This business is located in istudio behind Bar Louie. I made an appointment, so there was hardly any wait at all. If you have never been to istudio, it's like super tiny spaces that individual people rent out, so there is no one waiting for you at the front, and so forth. You have to serve yourself. Dimple is #26, so I just walked around until I found her cubby. I found her services to be adequate--the eyebrows got shaped, and it was done very quickly. Her energy is abrasive for the American consumer. . .what I'm saying is that she's not going to hold your hand throughout the process. You basically have to just shut up and suck it up until it's done. You also have to make a concentrated effort to understand the English. She charges $12 a session, and the job gets done. I felt good about the way my eyebrows looked at completion. The studio space itself is cramped, so if you're looking for a relaxing spa experience, this is not your place. However, if you're in a bind and need something quick, give Dimple a try. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I wasted $50 on a Groupon for 3 Brazilian waxes. The Groupon said "must call to make an appointment." No problem. I called on a Friday and said I was interested in an appointment next Saturday morning. She was very short and just said "text me. I need you to text me." Oh. Okay. No problem. So I texted her and received NO response. I let a few days go by and texted again that Tuesday. She proposed a time to which I agreed to (never responded after that or asked my name... I should've known). Saturday comes and I arrive for my 11:30 wax a few minutes early. The door to the studio was closed so I waited on the bench outside and texted her just to let her know I was here. A few minutes later, another client exits the studio and leaves the door open. I went and knocked and said hello. She shortly said "do you have an appointment?" I said yes, 11:30. She looked very confused and clearly did not have me written down. She put a piece of paper on the table and said "have a seat." *At this point I'll note that NOTHING in this studio felt sanitary.* She waxed me in 9 minutes... the fastest wax I've ever had and I've been waxing for two years. As I left and was out in the parking lot, she texted my phone saying "Come in"... she was clearly confused and thought I had just texted her. This is where it gets bad. The next 48 hours were HELL. Welts, burning, extreme swelling, blood blisters... in a place that should not experience any of those. Gross, right? You're telling me. I could not walk for two whole days. I popped in for threading (Iip and chin) was very pleased with my service. She was quick , the threading was surprisingly not as painful as it is at other places I have been! She also asked if she could clean up my eyebrows which I needed also . Let me tell you .... I have smaller thin eyebrows so I'm always at odds with trying anything outside of a clean up . The woman is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. My eyebrows looked great and she really got all of the little hair that are hard to get and I love the shape. This was the most painful Brazilian wax of my life! I later found that I bled a lot. She left wax on my thighs, genitals, and buttocks, which ruined both my pants and panties. The woman was also rude, and kept saying that I have sensitive skin. Never in my 7 years of waxing have I had such a terrible experience! I should have known something was up by how she answers the phone: "Hello?" She uses her cell phone for her business, and gives no indication when answering that she is a business. She also kept texting me to change our appointment. She claimed to have had 15 years of experience. I seriously doubt that! I wouldn't even send an enemy to this vile woman. I am now in an argument with Groupon about receiving a refund due to my injuries and property damage. I wish I could give her 0 stars. RUN, do not walk away! read more

I texted her immediately after hanging up but did not receive a text back for over five hours. She told me to come in the next day at 3:45. I arrived at the studio at 3:40 to find the door locked. I texted her letting her know that I was here for my appointment. She did not text back and I left around 3:55. I've gotten brazilian waxes before but this was the worst experience! It was difficult for me to get in contact with her or get her to call me back. Finally, after 4 days I had an appointment and she told me to come early if I could. I arrived 35 minutes early and she was nowhere to be seen, I called the number listed and nothing. Then she called me 5 minutes after my appointment time and told me I was supposed to call to confirm. I told her I thought agreeing on an appointment time was confirming and she disagreed. She said it would take another 30 minutes for her to get there because she went home. When she finally arrived she quickly set up and made it seem like being there was inconvenient for her. It took about 20 minutes and it was PAINFUL. I told her how painful it was and she laughed. She also took the time while I was "spread eagle" to tell me again how I should have called her to confirm the appointment. The wax wasn't hot enough. I almost started crying. When she was finally done there were still hairs and I had wax all over my legs which could clearly be seen and she still said we were done. It was such an awful experience I just wanted to get out of there. It took me several attempts and hours to get the waxed removed from my legs and the area that was being waxed. DO NOT get any waxing services done by Dimple in room 26. I went in for a full Brazilian wax and had to have her stop during my appointment. She INSTANTLY BRUISED my upper inner left thigh. The bruised showed up immediately. She was beyond rough and extremely rude. I have been getting Brazilian waxes for over 10 years and I have never been bruised before. She refused to acknowledge the bruise. Literally looked away. She also refused to apologize. Please take her out of your iStudio Salon. This is unacceptable and should never have occurred. Dimple Threading and Skin Care is located in the iStudio salons, in the same plaza as Bar Louie. The entrance to the salons are on the back side of the plaza, which can be a little difficult to find if you don't know where to look. Once inside, it was easy to find Dimple's specific salon, #26. I had some waxing and eyebrow threading done. Dimple is friendly and chatty, I immediately felt comfortable with her. Her down to earth attitude puts you at ease. What I was most impressed with, however, is how fast and efficient she is. I have a lot of experience with waxing and Dimple got everything done, cleanly and accurately, in less than half the time it normally takes. This was my first time having threading done and I am a convert! I love the way my eyebrows look. I will definitely be returning to Dimple for both waxing and threading. I have been to Dimple about 10 times, I have always found the service so-so, nothing to rave about but nothing to entice me to search for another place to go to. The price of $12 seems a little high to me, especially since the service isn't that great, but the location was convenient for me. However, this last time I made an appointment, showed up on time, and she was in with a group of people. Fine, everyone runs a little late...5 minutes later she has still not come out to let me know she's running a little late...10 minutes after my appointment time (after I've awkwardly made it VERY clear I am waiting for her by standing in front of the window), she comes out and says are you waiting for me. Yes, my appointment was 10 minutes ago. Ok, she tells me, I'm almost done. Five more minutes pass, at which point another person in the room gets onto her chair, so I turn around and start to leave. She runs out to tell me 'wait, I can take you now.' NO THANK YOU. I'm not wasting my time, getting in a dirty chair, and then letting you touch my brows. Time to find a new threading place read more

I cashed in my Living Social deal for an eyebrow and full face threading on Saturday. I called Dimple and left a message for an appointment and she was quick to text me back to confirm. I'm glad I read Rhea P's review beforehand to know that her space was in i-studio otherwise I probably would have been confused, but I arrived a bit early and found her space no problem. This was my first experience with threading and I was very intrigued. Dimple explained the procedure and was no-nonsense about getting started. Threading is somewhat interactive, so I had to help her a bit by pulling my eyelid and face skin taut. I wasn't suprised by the pain, I had heard mixed reviews about threading and how it feels so I was prepared. It's not painful, per se. It is more of a triggered pain in that your eyes water because a hair has been pulled out in a sensitive spot (like near your nose). The whole process took less than 20 minutes and ended with a spritz of toner, lip moisturizer, and face moisturizer with sunblock. I left a bit red, like how you would be after waxing, but it faded and I was overall very happy with the results. I will definitely be back for threading, if not for one of the facials that Dimple offers as well! read more
