A Burger Restaurant That Takes Its Work Seriously Redmond Burger Company is the kind of place that does not need to advertise itself. Word gets around, and once you visit, you understand why. The staff here deserve particular recognition. There is a young man with a moustache who works the floor with quiet competence. He is attentive without being intrusive, and he knows the menu well. Even more impressive was our server, a redheaded young woman whose name I believe is Kaia. She was genuinely warm, unhurried, and clearly takes pride in her work. This is not something you can train into a person. She simply has it. The food is very good. The burgers are made with care and the portions are honest. The fries and onion rings are prepared in house, and you can taste the difference. Nothing on the plate felt like an afterthought. For families, this is an excellent choice. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are patient with children. In summer, the patio is particularly pleasant. It catches the Oregon sun well and has a comfortable, unhurried feeling that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Redmond is lucky to have a place like this. The original food when this restaurant started in Bend could not be beat. Wonderful. My last few times I went there I was disappointed that it has changed and not for the better. Very expensive now and quality is down. I went to the Bend Burger Company for the hand cut french fries. The current ones are not good. I still like the burgers without the special sauce (not a fan). Hands down the best onion rings I've ever had in my life. Crispy, not oily, flavorful without any sauce. Both my boyfriend and I were actually speechless when we ate the first one. 11 out of 10, they should get an award. We both got the Lava Butte burger. The bun was pillow soft and they had crisped the inside on the grill with butter. It was perfectly spicy, we subbed charred fresh jalapenos for the pickled ones they usually use. My boyfriend doesn't like sauces and got it without the chipotle peppers and said it was still flavorful. The fries were thicker cut, not a steak fry, but definitely still thicker than a normal fry. Very soft on the inside, not so much crunchy on the outside, but i they had a nice bite through the skin. My favorite type of fry so I was thrilled, my boyfriend said they were yummy, but not his favorite. Their outdoor area was cute, well maintained and had plenty of shade. If I lived here I would be here weekly. They weren't busy when we went (4pm on a Saturday) and the service was great - friendly and efficient. read more

This isn't our first visit to Redmond Burger... and it won't be our last! The food quality is consistently good. The service is fantastic and attentive but they seem to lack the number of staff needed if they get slammed. The warm environment can get crowded but when the weather is good there is a decent outside space. My specific rating would be a 3.6 stars so that's why I rounded up. The biggest issue I have is the cost of the food and this is beyond all the price increases. read more

Wife got some big expensive salad said it wasn't good daughter got a blt and only ate half, the saving grace was the onion rings, they came out fresh hot and delicious. Service was all right. Our waitress disappeared at the end and we had to wait to get the bill. The table was clean, but they were crammed in there, not very comfortable for one of us who had to sit on the side of the table with several people right behind. One must try several times to get a complete experience. First time there I was by myself. Burger was great, salad limp, service good. No other people were in restaurant. Second time with a friend, burger was dry, salad limp, service was bad. Had to ask for a knife, was told he gave one to my friend. When he brought one, it was sticky dirty. I had the Pole Pedal Paddle Burger, which had a delicious mango ginger chutney on it with some charred jalapeños and perfect bacon. He had the Broken Top Burger, which is fully loaded with blue cheese. We both got the fries, and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. They also have a great selection of beers and ciders on tap. The food came out fairly quickly, and the staff was friendly enough. They did seem a little scattered and we didnt really have a single waitress. The one gal that helped with beer selection (they dont have a beer list, you have to ask or go over and look at the taps) Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant is right on a main road. We found parking right out front but I imagine on a busy busy night that might be hard to do. Had a burger with a crumbly and fairly dry bun. The tater tots were overdone. Ordered another and still overfried. Cook said if they fry them less they are frozen in the middle. Sat down at the bar with maybe 2 other tables being used in entire restaurant during lunch. Server was friendly and quickly took our order. The restaurant started to fill over the next 20 to 30 minutes but zero food was coming out. After waiting just under an hour we asked for our beverage check and left before receiving our food.
