I found that each holiday since , the quality and service I receive has saved me a trip back to Astoria. I told him it had been at least 13 years since I had a hero... Initially I wanted a bologna and cheese lettuce tomatoes but they carry the boars head that only made the mix baloney not the pure beef baloney... No worries so they gave me a turkey and cheese instead and said they would look into purchasing the all beef bologna... Thank you guys... Anyway they told me they were gonna make a sandwich that would put me to sleep and now that I look at it I'm gonna have to take half the meat off of this sandwich... They are totally generous. Way overpriced. Much cheaper at other butcher shops. And meat is almost always of bad quality. Went in to get chopped meat and realized when I got home it was BROWN. I called them and they replaced it but it was still a hassle. Went in to get chicken cutlets, and got such terrible quality. Had to throw half of them out. See picture. The only place I buy my steaks. I can't say enough about this place, Mark, and his staff. A great group of guys. The selection is top notch from, strip steaks, to porterhouse, to other chops. A great selection of prepared foods and sweets at certain times. Everything is fresh and delicious and they have a great selection of breads, pastas, sauces, and other goodies. They also do cold cuts like other butcher shops and I've yet to find a place that has Parma Ham as fresh as they do. Never a disappointment and coming from a family that owned their own butcher shop I can safely say top notch! read more

From the owner, Mark Demarco to the rest of the staff, they are very friendly and have the best meats in Queens. They cut to your specifications, and the prices are very reasonable. Too often I have gotten bad meats from the local supermarkets; not at DiMarco's, always fresh. Well worth a try. read more

I live about 5 minutes from two local butcher shops in my area but I make the 20 minute drive to DiMarco's because they are just incredible. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful with whatever I need and their meat is just amazing. I've had their chicken breasts, parsley and cheese sausage, skirt steak and brisket. Every meal was so delicious that even my picky 3 year old ate it. I can't wait to try their prepared foods because I've heard they're just as wonderful as their meats. This place is everything you want from a butcher shop. It has the charm of yesterday and amazing service. We bought a variety of steaks and brought them home to grill and I must say, some of the best meat I've ever had. We were there for a total of 20 minutes And the staff made us feel like we were old friends. As great as that is, it's all about the meat and the food. We can't be grateful enough for DiMarcos. For graduation we ordered the 6 foot chicken cutlet, roasted tomato and mozzarella sandwich. Everyone raved about the food and ate up. There wasn't one piece left within an hour. Even our non bread, non meat eaters dug in! Great sandwiches, lots of fresh cuts of meat, really good prepared foods, authentic Italian grocery items, and even a good selection of more obscure things like tallow, rabbit, venison, bison, duck, even frozen alligator and emu (I'm not kidding). Last 3 times got the wrong order. Order roast beef sub got tuna fish. The man making it should have known when I said oil and vinegar with some mayo and Swiss. Very poor service. I live close by in stathmore and have been going here since 1979. The service has been poor since the start of covid. I won't be back got a while. I'll go to the competition near taco bell. I've tried almost al of the prepared food and it's pretty terrific--crab cakes, stuffed cabbage, lasagna, meatballs, mac-and-cheese, Shepherd's Pie. My mother cannot get enough of the carrot souffle. What I love is that the butchers are happy to mix-and-match different items to create individual meals for the freezer (which my mother also loves) at reasonable prices for the quality and quantity. And there's lmost always fresh sauteed spinach and green beans so you can put together balanced meals. I think DiMarco's is a neighborhood treasure. read more

Dimarco's Butcher Shop in Glendale is an old school butcher shop where the attendants are welcoming and their meats are outstanding. Always fresh, cut to order and with a smile. Nice to finally have a great butcher shop again. Had some last minute catering done by them, they were more than willing to help me out and let me just say the food was amazing and so much of it that we had leftovers for a couple of days. I opened a business in the Neighborhood back in August. One day I was looking to get something to eat. Although there was Diners and Bodegas "Deli's" in the Neighborhood. I was curious about DiMarco's to see what they had to offer. Well it was the best thing I did by stumbling into that store. I was greeted and taken care in orderly fashion. Top it off, very clean Butcher Shop. I ordered a lunch Special and Loooooovvvveeeeddd the food. Omg I think I've gained weight because of them ‍. But every pound was well worth it. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Been going to DiMarcos since they opened after having bad experiences with supermarket meats. Never have been disappointed with them. Great butcher shop. Owner is very welcoming and helpful. Cuts of meat are great. They also have some seasoned meats. Ive tried their seasoned chicken breast which were really good. Also got our Thanksgiving turkey from here and you could tell it was fresh and nothing like frozen supermarket turkey. Glad to have them in the neighborhood. read more
