I have been shopping at Estée Lauder inside the Dillards at downtown Summerlin for years and have always been treated with respect and curtesy. I visited this location a couple of months ago and the manager Yester was unhelpful and short with me. I didn't think too much of it but then she reprimanded one of the male associates in front of the customer he was helping at the time, and in front of everyone else that was around the cashier. He must have been embarrassed because he apologized to his customer even though he did nothing wrong. Then, the associate that was helping me, who by the way was phenomenal, started having issues with the computer system while trying to check me out. She called on her manager Yester to help out and she was rude and demeaning towards her. It was really awkward to witness her treating the associates in a degrading manner. I wanted to say something but decided to keep my mouth shut and not make a bigger scene. Today I went back to this location, and again the associate that was helping me was super helpful. The same manager Yester approached us and she gave the associate that was helping me directions on something, but the way she spoke to her was commanding and not respectful at all. I hope that this manager will be reprimanded for treating the employees as if she is somehow superior to them. The associates have been great every time I shop at Dillards and they should not be treated this way, not in private and much less right in front of the customers. Very unprofessional. read more

Searching the Yelp! app for the closest place to purchase ever popular Vera Bradley (VB) accessories for my sweet boho/hippie Niece, Dillard's popped up. During two trips in November and December, I was able to find pieces from her favorite VB patterns for holiday gifts. Prior to this search, I'd never been to a Dillard's before, the Downtown Summerlin location was bright and cheerfully decked out for the holidays. Admittedly focused on VB only, and not a fan of the line myself (the patterns and colors set off my ADHD, methinks) I didn't really notice if the accessory department had other brands I like but it was well organized, associates were helpful, completed my sales, boxed my gifts, and were quite pleasant. 3.5* rounded up for the relative ease of finding desired items nearby, not fighting crazy crowds, and good customer service. I'd return when back in town to peruse the store outside of Festivus shopping deluge. read more

While this Dillard's location won't replace the Fashion Show as my "go to" spot, I do enjoy the higher end finishes they used in this store, its newness, and their well stocked shelves. It is just too far from Henderson to frequent regularly. And while some departments seemed to have a larger selection than the FS or Galleria stores (like purses, cosmetics, men's shoes); I felt that the women's shoe department was lacking and smaller that the aforementioned locations and so was the home department. All in all I think it's a great addition for those who like Dillard's and live in Summerlin / Summerlin adjacent. read more

Jackie is one of the best, most fabulous makeup artist for any woman of my complexion. $120 later & I'm a happy girl w/ new fall colors. My Jet eyeliner is a must and the only reason I came in. I love the blush Calypso Coral & Sweet Apricot nourishing lip color that I left w/ to complete my peachy fall look. I'm dissatisfied with the Summerlin women's shoe dept. They don't greet you if your dressed casual with tattoos just as the other reviews stated and I'm sad it wasn't just me tripping & wrong. What was worse they spoke to multiple people never greeting me in my face. Also while shopping while the secret shoppers watch me like a hawk. My son who is 19 told me that someone was everywhere he went & it was so bad that he just came to find me immediately to get them away from him in his personal perimeter. I love Dillard's products & I adore the nice woman in the fragrance dept. but they need to work on the profiling and customer service with certain ones. I don't believe in one apple spoils the bunch but because it was multiple i left this review. When you go into a department store looking for a suit jacket and pants for your wedding for under $300. Get told that it will be at least $495. Spoke with the gentleman in the suit section and explained my current funds and he literally found me an entire suit: jacket, pants, shirt, vest, and tie... for only $170! This is actually a review for the Dior Makeup counter and in particular a certain Makeup artist Samantha. I used to go to fashion show years ago and she'd always do my makeup and it was always flawless and perfect. That was several years ago, she was amazing then and now she's even more amazing. In the years since I've first had her do my makeup her technique has evolved and she's still the same cheerful and professional woman that I remembered. Makeup application was a breeze and she's great at multitasking. She's not afraid to try things and experiment and I love that. She's knowledgeable about Dior's brand as well as several others. My makeup looked flawless and she did it quickly and expertly. If you want to look and feel amazing and feel like your getting the red carpet treatment I'd recommend seeing Samantha at the Dior counter for your beauty make over! read more

