I just tried to eat at Dimassis on a Friday night. I got there at 8:20 pm. The first thing the hostess said is "we close in 20 minutes" I said but you close at 9 and it is 8:20...she repeated we close in 20 minutes to which I replied, "so you dont want us to eat here?" She had no response, so I turned to leave and she started mumbling something, but by this time, I wasnt giving them my business. It was absolutely clear they were not taking any customers after 8:20 pm If you want to eat there get there early. read more

I'm amazed by the rave reviews here. I could only assume they frequent McDonalds and give them 5 star reviews, as well. This is exactly what one would would expect from a buffet. Food good. Service was non-existent, means no one came to ask how we are doing. Used plate collection was after long wait , so we put it on next table. One big mistake. Don't pay tip up front. Overall a pretty good experience. Walked in for the first time and was greeted immediately. Told to have a seat wherever I wanted and have fun chowing down. I tried to sample as much as possible. Most of it was excellent, but my favorites included some of the meats. The baklava was rather tasteless compared to other places I have been to. Most of the desserts I sampled were pretty bland. Unfortunate since most of the main courses were very tasty. They also had an ice cream machine which I thought was an excellent idea, but I didn't partake of it. Restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly, but, I won't be back. The food was mediocre and layout was not convenient. Meat was dry and pasta was mushy. Drink machine had no ice so we had to drink warm soda until the end of our meal. I met friends who frequent this restaurant in Grapevine and was surprised to see such a wide variety on an all you can eat buffet including drinks and desserts. Food was replenished and even piled high on a Monday night when there were few patrons. I don't think they turned a profit that night so they must make it up on other nights. I left my wallet in the men's room. Called the restaurant and was told my wallet was not there but I could come and look. I did and it was closed. I called the guy back and he said I could come back the next day but I needed to work. My friend drove back the next day and discovered they had my wallet and would keep it for me until I arrived. I called the restaurant and was told again they did not have my wallet. The confusion was the phone number I had found online was for a different location in Frisco! I finally called the correct number and the lady at the cash register confirmed with me it was my wallet and they held it until I could get there in the evening. I was very happy to not only get my wallet back but to discover nothing was missing - not even the cash! Anyone could have pocketed that money and said it wasn't in the wallet, so obviously I was impressed with the honesty and integrity of the staff. I told this story to a friend who is now interested in visiting the restaurant with her son. I will continue to tell this story to others and encourage them to visit this location. This is a true gem of a restaurant if you want a huge variety of fresh, succulent and flavorful Mediterranean food. And it's a buffet! In most buffets one finds numerous items that have cooled or dried out or are beyond their prime. Not here. Run, don't walk to this amazing place. You'll want to go often. read more

3 stars for the food itself. Good variety and most dishes were well done. Lamb shank was excellent. Ground meat kabob was tasty but dry. Same for chicken breast kabob. Fish was tilapia - poor quality. Salads and vegetables were good. Desert was just ok. The frozen yogurt tasted like it was made with water instead of dairy. For the most part it seems they were cutting costs wherever they could, which made for an overall bad experience, especially when you consider the price tag of the weekend lunch buffet at $21. Napkins, silverware, cups, etc all super low quality. Coffee was basically brown water. The bathroom smelled bad, had a hole in the wall, sink hot water didn't work, and one of the stalls didn't even have a toilet paper dispenser. Also looked like the restroom hadn't received attention all day. So basically everything felt sort of cheap which would have been fine if it matched the price tag for the meal. read more

As others have said, the restaurant is bright and clean, the employees are helpful and there are reasonable COVID precautions for a buffet. The food is better tasting at the Plano location. The stew chicken ( according to my wife ) was good but she got the last piece of meat in the entire tray. I prefer my gyro meat to be thin slices, not large greasy chunks. Something was missing flavor-wise in the Baba Ghanoush. The Pita bread had sat out a little too long and were flat and dry. They had been refreshed when I went back for more tea but by then I was full. The placement of the utensils, the drinks, and the napkins was a little bit awkward. I'll give them a second try in a couple of months and we'll see how things go. read more

This place has delicious Mediterranean food. I liked that although it was a buffet the food seemed fresh and good quality. The lamb and rice are some of my favorites. The only negative thing I can say about the place was the cashier the first time I went was extremely rude. She suggested I was pregnant when I most definitely was not. Was excited to try this restaurant. Doubt we will return however- children in the restaurant were out of control. I'm a mom and grandmother - and enjoy children of all ages. But - kids were rolling play cars from one end of the restaurant to the other, running and playing tag between the tables, screaming, high-pitched squealing, swinging a plastic rope around (like an extra-long jump rope), pouring the salt and pepper out on the tables, standing on chairs to try and get ice-cream ... basically ruined any attempt to talk or enjoy our meal. Management needs to step in and politely handle this issue. read more

Beautiful remodel from the old Fudruckers. If we had to loose Fuds this is a great replacement. Clean friendly casual atmosphere. Solid buffet with lots of selections. Covid aware but not overbearing. Great price includes drink. Great deserts. The only reason not a five star is the meats were just a little dry. Certainly no where close to inedible. This is one of the latest locations they have opened but unfortunately there is no improvement in the quality or the selection of food. Their menu is still the same and quality seems to be below par as compared to other Mediterranean buffets. The chicken items are mostly bland (with the exception of a couple). I've never tasted such a bad gyro anywhere. It is cut into thick chunks and not even slices. Bakalava is super bad and their ice cream machine is almost always broken. Saw rave reviews from Nextdoor app. We arrived and plates are at start of buffet line without silverware or napkins nearby. All food was cold or room temperature at best. Buffet trays need to be monitored for food safety purposes. Fish was served near other meats. Potential Allergens need to be considered in food placement. Daughter grabbed soft serve ice cream that was half melted by the time it arrived at the table. A health inspector would have multiple concerns here. read more
