It appears that Andalous has greatly gone downhill over the last couple of years. My husband and I were so disappointed in how the quality of the food has declined. The falafel salad was dry and old. No pita bread was ready until we were almost finished with our meal. The Gyro meat had no taste and the dolmas tasted canned. (Trader Joes are better). It seems the overall care of the restaurant had badly declined. Our booth had tipped seats, most of the tables had remains of other diners' meal - not appetizing / we bused our own table. If you love salads, Mediterranean sides and fresh pita, this is the place to be! I love the concept of this restaurant but the quality of the fish and other meats are not good. I couldn't even eat the fish , it tasted rancid and the lamb shanks was so tough and lacked flavor. It was extremely disappointing and highly recommend you bypass these two items. All platters, come with 2 pita breads! As you proceed down the counter, you can see the appetizer section, followed by the side choices, and finally the meat selection choices. Almost at the payment section at the end, there are some desserts and freshly baked offerings. The whole place was like a candy store but with delicious Mediterranee food! Amazing! Went there last night to enjoy a quick bite after CAVA was out of falafel and I'm so happy they were. Was able to enjoy some fresh falafel, freshly baked Zaa'taar bread, salads, veggies and more. Honestly I absolutely love this place (with the exception of my visit today). I had been wanting spicy hummus and my favorite is from andalous. So we drove almost an hour from Aubrey to eat Andalous. We arrived around 1 and it was pretty empty. There was pita in the oven but since some was sitting out, we grabbed the one that was ready and available. We then went through the line and ordered our meals. Their pasta salad is delicious and they've actually added olives to it. We also had spicy hummus (which was delish as normal) but tasted a little dry (and we added olive oil/paprika). The potatoes were a huge disappointment. They were cold and not as flavorful as they typically are. My husband had lamb kabob and I had chicken kabob. We waited a bit for each but they didn't taste warm and fresh like they typically do :(. All in all I'm so sad because not only did we drive in hour (using premium fuel lol) but we had a cold meal so it wasn't the same quality we are used to. I would go back only because this is the first bad experience I've had but heads up to anyone going here- make sure you go right when they open or during a busy time so your food will be hot and fresh. read more

If I had known that I would only get to eat two sides, I would have just gotten the veggie platter and sampled different options since it includes 6 sides. Andalous is very tasty place to eat, the only negatives I can say are my personal disappointments not least of which is that they've changed the menu from a Mediterranean cafeteria into a self serve all you can eat operation with a noticeable increase in pricing. Perhaps this model will be more profitable for them, then again maybe not. At the present time it is still clean and the food is tasty as it is continuing it's delicious menu. I am further disappointed that now there are drastic up charges for the lamb kebabs on top of their already increased prices. Besides this I also want people to know that tips given via the use of CC/ debit card processing machines do not go to the staff but rather the owner of the restaurant.
