Dillard's sucks. We walked out. Was going to buy over 300.00 in clothes and they had misleading signs around the store. 10% off with Dillard card. So I opened one and then find out it is on next purchase. I asked to talk to a manger and he even admitted the signage is misleading and apologized. But he let me walk on about $35.00 off full price clothes. There was no other customers on the second floor of the department store. I told him no wonder Dillard's is hurting and they just closed some stores. Just like Sears. No longer competitive and now we are at Macy's buying same dresses and for less before discount. I will mail a letter to Dillard's with the credit card cut up and a copy of Macy's receipt. I can't believe retail would allow someone to walk out of their store for such little, especially when a competor is right next door and online killing them. Amazing. Rant over. read more

One of the best things about this location is that if you look hard enough, you can get deals that are almost as good, if not just as good as at the Meadows Mall clearance center. Awful customer service ,especially in the cosmetic area! The specific counters are Estée Lauder & Bobbi Brown . The manager of this area of cosmetic counters is condescending . I am a frequent customer and I spend significantly on cosmetics. I follow the requirements of having the box with the return label on it as well as my current receipts that are required for all returns. My experience with cosmetics is that you really do not know how the cosmetic formula or color will work until you try it on at home. I'm know different then any other woman or who wears makeup. I take exception to a salesperson questioning me to the point of TRYING to make you feel guilty for returning an item because it diminishes their commissions and to discourage me from returning . I used to shop at Nordstrom At Fashion show for cosmetics and was so happy when Dillards opened near to my home ,but now I will consider returning to Nordstroms where I am welcomed and appreciated for my business & not condemned for returns. You need to rehire ,retrain & rethink how you treat customers as far as returns are concerned. We consumers have lots of shopping options and too many choices of stores to shop at than to return to a store and be treated so shabbily .The only time your sales associates are friendly are when you make a purchase but watch out should you have a return . The Estée Lauder counter sales woman are completely out of hand with there lack of interest to assist with colors and options. That counter is the worst , they actually let you know their too busy for you and all they ever do is unpack product boxes, which should be done at hours when you are closed .The manager in that area was so annoyed that I was returning that she said I needed a color class, because when she asked why I was returning I replied "the colors didn't work for me". I told her I didn't need a color class I know exactly what works and what doesn't . I then asked her "are you saying that because I am returning "? She didn't respond ,so I then informed her of the numerous other cosmetics that I purchased & kept that she wasn't even aware of. I should not have been spoken to this way, it was insulting and rude. Dillards you shouldn't carry high end cosmetics like La mer with low skilled & rude sales persons & managers ,the customers in this area will not tolerate being treated with such a lack of respect . Ordered a couple of sweaters online and when they arrived I found that they were too short in the sleeves for me. I took them back to return them and found myself being grilled by the salesperson as to why I was bringing them back. Never question returns!!! You lose customers that way!! Oh, how I've missed MAC Cosmetics! I had left for a while on a hunt to find the best foundation for my sensitive skin (eczema and rosacea). I loved how sweet and caring Brittany was, very patient and explained awesome new products & upgrades! Their new eye primer is all day lasting and doesn't crease! I tried the new foundation but still prefer the pro long-wear which as long as my eczema has not caused a breakout, I am fine to use, doesn't make my skin flakey nor oily and doesn't define the wrinkle lines, just perfect. The store was clean and organized, and thanks to Brittany for the samples, I will be back for another purchase! read more

Yesterday I walked out after trying on about 20 outfits I found 3 over the price 120 each item like usual. I walked out with nothing because of who was helping us in the dress department. Lisa was rude and unaccommodating I asked her to hold the 3 items because I wanted to find shoes to match she told me well I will only hold them for one hour that's it in a rude tone when I came back to try them on again she wouldn't help us when she did she had no clue who was in dressing rooms she opened the door with no knocking on two lady's dressing. Then says well you will have to wait. I agreed she was horrible with her tone. Everything that came out of her mouth felt like I was bothering her. One hour wait to stand in line to look at a limited section of shoes. Sales associates fairly busy helping 4-5 people at a time so take time to find shoes in ones size and not much personal attention. Since limited selection frequently will not find shoes in your size. Dillard's Summerlin has always been a favorite shopping spot. Today however I was extremely disappointed to learn that they do not require their guests to wear masks even though it is a mandatory requirement for Nevada. I noticed a gentleman not wearing a mask walking up to the escalator right behind me. I did my best to continue climbing to distance myself. He was also in line behind me at the Customer Service Counter where I had been directed by a salesperson. We remained in line for about 10 minutes and I was very nervous about exposure. As I left the store directly after my business was done, I asked the security guard at the door who was wearing a mask, if Dillard's store policy did not include requiring their customers to wear a mask and he said no, there was no mandatory mask policy at Dillard's so he could not enforce it. I do not feel like Dillard's is looking out for the safety of their customers so I personally will not be going back. read more

