WARNING!! Do not ignore the review about being harassed!!! The appraiser wrote an estimate that was immediate rejected by my insurance. I then had to pay the appraiser again to keep my claim open. The payment link had some hidden legal language to prevent customers from criticizing service or submitting a payment dispute, even for just cause. The appraiser did not meet with my insurance company's umpire and instead settled for a fraction of the original estimate. When I disputed the $150 credit card payment for lack of service, and the business owner texted my personal mobile and demanded a cash payment for $1500 for the credit card dispute. I wanted them to take a look at my newly repaired van. New 2017 Honda Odyssey with 1795 miles, in accident with $16,000 in damage. Dim Val of GA came out took a few pics. Not close ups. The report was excellent repair 5 out of 5 star as being excellent. Drove for 1.5 yrs. I was getting ready to fight for Dimish value, wanted another report as this had no notes, limited photos etc. I took to Sugar Hill Auto Collision and found out the van was to dangerous to drive home. SHAC gave me a rental at their expense and helped me to contact the owner of the shop that fixed it. Cumming collision replaced my van with a 2019 brand new Honda Odyssey and gave me a $1.00 for every mile I drove with it not safe. Dimish value of Georgia gave me a false sense of security. Lousy unprofessional service by Tony Rached and staff. They didn't live up to the promises on their website. The service was not done according to insurance company guidelines and my claim payout was about $2,000 less than the potential insurance claim through the appraisal clause and mediation. Tony Rached of Diminished Value of Georgia simply emails you a template "Total Loss Demand Letter" to complete and send to your insurance company, like the one below but he had grammatical errors. TOTAL LOSS DEMAND LETTER [your  info including address] [date] [insurance co. info including the name of adjuster handling claim and address] Claim number: _________________ Loss date: ________________ Dear Adjuster, With regards to the insurance claim referenced above, please accept this letter and the documentation attached to my total loss payout request. In accordance with my rights to be brought back whole and as proof of my loss I submit the enclosed appraisal report completed by Tony Rached an independent, licensed and professional appraiser. His report indicates my vehicle's market value to be $-- -- -. I hereby demand to be fully indemnified for this loss, and as such, please remit payment for $-- -- within 7 days of receipt of this notice, in the alternative, please appoint an appraiser to and instruct him to contact my appraiser in order to select an umpire. Respectfully, sign/print Then he simply goes to carguru.com and searches for a few vehicles similar to yours to determine an average value which according to the insurance industry should be within 50 miles of the garaged location of your vehicle, however, he did not follow this and excluded higher valued vehicles of similar style and subsequently caused the claim to be lower than it could have been. Since the appraisal clause of my insurance policy was used and an umpire/mediator was requested, the decision was final. A couple of months ago, my car was severely damaged by some large size hail, to make matters worse, a large branch fell from the oak tree near my garage and dented the roof. I called my insurance company and they asked me to take it to a body shop in Duluth, I can't find them on yelp for some reason! Anyway, I dropped off the car and took a rental. The repair process was very straight forward and relatively easy. A couple of weeks later, I took the car to a dealer to trade it in (I was going to do that anyway, but the hail and the repair delayed me), long story short, they told me that my vehicle had "paintwork" and that he wouldn't give me as much for it and to see an attorney and collect this lost money from my insurance company. I knew about Diminished Value from another claim that was not my fault on an accident I had a few years back, but I had no idea I could ask for it from my insurance. I was confused to say the least. I called my insurance company the next day and they said that there was NO diminished value on hail damage, which made me more confused, so I called an attorney friend of ours and he recommended to call Diminished Value of Georgia. Apparently insurance company employees are not always aware of such things. So, I called the insurance company again and spoke with a supervisor, he asked me for an "appraisal." So, at this point, I am frustrated and not very happy, so I called Diminished Value Georgia and spoke with Stefanie, she took my information and after about an hour, Tony called me with a quote. He was brief and to the point and told me that I've lost $1,200 in value and it would be $150 for him to write