He had no idea how popular they were. During the holidays I treated my self to some salmon but also smoked trout dip. The dip was an absolute decadence on a Ritz cracker. Made that time extra special! I like cooking salmon simply, making a grilled veggie and mashed potatoes. Gives me the feels of a fancy restaurant but it's at home and it's so much cheaper. And this summer the left over salmon on a bed of spinach with peaches and avocados is a must! The shop is small. If you are a regular meat lover this is the place. It's local and fresh. Reminds me a lot of the butcher shops in Germany. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful! It's always super organized too. Everything has its place. This store has an eclectic variety of shelf stable products, a Deli Dept. that has American, Italian, Polish cold cuts, and salads. Their produce section is amazing. It's the world wide selection of fresh produce, herbs, and vegetables that is truly amazing. Keep your Translator app open. Many of the cans & bottles are in the native language from the country where they are produced. The experience is akin to being in a market in another country. The staff somehow keeps the shelves and bins filled, actually know what they are handling, and they can answer a question. There's a navigator that keeps the check-out line moving. She had a particularly gnarly cough that honey alone wasnt helping. I read about marshmallow root being good for sore throats and coughs and decided to stop in for the dried root as well as a tincture in case the tea was rejected. I also have been suffering from migraines with the change of weather and picked up some peppermint oil. The marshmallow root tea was tasty to me but my little hated it. I opted for the tincture in some juice and it helped break up her cough. Will def be back to explore some other natural remedies... in the mean time I will be experimenting with marshmallow root to make medicinal marshmallows.
