We ate at DIMITRI's Restaurant and had a great experience. My wife ordered the Caribbean tacos and they were excellent. I had a bowl of French onion soup, which was very tasty, along with the patty melt and a side of sweet potato fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Amber was our waitress and she was very attentive, polite, and genuinely nice. My wife asked for tiger sauce for the sweet potato fries--Amber hadn't heard of it before, but she graciously checked with the kitchen and had the cook mix some up for her. That extra effort really stood out. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. Every time we eat here it is delicious. They have formal dining, a pizza place and a bar all in one building. We usually choose the dining area because it is quieter but the Back Alley Bar is a fun atmosphere with great music. Not a huge fan of their pizza but it is pretty good still.

The best open face Turkey sandwich I have ever eaten!

It was a hot South Florida day when I walked into a very famous local eatery. Although specializing in Greek food it also has many Southern small town favorites. I chose the open face Turkey sandwich with a Spinach artichoke dip with homemade tortilla chips and a slice of Banana cream Pie! My tastebuds were on high alert. It was a little after lunch, so not so busy and I was greeted by a waiter almost immediately and shown to the lunch counter. I noticed the entire place was spotlessly clean (even the bathroom was immaculate and seemed freshly cleaned). My waitress Kayla was keeping pretty busy but greeted me and took my drink order a minute later, gladly giving me all her attention while she explained my choices. She brought my drink immediately and asked if I needed time to look at the menu, which I did (hoping she would disappear like happens so often at some restaurants). To my surprise as soon as I set down my menu she stopped what she was doing and gave me her full attention ( I wore sweat pants, needed a shave and certainly did not look like I had money or might be a good tipper) and treated my like a regular. She happily spent extra time with me as I asked many questions about the food. The Spinach artichoke dip was amazing and homemade, creamy and baked in a pizza oven until golden brown on top. The tortilla chips were fresh, crispy, with just the right amount of salt. I was in heaven! The open face Turkey sandwich consisted of 4 half's slices of regular store bought white bread but was surprisingly tasty. The Turkey was hand carved, the wonderful made from scratch gravy generously slathered over everything including the creamy just made tasting mashed potatoes. By far the best I had ever eaten! Last but certainly not least was the homemade Banana pie ( it was a hard choice as they had a glass case with at least 15 different homemade pies , cakes, muffins and others that I couldn't identify but looked amazing!). They looked good in the case and tasted better! Creaming Banana filling, flaky delicious crust and fresh whip cream. Easily in the top 5 of the I have ever eaten ( and I know my pies!). Completely satisfied and happy with the barely $30 tab, I proceed to put poor Kayla to test, first asking her for another cap, extra ice, a to go cup with a lid and many questions about the management, owners and wine and spirit choices. By then the restaurant has busy but she gladly gave me her full, undistracted attention. The service had been excellent, with the waitress's and waiters working together like a well oiled machine. This was my first visit but from now on I will happily drive the 14 miles from sleepy little retirement town to Sebring (home of the famous "7 Hours of Sebring" raceway and the jewel of Highlands County Florida! If I could give them 10 stars I would! Hands down one of most balanced restaurants I have ever dined in! Do yourself a favor and do not pass this wonderful establishment up if you're ever in Highlands County Florida.!

A perfectly fine Meatlovers Omelet for the carnivore in me!

-7 years of patronage! -…read more I was 1st to review these fine folks in 2018 and have since had breakfast here many times. This visit was my 1st time for lunch! Important note- This is NOT the franchise chain with a similar name! This is a different family-run, single location restaurant. Pro Tip- Breakfast & Lunch only. Just check Yelp for dinner options in the area. Arriving- They are on the Northbound side of US Route 27, hidden in the Sebring Square Plaza. They're nestled among a string of plazas and signage is not great. Use your GPS. Hint- Look for the Winn-Dixie or Advanced Auto Parts signage and you're there! As they are in a plaza, parking is almost always a snap. Ambience- Don't get excited. It's standard Florida Kitch. You don't go to an inexpensive restaurant to admire the décor. You expect neat and clean, and you will absolutely get that here. Pro Tip- Wi-Fi can be spotty due to the business location. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's restricted to management only. Not the servers, not the customers, just management! Say goodbye to one half star! Customer Service- 10 Stars! I was seated with a menu and had my drink within a minute. I placed my order within a minute of when I was ready and my food was out in less than 10 minutes. Just perfection! My wonderful server was Bobbi-Lynn. I know this because a card on the table told me so. When she delivered my check, she flipped the card over and there was a message. See my picture. So unique and appreciated! Pro Tip- As with many great places in this area, the Sunday church rush is something you do not want to experience! Here it begins around noon so beware of Sundays! Food- Standard American comfort food at its best. As they are in the city of Sebring, you might see a dish called Sebring this or Sebring that, but that's just a marketing ploy. It's still just good ole comfort food. On this visit my trusted Yelp Friend, Art J., recommended the Patty Melt & Crinkle Cut Fries so I went with that. Great job Art! My Melt was piping hot and cooked just as I requested. The caramelized onions were perfect. The fries were hot and crispy. Just a wonderful lunch for about $13 and change. Conclusion- Over 8 years, these fine folks have almost 700 reviews that average 4.5 stars from Yelp and that other site that some folks use and that's impressive. When I first reviewed them, this wasn't true, but they have matured, and I now agree! If they ever change their misguided Wi-Fi decision, I'd go 5 stars!

My wife ordered the Mix & Match half turkey bacon avocado melt along with a cup of tomato basil soup, and both were very good. I had the grown-up grilled cheese sandwich with fries. The bread had a crusted Parmesan cheese on the outside with basil, and the sandwich was filled with bacon, tomato, and several types of cheese. The fries were seasoned with what tasted like a salt-and-pepper blend, which was a nice touch. Overall, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Over the last two months, I have eaten at Village Inn in Sebring several times. During those visits, the service was excellent, the food was consistently good, and I was impressed enough to leave a very favorable review. Today, however, was a completely different story. The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet my food took an unusually long time to arrive. While waiting, I was seated near the kitchen and could clearly hear employees engaging in loud horseplay and unprofessional behavior, which did not create a very welcoming dining atmosphere. I started with a cup of the pork green chili, which I normally enjoy. It is usually served with crackers, but none were brought out. When I asked for crackers, a cracker container was brought to the table, but the crackers inside were stale and soggy. When I politely mentioned this to my server, the response was simply, "That's how we get them," before walking away. There was no apology or attempt to correct the issue. When my cheeseburger finally arrived, it was severely overcooked and very disappointing. Everyone can have an off day, and that's understandable. What concerns me most is the noticeable difference between the excellent experiences I've had previously and the poor service and food quality I received today. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because I have enjoyed dining here in the past. For now, though, I'll be taking a break before returning.