an appraisal report, he called it "desk review." I was not happy that I needed to pay him $150 for this document, but felt $1,200 was quite fair, so I hung up and called my carrier back and asked for $1,200 referencing Tony's conversation with me, they said that they cannot issue payment with out paperwork. Grrrr I called Stefanie again and ordered an appraisal report, the process took about 24 hours, which was not bad considering my house appraisal took a week. Anyway, I sent the 6 page report to the claims manager and he told me that $1,200 sounded too high and his own "formula" was showing $75, I was like, $75, that is crazy talk! He told me he would get back to me. An hour later I received an email from Tony stating that he settled the claim at $1,100! I was happy that the claim was done with and that I was getting paid, the check took a week to arrive which I thought was too long, so, my take home after paying the $150 to DvGeorgia was $950. read more

I hired Diminished Value of GA for a claim against my insurance company. I paid $175 for a "desk appraisal" which turned out to be a standard generic demand letter to which I entered a few numbers. In addition an appraisal of my damage, which I am sure was done with a few data entries. The entire desk appraisal probably only a few minutes to complete. Once my insurance company denied their appraisal DV of GA suggested that I can turn my claim over to Claims Logistics for 10% of the difference of what was paid to me by the insurance company and what DV of GA appraisal was. I sent the documents to Claims Logistics with only an address to mail the docs to. For 3 days I emailed DV of GA to inquire how long it takes to get my 10% and any information on the process. Still, no reply, googled Claims Logistics and found nothing. My suggestion is to stay clear of DV of GA, since it seems once they get your $$$ they couldn't care less what happens. read more

My 2011 Camry got hit from back and replaced the bumper. Insurance company only offer me $177 at first. Checking the policy report, it is a moderate damage. Therefore I decide to ask for appraisal for help, and find Diminished Value of Georgia by Google. The report fee is $100 with a coupon, and their estimate is $700. So I sent their request letter to insurance company for the second round, insurance company give me additional $118. Then I start to question whether this company could help me or not. I forwarded email to Tony and Tony is super responsive and helpful! I don't know how he managed, he can reply me at 12:01 am and 8:00 am! Based on his suggestion, I made a 3rd request to insurance company and get extra $505 back! I got the DV value 700 and the 100 report fee! I would highly recommend for whom still hesitate about whether to use their company. Just used Tony at Diminished Value of Georgia as a result of Diminished Value of Georgia being recommend by Dale Cardwell of Channel 2 TV Atlanta on TrustDale.com. I had a 2011 RS Camaro convertible insured by Progressive Insurance that was totaled in an accident. Progressive made a very low estimate of the vehicle and when presented with their multiple errors they did a another estimate and came up with an even lower number. I offered clear evidence their original estimate was incorrect by about $2000. They said they wouldn't reconsider and I would have to exercise my right to dispute by hiring an independent appraiser at my own expense (very affordable from DV G). His independent appraisal confirmed the low offer and he worked with the independent appraiser they hired and both agreed the car was worth the additional $2000 I had told Progressive originally. From my experience it seems like Diminished Value of Georgia is more in the business of looking at collisions and or cars with body damage - not with flood or water damage. Their assessment seemed very low compared to others I've received and am using. Also, the level of customer service was horrible. In dealing with one of their reps (Tina), we ended up having a heated phone conversation where she even said she acknowledged she was being a "bit rude", and I corrected her that she was being "very rude" and at that point I asked if I could speak with someone else. She told me there was no one else to speak with. This seemed odd to me since every job I've had, I've always had a direct report (manager). After debating this point with her for a couple of minutes, she said the only person she reported to was the owner....which I asked for him to please call me. I never heard from the owner. Now, Tina and I had several interactions via e-mail after that point that were better than they previously were, however I would not used this company again based on the very poor customer service I experienced. There are other companies out there who are just as good (if not better) and treat their customers with respect. Very disappointed. read more

