Literally just walked out of this place and it was bad enough that I had to write a review. We had ONE item and took it to self check out with a woman standing by to help out if needed. The card reader wasn't working and the machine kept yelling at us to remove the card again and again. I look over at the woman who is supposed to help but she's busy doing i don't know what on her device. She even looks up and sees we're having trouble and just looked back down. We ended up going to another self check out register and it worked fine. YEAH THANKS FOR THE HELP OLD LADY! Do your job instead of just standing around. Old woman with glasses and blonde hair. You know who you are but you probably don't care. Stay away from here and go to Lowe's. This wasn't our first bad experience. read more

Came here twice looking for washer and dryer and a grill. The door greeter was funny during one visit but I was disappointed by the quite emotionless older lady working in the washer/dryer section with little personality. I am huge on customer service and she just didn't seem interested in being there and had little Knowledge on the products in her section. The washer we wanted will take 3 weeks to get and the dryer was estimated to be 6 weeks. I bought the washer but got the same dryer I wanted from Best Buyer with only a 2 week delivery time. No military discount offered because it was on sale, however the on sale dryer at Best Buy the sales lady gave us a 10% discount because we were engaging and talk to her. I was at Home Depot and I was searching for a dryer belt and they did not have it but it's a supply store like what come on home depot

I am or was a loyal Home Depot customer for years but after this past weekend situation I am no longer buying anything from there anymore. I went in to return 6 recessed lights but on my receipt I only had 5 but I had purchased the sixth one as a example to show the wife to see if she liked them so after a while she said no so I went to return them. The lady at the return desk basically accused me of stealing one of them and she said "so you want me to pay you for something you did not pay for?" Very unprofessional from her part I was expecting just ok sir I will get you the return for the 5 back to your credit card and the 6th one I will get you store credit. That is the professional way of doing things so for that reason I will stop going to Home Depot from now on and cancel my credit card from them. I hope they train their people better there read more

I definitely wouldn't try to return anything you purchased online to the store. I bought 2 quarts of beyond paint and ended up only needed 1 of them. Went to return it today and the customer service lady (Nikki) tried to tell me the order number on my receipt that came in the box WITH the paint wasn't going to work. She told me they didn't send receipts in the boxes and it was an email. I told her that's the only order number I had. What should have taken a few minutes, in and out, took longer because she wanted to argue with me and act like she didn't want to take the paint back. (New and unopened paint at that) When she finally agreed to use the number on my receipt it amazingly worked! Who would have thought, right? I would suggest sticking to Lowes. Anything I had planned to buy from Home Depot this summer will now be coming from Lowes. Just in case I have to return something, I know I won't run into this problem again. read more

Got 7 cans of spray paint, 5 cans stop working bout half way to 3/4 . They refunded all my money back for all five cans instantly on my card. I bought a $300 screen door there one time. It came with a handle and hardware. The latch broke on the handle. They cost about 50 bucks to replace. I didn't have a receipt so they called the company and they sent me in the mail within two weeks all new hardware shocks mounts and everything. I am very pleased Home Depot takes care of you. read more

Went into look at ceiling fans. Walked around the ceiling fan department for about 15 minutes. Had a employee sitting at a desk and a computer never looked up, never asked us if we need help, and never bothered to see if we find what you wanted! So we left there and went to Loews. Had to call the store twice and still no resolution 2 hours later and no product or refund. And good luck getting your phone call answered by anyone!!!! read more

Trash. The worst F'ing experiance with ordering an appliance. 1.) Scheuled delivery date and automated system sent heads up notification. (good on them) 2.) customer service does not help for anything. They do not have anything tobdo with or ability to contact drivers. I figured that out after calling 2 times and geting hung up on. (no I am not rude Emily just didnt have answers and rather say that she hangs up and forwards call to satisfaction survey... that is how customer service works b/c everything is on a recorded line for quality insurance) 3.) Delivery driver calls twice coincidentally for a 10min out and a 2 min out and never shows up and no one answeres after the fact... great. 4.) Customer service cancels my delivery, come to find out, and rechedules drop off for 8days later rather than the next freaking day as If I was not next in line holy sh*t. Trash. read more