Let me start by disclosing the fact that I am far from a mall person. I know, I know shocking since I'm from Long Island. Those malls are different: Saks, and Bloomies aka Bloomingdales. I miss them. This location is relatively new, very clean and well staffed (yes, one can spot a sales associate)! I would prefer a more well rounded merchandised store, but it is for the demographic. This is one's stereotypical Dillards. My friend enjoys shopping in the Ralph Lauren men's section. First off the young man pictured is always there and ready and willing in going out of his way for finding you what you need (as well as some additional items)! He's the reason my friend keeps returning! The young lady behind the register is also friendly and will run around finding you the size you need:) I've only sauntered around the Alex & Ani section. I have some friends who collect those and soon enough the holidays will be here! This location has a great selection of Alex & Ani. The lady working in the Alex & Ani section is friendly and know her bracelets! It beats going to that other mall- Alex & Ani has a store inside. read more

Do not ever buy any kind of purse, wallet, bag, whatever from this store. They did not examine the item (which was wrapped up in a brand new bag) before selling it to me (and I should have known better to look it over but assumed it being in a bag it was good to go). I bought a small wallet as a gift for my wife. The clasp on it did not work well so upon returning it the next day the employees working that department assumed it was a used wallet trying to be returned. Shout out to Ruth Anderson from the men's fragrance department. I went in shopping for a new cologne and I was so indecisive on what to get - per usual. Ruth's customer service was excellent, she was very patient with me and took the time to help me find the perfect cologne. All in all I spend about 45 mins inside looking around the counter and kept going in circles, she not once lost her patience with me and didn't stop searching around. On top of that she took the time to chat and get to know the customer which in my opinion is always nice because I feel more comfortable about the item I'm buying and helps build relationship. Went to look for a dress here. The Women's & the Juniors departments are on the 2nd level. It was empty. I couldn't find anyone there. I did hear sales people gossiping. Later, when I was looking around I saw a saleslady. She didn't say a word. And completely snubbed me. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in all of the Dillards locations abd departments I have been to. I would give this 0 star. Never going back here. Another most incredible experience at Dillards today. I wanted to let management know as all of the customers who may be interested in purchasing quality, long, lasting cosmetics. Isabella has been my sales representative for Chanel products for almost 15 years. I like her honesty and I stick with Chanel and I follow her no matter where she goes, Isabella will be honest with you. She will share what will work for you rather than something you will use in return that is not good for you. That's why I keep coming back and not shifting to another cosmetic line or over-the-counter things because I like the way I look and it is clearly a result of the suggestions Isabella has made for me. I hope management realizes the gym of a human being and person that they have working for them in Chanel. Because of Isabella. I have also bought my lingerie, bras etc. in the women's intimate section. I have been a Dillard's customer since the mid 80's. Whether I'm shopping for a gift or just essentials, they have exactly what I need. I went in today thinking I could buy 2 G-Shock watches for gifts. I assumed the lady right behind me would come over to greet me and help me with the selections. After standing there for a good 10 minutes, crouching down to look at them closer, trying to give her a hint I needed help, nothing. She proceeds to dash out of the counter to help this couple across from me that just walked over to look at eyewear. I decided it was time for me to go. As I started to leave, I glanced over to look if she would make eye contact, and sure enough she did! It wasn't the eye contact that would welcome you to buy something, but more of condescending look. I feel sorry for this amazing company hiring people that have no customer service skills or common sense. I hope they replace this old lady that is tarnishing the brand's reputation. I love this Dillard's because of the service. We stopped in last night Thanksgiving Eve. We parked in the front of the store and Security was out welcoming everyone to Dillard's in the most cheerful manner. My husband stopped into Kiehl's and Christian took excellent care of us we ended up buying two lip balms plus the hand cream. Christian knew exactly what my husband needed for his dry hands. I wandered over to Fragrance and Fatima was so knowledgeable. I have been looking for this fragrance that was light and sweet and she led me right to Valentino. So this is a disappointing review as I usually have had good experiences at this Dillard's however this particular instance was not only unusual but exceptionally disappointing. I had been to 2 different stores looking for just a basic black long sleeve t shirt that was form-fitting. Sounds easy to find right? No. I literally never found one. That's not my issue though, my problem is that after asking attendants (3 in particular) not only did none of them find ANYTHING... in a DEPARTMENT STORE... but after a few minutes they basically all scattered and disappeared on me leaving me alone to my own devices to find nothing. I am again reminded that I shouldn't rely on a shop to have what I need as basic as it is (again just a plain black long sleeve shirt) and I should order everything online as modern day standard is progressing toward. read more

The Dillard's women's shoe department has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Don't bother coming here, go to Macy's, Off Broadway, or Nordstrom's Rack. I am 18 years old and appear probably around 16 and the sales associates made sure to help every single person around me that was probably 40 years old or so. It took more than 20 minutes to get someone to help which I had to ask for, and than she seemed irritated to help us and was short with her responses. read more