I hired carappraisalclaims.com (a sister company of Diminished Value of Georgia for out of state clients) and in the end, it was a waste of money. The original offer made by the insurance company was $500; Tony gave an estimated DV appraisal of $1,900 so I moved forward with his company. However, after sending the appraisal to Allstate, the representative called me to inform me that this $1900 estimate was completely unreasonable because of the damage done to my vehicle and that Allstate was unwilling to pay out more than the original $500. I explained that this was a one year old vehicle and there would be an immediate inherent loss of more than $500. He countered with $700 and said he would put the check in the mail that day. I asked for that written offer and forwarded it to Tony and his team. I was then provided a form letter response that threatened to sue Allstate if I did not receive a counteroffer of $1500. Allstate got back to me and said $700 is the offer, and Tony's team told me: "The alternative at this point, if you're unwilling to accept the $700 as settlement, would be to file suit against Allstate and the other driver in small claims court in the county of residence of the other driver. Given the amount of funds being sought, this may not be the best way to go because of the court fees etc. but it is an alternative choice. The $700 settlement, while not the full appraised value, is still more than what you started with and would cover the cost of the Appraisal which is certainly positive." At the end of the day, I would have been better off to have paid attention to the other negative reviews and simply represent myself as I knew $500 was unreasonable before the appraisal and I had to argue with the representative to receive the extra $200 anyways. Now, I've spent all this time going back and forth for a simple profit of $100 after the cost of the appraisal. My belief is that this company offers inflated DV estimates that insurance companies don't even respect, so I'd encourage staying away and saving your money. If you have serious damage to your car, hire a lawyer instead of these guys. read more

I got into an accident and State Farm was handling my claim. I felt like they were low balling me with a $500 offer for diminished value so I contacted Diminished Value of GA. They gave me a free estimate to make sure it was worth getting an appraisal. All I had to do was send DV of GA repair documents electronically and they gave me an appraisal letter to send to State Farm. After that, State Farm sent me a check for FOUR times the amount they initially offered me. My wife and I just recently bought a 2011 Volvo XC60 R-Design SUV. 3 days afterwards, my wife was hit by another driver pulling out of their neighborhood. Throughout all of the insurance hassles that we had to go through, I requested my diminished value check be paid asap. Our car sustained structural damage as part of this accident and our diminished value check from Liberty Mutual was only $320. I found this hard to believe so started researching all of the claims that they made to me... State Farm vs. Mabry, blah blah blah. My experience with Diminished Value of Georgia has been nothing short of incredible! They have been professional, timely, and thorough from start to finish! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you use Diminished Value of Georgia for your car's appraisal, especially if you were in an accident. When I was rear-ended on GA400 and hit hard enough that I was pushed into the car in front of me and airbags deployed...my car was pretty much a total loss. After a month of frustrating negotiation with my insurance company, where I supplied evidence that my car was worth more (i.e. web searches and receipts) and the claims adjuster would dismiss them, the proposed settlement had changed $100 but the difference was still over $1500. I initiated the arbitration process by using the "Appraisal Clause" on my auto policy, because the settlement was going nowhere. I went on the Internet, searched licensed appraisers, and read reviews. Based on information from several websites, I contacted Diminished Value to get an idea of their role in the "appraisal clause" process, and I am glad I did! An appraiser contacted me within an hour of sending the message to them and called to follow-up. He did an excellent job of walking me through the process and giving options based on my circumstances (including cost). After using their website to order an appraisal and then sending them information to complete the appraisal, they completed the appraisal on time and included all the paperwork needed to submit a demand letter to the insurance company. The appraiser even reviewed the letter with me to ensure completeness prior to sending the demand letter to the insurance adjuster. That wasn't all! The appraiser from Diminished Value followed up with the insurance adjuster when they rejected the demand letter and tried to ignore the Appraisal Clause!