My mom just moved here from California. My husband and I went out to help her get settled in. Most of the time when we said we were from California we were told to go back home and were treated poorly. We went in to Home Depot to get a new oven. I can not remember the ladies name (short blond hair) but she was so nice and was so helpful. My mom had also purchased a refrigerator and there was a mistake with the door with which way it opened and the gentlemen (again I don't know his name) was so nice to help resolve the issue. Not to mention they gave us so many tips on things for us to do while we were there for our short visit. Annette also helped us in flooring and was so patient and helpful. It wasn't easy for us to try to get so many things accomplished with my moms house in a short time but the employees here helped us so much! I ordered a $689 air conditioner online and had it shipped to the Clarksville store for In-Store Pickup to avoid the uncertainty of UPS delivering to our home at a time when we may not be there to accept it. It arrived at the store a day sooner than expected. So I set up a time for my handyman to install it and sent someone to pick up my order the next day. Guess what! - They LOST it! They admitted that it was received, but could not find it. When asked if it could have been placed in store stock by mistake, the customer service person said, "NO, BECAUSE WE DON'T SELL AIR CONDITIONERS ." My pickup person went directly to that section and found several air conditioners, just not mine. They said that they would have to see if the employee in receiving could find it tomorrow and we could come back then. When asked if they could just deliver it to my home, they said it would be at least 4 days later, which means I would have to reschedule my installer. Today we wasted a couple of hours and around $10 in gas. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I was horrified at my most recent shopping experience. The garden center employee; a woman was on her phone the entire time. Every time I asked for assistance she would just wave her hand in a general area. I had to use the app to find everything on my own. Upon completing selecting my items store, I discover the only register available was the one at the other end of the store near the pro desk. So I proceed I have to walk from the garden center to the pro desk. Guess who's at the register. The chatty lady from the Garden center. As I proceed to pay, she fails to bag any of our items, a G.I. Jane lady hovers over us along with an in-store undercover loss prevention agent. No one was there to help us make our purchase but when it was time to take our money you have 3 employees hovered over us like criminals. Serving 15+ years in the military we did not deserve this treatment after spending over $300.00 in your store this weekend alone. Not to mention the $1300 we spent earlier this month. This is a shame. I recommend Boycott Home Depot U.S. Military members in Fort Campbell Ky. They do not honor or respect the U.S military and their less than desirable discount program where you have to give all your information (which I did ) for the discount that excludes items, just isn't worth the hassle. Went in to get some lumber to repair our shed. We knew what we wanted just didn't know where it was. Good thing we aren't above going down every aisle looking for it because the people working the lumber side are about as helpful as a box of rocks. I went up and down every aisle while they talked and held the register down. We came in 1 1/2 hours before closing tonight. If we walked up to the front they would answer our questions but they sure weren't moving to show us where what we were looking for was at. Wish I could say this was our first experience with the lumber dept. like that. Truthfully, if we didn't have gift cards I would have walked out. I spent about 20 minutes longer there than I needed to because we knew what we needed. To top it all off, after 30 minutes we get up there with our stuff to pay and they were shutting down the register. Had to walk with lumber and arms full to the other end to check out. Not ONE employee offered to help us carry all our stuff down there. We're dragging lumber, glue, brackets etc. Then we had to walk to our truck parked outside the doors by the lumber to leave. Even the cashier was unfriendly. I'll use up the rest of the gift cards and request Lowe's in the future. I'm done. Never had this problem at Lowe's. read more

My husband and I are in the process of renovating our house and have spent a lot of time at both Home Depot and Lowes. Normally I would give Home Depot 5 stars because they have everything you could possibly need for a project, in addition to generally knowledgeable staff to help answer any questions. Also, they offer a 10% military discount which is awesome. I love to support businesses that support our servicemen and women. The reason I'm only giving the Clarksville store a 4 star review is because of a recent trip to the flooring department. It was a week night and they had 2 employees staffed at the flooring table. We wanted get a quote to have our stairs carpeted. Both employees were very short and only gave us bits and pieces of information. Neither one offered to help us set up for a quote to have the area measured and get an exact price. They both seemed awkward and anxious to get us to leave so they could continue their own personal conversation. This is not typical of Home Depot, but it did reinforce our decision to use a local carpet installer instead. We did pick up a miter saw on this trip. We found one here that was the same price as a similar model at Lowes, but had better features, such as a laser guide. read more

Visited Home Depot (Clarksville TN) today for some shiplap boards ($520 worth). At checkout I displayed my military retired ID card. The cashier politely told me that I had to have a QR code on my smart phone inside their app or I couldn't get the military discount, First I had heard of it. And this is why I dislike Home Depot. They talk a good game and have pages dedicated to their support of veterans but make it difficult to get the military discount. My ID is proof of my service, and its got my picture on it. How difficult is it to look at it, verify the date and provide the discount. I don't wont their app on my phone and it should be my choice...my military service is not for sale or for Home Depots use to track anything I might buy in their store. If I choose to spend my money at Home Depot it is my choice. Last time I checked, they need the customer way more than the customer needs them. It's my choice to take my business elsewhere. I'm very used to my friendly neighborhood Home Depot so naturally I came here expecting the same. Dead wrong, very rude staff especially this one guy was a real douche. Me and my friend had our hands full of paint cans and we knocked into this drill and it fell, he kept trying to put it back up on the shelf but couldn't do he left it to the side. Seeing this he gave us the dirty look and I asked him if they had a soldering iron. He didn't acknowledge me or look at me he flatly said "NO" and walked away. Thanks douchebag. Super easy to order online. Pick up is a little confusing on what side you are supposed to go to but that could be my bad and just from me never going to home depo before. The lady who helped me at the online pick up inside was very rude. Obviously didn't want to help. Kind of just hung around when I told her I had an order to pick up. Wasn't pleasant at all. Walked me to the other side of the store to get my order and the whole time she kept telling her coworkers how she "doesn't want to get my order" she said this like three times, and "she's too tired" and just kept handing my order off to everyone else while I'm standing next to her waiting to see where the hell my order even is. Might have just been a bad day for her or something but very unwelcoming and unfriendly. The two gentlemen who helped load my car up are very sweet. Both super helpful, respectful, and loaded it all for me. Maybe she just didn't want to load up cement but obviously if I'm going to pick it up then I understand that I'm going to have to pick the cement up too. read more

