I walked in to Bamboo Nails and requested a full set of dipping powder. The salon is super clean and modern. My tech was Hannah and she did an incredible job. This place is very overpriced. I paid 80 for a fill in with a design. Everywhere else in orlando charges $60 maybe $70 for that. Also my nail technician just started cutting down my nails and I didn't ask for a cut down!! I am so pissed bc my nails were already short and I didn't want them any shorter. I had to get a fill in because my nails were way overdue for it. I usually have extra long nails but I had to get them cut down because they were too damaged for Tina( the nail tech) to do. I dislike short nails but the job that Tina did was phenomenal and she really made sure that my natural nail (which was really damaged due to water getting underneath and the acrylic powder being too heavy) was restored to a great condition. We did 2 pedis and one SNS dip mani and spent $131 before the tip. For the price, the experience was probably one of the not so great ones we've gotten. This is the first time in a year I've gotten my nails done by someone else but myself and there was no cuticle care done and there was no gloss finish to the dip, just the hardening layer... the dip is so thick it makes my fingers look really off and heavy. They also left red residue on my skin. My partner also had a rough pedicure, he has irritation from where she filed his nails. There were only two employees there and no other customers but the two of us, so I didn't understand why they were in such a rush. I got gel and within two days it was peeling off my fingers and by the third day it looked so horrible I peeled it all off myself. I ended up spending $75 and $90 total with a tip!! RIDICULOUS. I should have gone to a resort spa for those prices. I didn't even get my dip, they put something on my nails and then used gel to paint over it. The nails are lopsided and sticky, they are also chipping, I should have asked what the prices were before sitting down because I feel like they scammed me. The service was ok but there was a woman who works there vaping in my face and the place was hot and smelled. Not a $90 experience. Also beware -- the owner is giving $5 off to every customer for leaving a positive google review!! read more

My pedicure experience with Yenny was good. My heels are rough so I got the package with the callus treatment & they only used a small heel scrubber not the heavy duty one so i'm not really sure what I paid for. I saw so many good reviews about Tina so I booked with her for dip. She didn't cover my thumb nail completely with the powder, the shape isn't consistent, & there's lumps in my nails because she didn't fully file them down. I asked her to reshape almost every nail & after the 3rd time asking I just let it be. After my nails were finished up she didn't check to see if they were dry so I left, felt my nails & they were sticky so I went back in & they fixed them so make sure they are 100% dry before leaving. They were able to get me right in (which was great) and were very attentive. I had never used the dip polish before but they explained it to me and the benefits. It was $10 extra but very well worth it! This place was clean and had a warm welcoming set up. They showed me all of their different packages, so I knew the cost and what was included. I'm giving Bamboo Nails a 5 star review because I've been here a few times and have never had a bad experience. I actually kick myself when I don't come here because they are really good with nails. They are also really nice and usually busy because its in a tourist/resident area ... so, be prepared if you walk in and aren't immediately seated. As for the nail work, like I said above, my nails have always looked really good and I haven't experienced a "miss" yet. With other salons, it seems to be a 50/50 hit or miss. So, Bamboo has a great track record with this gal. My last visit to Bamboo, 8/14/17, was focused on SNS powder as I have been wearing acrylic nails for 15 years and recently decided I was done with it. My nails are thinner than paper because of it and they are "sick." I went to another salon to have them set me up on an "SNS powder - let my nails grow and heal" plan but they ended up damaging my natural nail even more. They also dipped my nails in the powder 5 times, giving me a canyon nail appearance. It wasn't smooth and my hands looked ridiculous. So, off to Bamboo where they have been doing SNS powder for a while. Oh my gawsh ... my nails look NORMAL and even pretty for short, sick nails! The gentlemen who did my nails was super helpful and we now have a plan to get my natural nails back on track with the help of the SNS powder. Oh, and he dipped them only twice and they actually look and feel like my nail! So, basically, Bamboo does a great job with acrylic as I used them for this prior to SNS powder. They also do a fantastic job with SNS powder which some salons still don't have. They should call this place Bam"yaaaay!" read more
