't very family friendly and we had two babies with us. The food was epic! I still crave it! This is a fun little spot in North Central whose food punches well above it weight. The Napoleon Dynamite (vegan or not) is a unique example of their playful approach to food. With a full carnivore and vegan menu, they can accommodate eaters of all dietary needs and, impressively, the can do this without either side feeling like they have to compromise. Since we normally pick up, I don't have much experience with the bar or the staff, but every interaction I have had has been great. Neat hole in the wall-type place with awesome artwork! I enjoy quesadillas quite a bit and was excited to see a restaurant dedicated to unique quesadillas, had to come give it a try. I immediately knew I wanted to try the papa verde quesadilla. My boyfriend was debating between a few but decided on one that had steak, I can't remember the name! He also got a lengua taco, and a Mexican coke (thanks to yelp!). The guy working at the register/serving us was super nice. Made conversation with us and gave us great service. The chips and salsa were so good! We loved the smokey salsa and asked for more after we finished all of ours haha. The quesadillas were massive! My boyfriend didn't even finish his, brought half home. My only complaint was that the potatoes on the quesadilla were way too salty. Also I wish they were cut a little thicker. I ended up scraping a bunch of potatoes off of my quesadilla because of how salty they were. I got guac on the side though and that was tasty! I've eaten here before and it was wonderful but today we just needed a potty stop. The gentlemen was so kind. I have been here a bunch of times. This last time was worth a review because of how friendly the staff was. I have always had a positive experience there but this time was even better. They also have a whole vegan menu which is why this is one of our go-to spots. My BF and I went in on Memorial Day and got there right when they opened. I tried to order my go-to drink which is the the Dragons Blood Margarita and the waiter let me know that they didn't have all of the ingredients to make it. He then offered to make me a margarita using some Jamaica. It was so delicious! I hope they add that drink to the menu because I would love to order it again. For food, we decided to order the vegan beyond impossible dilla and the vegan hot chick. I'm still undecided on which one was my favorite. The vegan hot chick was as if you turned a Buffalo cauliflower wrap into a quesadilla. It comes with a side of ranch which is such a nice touch. The vegan beyond impossible was packed with tons of flavor. The green chiles are a nice touch. My favorite part of their dillas is their signature crispy cheese that lines the tortilla. Taco & Dilla Parlor to me felt was a little over hyped. The food was a little bit of a disappointment for me. For what it was in my opinion it wasn't really worth it because the amount of food in comparison to competitors for lunch and the flavor fell short. I thought that their Quesadillas (Dilla) took a very interesting take on it though. They serve these in a form of a sandwich almost and in a basket. In the dillas though, they stacked it with potatoes, which to me was an interesting take. But, the thing about it is that it lacked flavor and that to get any kind of taste you sort of needed to dip it in some sort of sauce. I'm not big on dipping quesadillas in sauce it sort of takes away from a good flavorful experience. My coworkers ordered some tacos, however at the price point, I definitely would recommend to skip this and just get a Dilla. The amount that you get isn't worth the price and that you could most definitely find a better alternative around the block or travel a few more miles down the road. All in all, there wasn't anything exciting about this place. As I said, overhyped as one of the best places ever. I feel that my experience in Phoenix, there were a lot of better options for lunch out there, but if you're tied on time this place is a quick take out spot. read more

No one ever said hello when we walked in and we contemplated leaving just because of the icy reception. They had the attitude of a place that was slammed but it was anything but. We had to flag them down just to get another drink. Are you working for tips? Next, let's talk about the cocktails. The margs are good but they have WAY too much ice In them. In addition, they have some cool glassware but they are NOT ALL the same size so one drink has A LOT LESS than.one you may have just had. Not cool in my opinion. Your glassware should AT RHE VERY LEAST, the same ounces as your other glassware. We literally got 3 straw sips out of one of them. What the??? Moral of this story, we won't be back. read more

This is not just the best quesadilla place in the valley, and it's not just one of the best places for unique eats with a ton of personality, it's one of he best restaurants in town period. The food is insane. Bring a fire extinguisher because the Mac Daddy will light your face on fire with how good it is. Everything was good. The elote is the best elote I have had anywhere, ever. Oh and the drinks? Obscene. The mezcal selection is, as far as I can tell, unrivaled in Phoenix. The cocktails are really good, on par with places like Undertow but without being conceited. Oh, and the staff? So damn friendly. Some of the nicest wait staff I've ever encountered. One of the owners was bussing tables, apparently not above any task, and he sat with us and talked mezcal, creating a mezcal flight for us. So go here. This place should absolutely be on everyone's best of Phoenix list. Right now it's an excellent local spot a bit hidden, but get it while you can, it's so damn good it won't be hidden for long. read more