This place is a joke. What are the employees getting paid to do exactly? My husband, who is a contractor, waited over 30 minutes for an employee to get one item down from an overhead shelf. There is no excuse for that. And no, getting it himself was not an option. If it takes that long to get a product, can you imagine getting hurt doing it yourself and getting any resolution. I was ready to walk out but my husband being more patient said he'd ask again. He did and 10 min, still waiting, I saw an employee and asked and he said he couldn't because he wasnt allowed. I was about to leave when some guy came and said he would do it. He cut our wood and left, didn't apologize for the wait. Employees saw us standing there and didn't bother to ask if we needed help. I'm a HVAC professional and a regular customer. There are other big box stores to choose from. I choose Home Depot because I use the Ryobi and Ridgid lines of tools and Home Depot seems to cater a bit more to professionals rather than to home owners compared to the other stores. Truth is, this store had some problems in the past. They had some management that was for some reason unfriendly toward professionals, particularly men. That has been rectified and I find everyone including Tim, Elke and Gail to be very helpful and willing. read more

Poor Carpet/Underlayment from Home Depot! I strongly recommend never using Home Depot to Replace or Install carpet in your home. Installers arrived and replaced carpet according to contract. Within 90 days the seams in my carpet started separating. You could put your hand through the seams. Contacted Home Depot, they intern notified installers. Installers arrived at home to fix seams. While installers were attempting to repair seam in hallway they placed there iron on my carpet, burning it. Section had to be replaced. They had to order a new piece. Problem was new section arrived and did not match the dye lot of my carpet. No other seams were fixed. Contacted Home Depot, Installation Manager and Home Depot Manager arrive at my home. Both agree complete replacement is required. Second attempt at complete replacement. Home Depot sends damage carpet to my home. Installation cannot be complete. Third attempt at replacement, this time Home Depot does NOT send enough carpet. HORRIBLE!!! read more

The office that I work at decided to purchase our cabinets here as they had a deal going on. Only one lady designs the cabinets and it is time consuming. We had to work around her schedule and she was unresponsive to emails. If we wanted to make a change to our cabinets or ask a question, we either had to call up there and speak directly with her or drive up there ourselves. Needless to say I made and average of 10 trips to Home Depot weekly until we placed our final cabinet order. read more

I would like to thank the man that helped me this morning with ordering my dryer at the Home Depot. It's is unfortunate that I didn't get his name. All I know is that he worked in the plumbing dept. He was filling in at the appliance dept because no one was there. He walked me up to the service dept where I paid. On my invoice it has KAH734 as the salesperson. I don't know if this is the female up front that I paid or the older male employee that helped at the appliance dept. He did all the leg work and was very professional. Worst customer service ever. Went to get some wood there and the fact that they have people there to cut the wood is why there's workers there in the first place. Stan you know who you are please work on customer service. If home depot wanted the machine to be open for customers to used then you wouldnt be assigned to that area or assigned to help the people that help sales in your work place. But your workplace and higher ups are smart enough to have the workers help or assist so that customers dont get injured and the company wont be liable. So please get off your high horse and just help do what your getting paid to do. I am so disappointed in the way one of a staff member acted at Home Depot. I ordered some parts, that I have been waiting for weeks now. I was told it would take 7 to 10 days. And they would call, that never happen. So had my son (36 yrs. old) call. He was told that it would be in on the 5th of Nov. and they would call. Again that didn't happen. So He called them again, on speaker phone. The young man was very nice and had told us one part was there. But the other one was not in yet. So I asked If I could get my money back on the part that hadn't come yet. He assured me I could. I went down a day or so later hoping the other part had come in. It hadn't but it was due that day. So another staff person told me they would call if it came in. That was November 7th. No call hummmm,Ok. Today Nov. !4th my son goes by to pick up the parts. And or get my money back. A older man at the service desk yelled and beat his hand on the counter. They still don't have the part and won't give back my money back. Guess what? I will never ever go there again! I am sure that my son may have been upset at this point. But We do have reason to be upset. The part is lost. That is not my fault. If you cannot get the part I ordered in a timely matter refunded my money. read more