I have been a loyal customer for 30 years. The new Summerlin store is lovely. My only complaint and YES I have made it clear to management many many times is the crappy cheap plastic bags! When I buy a beautiful coach purse or expensive Chanel makeup I want it out in a lovely handle bag. I really hate the Walmart quality bag that discounts the merchandise and the experience that goes with shopping in a classy store. Chanel counter is horrible! My daighter is nine years old and a young lady was getting her make up done. My daughter waited over 30 minutes and politely asked for a "make over" the lady told her she was very busy amd could not. There was no one else at her counter. There were 4 ladies total in the women's jewelry department in Dillard's and not one of them asked if we needed any assistance. Not surprised because we went in last week for perfume and 3 women plus a guard did not say or ask if we needed any assistance. I find it odd because these employees make commission of off customers purchases. I asked to verify from the employee who did offer help which from a different department. She went to wave at women from that department and I told her not to wave them over because they seen us walk in and I would like her to help us. She was very kind and helpful with our purchases. Most of Dillard's employees seem they are pretty much getting paid to be mannequins. Back to jewelry counter, we were wondering around the counters searching for chains for about 10 minutes and did not come across any and still no assistance so we headed over to Macy's and hit the jackpot. 60% sale plus additional 20% off for pre-sale / pickup feb 4. I was trying to buy a pair of shoes for my sister's rehearsal dinner. They only had one pair in my size for the shoe I liked. The problem was, they looked like they had already been worn and returned. I asked to speak with a manager, and Erin came over, she looked like she was only overseeing the make up department, but I guess she moonlighted as a shoe manager as well. I asked her if there was anything they could do to see if they could see if another store had the same ones or if they could work with me on the price, but she looked at the shoes, looked at me, and said, no and walked away. I bought them because I have been looking for shoes for my dress for over 2 weeks and these were all that worked, but I am very disappointed and the quality of the item and lack of customer service from the staff. read more

Let's start with the good, the 2 gentlemen in the men's suit department were very helpful, friendly and most professional. They did everything possible to help me pick a suit for my husband. Needles to say, I bought a suit that they helped find and it fits my husband as if it was tailored for him. They deserve 5 stars but the women's shoe department ruined the whole experience for me. 2 sales ladies (sorry I didn't get their names so I have to describe: one white with long blond hair and the other black and tall) provided no customer service. I asked them if they have a particular shoe in my size. They kept me waiting. As new customers arrived, the blond sales person kept approaching them, the other one disappeared while I waited by the register. I had to go, so I left after 20 minutes without finding out if they have my size. It is hard to find comfy stylish shoes but even harder in navy blue, so I am quite disappointed. Anyway, I visit Summerlin Dillard's often and find their customer service a letdown. The store should work harder to improve their service. This experience at the men's suit department was refreshing and the only great experience since they opened this location. Maybe they could give lessons to other departments. read more

This is a review of the MAC Cosmetics inside Dillards, not the department store itself. The girl at the counter makes me not want to wear MAC ever again! She seriously looked at me like I was bothering her while she was touching up her own makeup (she's goth with piercings and doesn't smile). I politely asked her if I could try on a lipstick color and she put some alcohol on it real quick, handed it to me, walked away and went back to doing her own makeup. Um.... aren't you here to help me find stuff? I told her I didn't like the color and wanted something a bit brighter. Then with a really rude tone she said "Well I think it looks fine, I see it clearly." Hmm, I think it's about what I like - not you. And if I don't like something, then as a sales associate you should be understanding and say "Ok lets find another!" But no... she just walked away... wow. It wasn't until today that I finally found a men's department with an individual that understands how to assist choosing and fitting my husbands suits. Jerry is professional and friendly. I loved this store until last night. I want to point out the positive of this store first. You park walk in , shop and then walk out so convenient it's great. I have been shopping for both me and my son for clothes. I don't mind the extra cost because the service was good. Last week I had Jay Wilson amazing selling me a suit knowing my size by just looking at me the man knows his stuff. I told Jay I will be back for dress shoes and shirts, what a mistake.. I could not get any help lastnight at all 5 people in the men's department standing around is completely crazy. Last week my son wanted a shirt it was a the tag said large but the shirt was xxxl. Because the shirt didn't have the yellow tag and I didn't have the receipt on me they couldn't help. Target can look up your receipt with your credit card. He was upset and I was also. Love Dillard's and their wonderful sales. Most of my experience comes from interactions with two outstanding sales associates in the menswear department. One at Summerlin and one at the Fashion Show Mall. Patti Lewis is the sales associate at the Summerlin store. She is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful. I was especially impressed when she directed me to several other departments based upon our discussion of items I was looking to purchase. What a great representative of the Dillard's brand. Similarly, Ruby Martinez is an outstanding sales associate in the men's department at the Dillard's store at the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip. Ruby has a very keen sense of style and always helps to point me in the right direction with clothing selections when I ask for her opinions. . I'm impressed by how many other customers know her and ask for her by name while I'm shopping in the department. That speaks volumes to me. Sales associates like Patti and Ruby are the reason I shop these two stores frequently. read more