My experience was horrible twice in a row!! No costumer service at ALL!! Specially in Shoes department, so I went looking for dress shoe -first off They completely ignore you, and they don't care. That you are looking at them or calling them!!! - Then when they finally decide to you look at you they make ass remarks under there lip right I front of you. I must have gone on a very good day... After reading other reviews I was pleasantly surprised at how well we were treated. Bra shopping which is usually a nightmare went very well thanks to Elizabeth in lingerie!! She was a huge help. Trying on items that are so intimate can often be uncomfortable, however Elizabeth made it easy and very comfortable. She was a huge help...a big thank you to her. David in the men's department was very helpful as well. He was diligently working on the floor sticking and tagging items but made sure to greet us and guide us. Overall a great experience...even left with some nice things. read more

If I could give this store NO STARS I would. It's truly hit and miss with the women associates. The men's department had friendly and helpful service during their Christmas season last year. Even during checkout, first thing in the morning I had only $100 bills. The manager that responded was equally as friendly and customer service was great. The women's lingerie department and the MAC cosmetics lady with dyed silver hair and clown makeup is another story. The rude girl in the lingerie dept was a flat chested mess. That had a passive aggressive attitude. Saying and doing mean things about having to look for large cup bras. She took in returns instead of waiting on me. What a WITCH. The snobby clown at the MAC counter should join the circus, not work with the public. That side show freak not only lectured me about recycling lipsticks and she acted like I was trying to steal. Never had this problem before. She didn't have to recycled color I wanted, so I asked if she could suggest another one. You would have thought I asked her for a kidney. She started questioning me like she was annoyed I ask her to think. My mom need an eyebrow pencil and she half-assed helped her. I left totally insulted. The customer service at this store is hit or miss. Not worth me spending my money there. Especially with MACY'S, SOMA and other specialty stores throughout the plaza. read more

This review is about the MAC counter inside of Dillard's. After having up and down experiences at the Sephora at Downtown Summerlin, I decided to go back to the make-up brand that I was first introduced to when I fell in love with Fashion/Beauty. I've been looking for a foundation for the longest that works for me since I have oily skin and Kat Von D's Lock-It Foundation has unfortunately not been working for me this summer. *ugly cry face* You do have to walk through all the other make-up counters to get to MAC, so it felt a little awkward considering the rest of the employees at the other counters (Dior, Clinique, etc.) looked like they were gonna pounce me (it looked slow today, they were just being attentive). MAC is towards the end near the escalators. Immediately once I started checking out the lipsticks, I noticed a total of four employees. I was approached by one employee who asked if I needed help finding anything or wanted to test out a lipstick, so I just asked for the lipstick and lip liner I wanted at that point. She was not only assisting me, but also another guest as well. She did communicate that she would pull aside the lipstick for me and that she would be right with me after she helped the other guest, which was great. Not many places communicate with the guest. I ended up wandering over to the foundation and she met up with me and continued to customer service me there. She was very friendly and sweet, and allowed me to tell her a bit about my issue with the foundation I normally used as well as tell her about my skin type and concerns about foundations. She suggested two foundations for me and had me sit so she could help me with my foundation. She did keep getting pulled away by other guests, so I was waiting for a bit in the chair for her, but I wasn't in a hurry and quite honestly, I was impressed by the care she put in all her guests, considering she was not the only employee there, from a retail management standpoint, she did phenomenal. I had to fight not to try to recruit her, as her customer service skills were apparent. Eventually, she finished up with applying the foundation on me and she even gave me a nice shimmer on my cheekbones. For someone who was in gym clothes with no eyebrows on or hair done, I looked pretty darn cute! I ended up walking out with foundation, primer, lipstick, and lipliner. Totally ready to glam myself up. My only concern is that although she was amazing, the other employees seemed to be absorbed in tasks. They were nice, don't get me wrong and I'm sure they helped other guests while I was looking around, but I didn't really see them doing what - Patrice, Patricia - (I'm sorry, I didn't catch her name correctly.) was doing for me. Other than that, I had a pretty awesome experience and will be coming back to this location instead of driving down to Fashion Show. Thank you so much, Patrice!!! read more

