The pulled pork sandwich is one of the best, if not the best I have ever had. I have been eating pulled pork for 30 plus years and have some amazing sandwiches in that time (including my own). On my last visit I also had the Crazy Bird Chicken sandwich and it was every bit as good as the pulled pork. I do agree about the service. When the restaurant is slow, the staff and owner are amazingly friendly. But when they are busy, you get ignored. There is a terrible lack of communication if the staff gets overwhelmed. Nevertheless, the food I've had at Dillon's is worth being ignored. And it's incredibly inexpensive for the quality of food. ($10 each for an amazing pulled pork sandwich and a delicious chicken sandwich...I recently spent $12-15 each at 3 separate food trucks in Bend for mediocre food.) read more

I'm a huge supporter of local business over larger corporate food dispensaries. I prefer dining at a restaurant that has more to do with the community than a place the pushes out garbage. However, I was unable to find that in Dillon's Grill. The first time I ate here I had some BBQ. The meat was dry and it was as if it was simply just reheated from the day before. The last time I went I ate a simple burger. Hard to screw up a burger. However, Dillon's Grill did it with spades. I asked for medium well and got a cold raw burger. The bun was supposed to be toasted but it was soggy and quickly turned to mush. I'll just make this simple: go eat somewhere else. Prineville offers a lot of other local food locations that won't make you sick. read more

My wife and I shared a meal of wings and a half rack of ribs with onion rings an Cole slaw. We also each had a beer. The beer was local so we got what we expected. Central Oregon is beer central so we always get good beer. The ribs were the best we have had as waste Cole slaw. The wings were good and the onion rings hood as well. Yes, it's a grill, so focus is on meat but the salmon is really good. I had it blackened and the cook managed it without overcooking. Veggie sides were good and they have some interesting sounding drinks I'll try next time. Ice cream and brownie for dessert with a chocolate beer at the bar inside on the way out. Good ice cream. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. The food is inedible. We couldn't eat more than a couple bites each. The Mac is completely flavorless and has the consistency of already chewed food. The brisket dip is absolutely delicious! Soft tender meat and a flavorful dip to dunk it in. The spicy burger is really good too, the jalapeños are pickled and add an extra kick. The pulled pork beer cheese fries are really good too, though I suggest getting it if you have more than 3 people, it's pretty big. read more

My friend & I ate lunch at Dillion's today. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by two women. Dillion's menu is really good. After finally coming to a decision, we decided to share the fajita chicken salad and a pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sauce is REALLY good, and I kept adding more. My friend had the rib combo, and he devoured every last bite. Salad bar is small, but the offerings were fresh. Everything I took was great tasting. I've read a couple reviews about bad service. I have to say ours was great from the hostess to the waitress. Friendly, smiling, and prompt. Place was busy, not packed, but they seemed to keep us real well with the service. I ordered the Garlic Fries for all of us to enjoy. We ordered the brisket platter and poked pork sandwich, with garlic hog fries for an appetizer. Not sure what to expect, we were impressed from the first to the last bite.