Visited Dillards on 1/1/16 for their wonderfully advertised sale. The ladies' shoe section was roped off with two guards. You had to fall in line for hours to even be allowed to browse/shop for shoes. Apparently there were only 8 associates who can only serve 80 at a time. There was so much space and room for other shoppers to go in, it was ridiculous. Talk about not staffing adequately or just proving a point of who's in control. This is no way to treat customers. Bet they lost potential sales with the way it was handled. Five stars for hype, 1 star for customer service. read more

I had a bad experience at Dillard's at Downtown Summerlin as well. I went to 5 different areas within the store (women's shoes, handbags, juniors, women's apparel and lingerie and not one associate greeted me or asked if I needed help. I'm a long time Dillard's shopper and have never experienced such unprofessionalism. My suggestions is management should have a mandatory customer-service training for all staff members to reiterate the importance of customer-service. Horrible and unprofessional, very poor costumer services I was trying to get clothes for all my family, but I was looking around and the Lady in the kids department, they literally wanted to choose the clothes for you, she just ask me what size I need, they don't let me see the clothes, was really bad, and I know they think is for a better service, but let me tell you Dillard's team, some people like to get the space to see and choose, take the time to make the best decision about our outfits. On top of that the lady from the men's Department, she was the worst, she ask me and I'm not even gonna lie , like 15 times, she was on top of me and she always following me, they make me feel very uncomfortable, finally I decided on some clothes to try on , this same philipina lady that was following me through out the whole store open the fitting room for me , when I was done trying out the clothes I didn't decide on anything so I left everything there I got out with my kids and when I was heading out she yells across and shows me some hangers ?! , security approaches me and stops me the lady comes towards us and shows us the hangers and says these were left behind in the fitting room so security and myself looked surprised she was accusing me of stealing and what I had tried on were some jeans so I try speaking to the manager and the manager just apologized and said they were going to have a conversation with her but yet I got accused of stealing got stopped by security in front of my kids which is really embarrassing not only because she was following us through out the whole department store but yet she had accused me of stealing I would never go back to this department store I would take my services somewhere else were they do appreciate my business and have awesome customer service unlike Dillard's they should hire more customer service oriented workers the ones that are there for example that philipina lady was very rude and unprofessional no customer service skills at all I even showed them my other purchases which I didn't have to and I didn't even get an apology from her she should get fire for false accusations and having poor customer service . read more

I was shopping for gifts but walked out with a bleeding finger that I cut on a piece of broken glass on the display case in the perfume section. No warning sign. A supervisor muttered something about getting a form to fill out but she never returned. A letter to the store manager didn't even rate an apology. I've gone to Dillard's Downtown Summerlin store several times. Each time, I feel like the associates think I'm a thief about to steal something. This is really offensive. I make over $200,000 a year and these people treat me like I don't belong in their store. I never get any assistance. They stare at me, look into my shopping bags, and follow me around the store. You are profiling the wrong person people! The worst offender is the elderly man who works in the home department. He comes right up to me looks in my Banana Republic bag, and starts talking to me about how much he doesn't like people returning items. Really? Several minutes later, I see him scolding the customer service associates who returned crystal Christmas items and didn't notice that the customer switched the items in the box with bogus merchandise. He starts talking loudly about how he "knew that woman was going to steal." Sir, if you think you are so clever, I suggest you quit your position as sale rep, and apply for a position in security. read more