We came in soon after the store opened this past Saturday morning. We went to the fine china and kitchenware section on the second floor looking for a pair of champagne flutes for a friend's 25th anniversary. We were greeted by a lovely saleslady who was happy to show us flutes from Germany, Ireland, and the Czech Republic. All were stunning. In the end it was the German flutes that won our hearts. I write this 5-star review because this woman was exceptional in her helping us decide, though it was such a small gift. I wish I could remember her name, but alas, I cannot. On her suggestion we headed to the gift wrap department where another lovely lady did a "Number 7" wrap for us, which was truly stunning. When we went back into the store, our glassware lady asked us if we liked the way our glasses were wrapped. We showed her and she wished our friend a "happy anniversary". On a side note, my mother worked for the May Co. Department Stores in Southern California for over 30 years in the 60s-90s. She would tell me that no matter what your day is like personally and no matter how familiar you are with your products, you always treat every customer from their point of view... and it's all new to them... and they probably had a tough week and now it's their turn to be treated well and with kindness. This is how we were treated on Saturday morning... and why we will absolutely return to this lovely store. I hope we see this wonderful person again. The one star rating is for the cosmetics department. Dillard's fails miserably for customer service in cosmetics. I love Mac makeup, and I was happy to find Mac at Dillard's. The happiness did not last long. A few visits looking for products I left very disappointed. They are not well stock in certain shades. I encountered on my last visit a rude sales associate. She seem bothered to look for my makeup, and walked away when new customers arrived to help them. Needless to say I left. I won't spend my money with stores that do not give good customer service. I will in the future order online, or travel the distance to Town Square's Mac store. Dillard's get it together. Your business success is based on customers. read more

Leo is the reason for this score. I was browsing the men's section on 2/23 and put back two shirts I wanted to come back for. He was secretly trying to follow me and then yelled at me about where the shirts were as I walked out to head to another store before making my purchase. First, train your team to look for what they think is missing before yelling at a black man to try and accuse him of shoplifting. FBI statistics show that whites are more than 50% of department store shoplifting while blacks are less than 20%. Instead of watching me, watch someone else. Ultimately I bought the shirts after my purchase somewhere else because Dillard's has amazing deals, but Leo ruined my entire shopping experience today. Prejudice at its finest read more

My husband & I were at the downtown summerlin location looking for shirts for him, he's super tall & has a hard time finding shirts that fit properly. We found one! As we were walking around looking for more, this worker walks past us & then starts shouting what I think was "SIR" repeatedly. We stop & turn around & he's looking at us as if our pockets are full of stolen merchandise. He then asks if he needs a dressing room (I was holding the shirt by the way) & he told him no. The man still has this look of disgust on his face, his tone was so accusatory & says "Are you looking for more then?!". It was clear we weren't welcome, I don't know why we were treated like that. My husband made me put the shirt back & we left because we weren't going to give money to a company that made us feel so awful. I don't understand what we did to warrant that treatment. We weren't acting out or being loud, we're really reserved, quiet people. I hate the way my husband was made to feel like we weren't good enough to be there. To the worker who was in the men's department around 1pm on Sunday 7/31/22, thanks for being so rude and making two people feel absolutely awful simply for existing in your store. read more

First time in here today and sadly it'll also be my last. Called their juniors dept last night to see if a dress my daughter wanted was in stock. I spoke to a Natalya who was very nice and found the size we were looking for. Being that it was close to closing time, she said she would hold it for me for today. Went in around 11am and asked the lady in the juniors dept for the dress that Natalya was holding for me. She proceeds to tell me that Natalya put in her two weeks notice and left everything messed up. Obviously I don't care, I was just looking for the dress. She said the dress wasn't where all the held dresses were but of course she's not surprised. A few minutes of looking for other dresses, another lady came and helped and she found the dress that Natalya held for me. The other lady was so busy venting and talking crap about Natalya that the dress was actually right in front of the hold rack the whole time! So unprofessional! Luckily, the dress actually didn't fit (it was $110 and did not look like it should have cost more than $40!) and there were no other sizes available. In fact, the lady didn't even offer to help us at all while my daughter was trying it on. She was standing at the register eating a bagel! The dresses here were all overpriced and the selection was awful. Not to mention the customer service was absolutely terrible! We went to Macy's and found 2 dresses that were way better than any selection they had and spent even less! This dept was a joke! Hire some workers with some professionalism and not publicize the drama they're having with their coworkers. I was appalled at how unprofessional she was! Today I visited downtown Summerlin mall where I purchased some items from Clinique and Estée Lauder I just wanted to leave a review because I both Clinique and Estée Lauder there was a young blonde girl at Clinique Who was extremely helpful and was able to provide me lots of information about the products and helped me be able to ship it to my mothers house also at Estee Lauder there was a guy Asian lady Who was extremely helpful about informing me on their products and helped me be able to find my right foundation I've never had an experience with people being so kind and helpful at any mall before you guys are definitely picking the right employees definitely should get a raise!! thank you read more
