When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to see a very chic and tidy waiting room complete with a gorgeous flower wall and neon sign. Kendall came to get me within minutes; her room was clean and welcoming. Although the specific statements she found to be defamatory were my honest opinion of my experience, I have removed the original review, and re-written it to disclude the statements she found offensive. I have also included pictures to prove that my account of what happened is factual. Any opinions are identified as such. - I bought a Groupon for 6 laser sessions at this establishment. I completed 3 with no issues. - When booking my fourth session, I was informed that the business would no longer be partnering with Groupon and that they would not be honoring services for any Groupon (including those mid-way through treatment) even though I paid hundreds in full. They said we would have to contact Groupon for refunds, who could only offer points (not dollars) - I paid hundreds for 6 services and only received three before receiving this notice. - I cursed them out. Sylvia points out that I cursed at them in the cease and desist letter, so it's important that I'm transparent about that here. That is simply how I talk to businesses *I believe* are treating me inappropriately. - After a few days of fighting, Sylvia reached out, apologized, and offered a partial refund. I accepted. She never mentioned taking down the review or any other action needed on my part. - I did not edit my review because I still *believe* this business was acting inappropriately. I stopped contacting her and her business completely after receiving the refund, assuming it was in good faith. - About a month later, Sylvia replied to my review on Facebook, posting my initial email (including all personal information) where I used the F word and one other negative review on a different business (the same review in two different comments). - I *believe* this was to attack my character. I posted screenshots showing that the vast majority of my reviews are 3+ stars (mostly 5s). - I do not know why she brought it back up. I fought with her for a bit in Facebook comments and by email. Eventually, I said I would no longer be responding further. - I updated my review to reflect Sylvia's escalation on social media. I also mentioned that she refunded me in this update. - Sylvia threatened to tell my work I leave negative reviews on small businesses as retribution for what she believes is damage to her business. - I resumed not talking to her or anyone from her business after my Facebook comment saying that I would not be responding. - Another month or so later, I received a cease and desist letter from an attorney representing Sylvia/the business. The cease and desist letter demanded I remove my reviews because they were "defamatory". - I believe removing the original review and retyping my account to disclude the statements Sylvia took offense to is following the directions of Sylvia's legal team, and have attached photos to ensure this new review cannot be misconstrued as further "defamation." - I have attached other reviews from customers to prove that this happened and others felt it was inappropriate. *Update* "someone" has reported my pictures to Yelp as irrelevant so that they are removed from this page. Please note that the identity of WHO reported them would be uncovered in a lawsuit. Got a Groupon for a Brazilian laser hair removal package because my go to doesn't offer laser hair removal in this area. I went 3 times. The website was not accurate for scheduling when I tried using it. One time I called to confirm my appointment, and they didn't have me scheduled even though this appointment was made over the phone. "Fortunately", they were able to schedule me the same day but this was also the day I was burned by the laser. I was wincing in pain but since this was a machine they hadn't used on me yet (this was my 3rd treatment), I thought this was normal? I asked the tech if this one usually hurts this much more than their other machine and was told yes. When I was done, standing ready to schedule my appointment, I realize I was still aching/throbbing in my Brazilian area! Not normal. Long story short, I realized I was burned. My skin was red and swollen for days until it turned gray and eventually darkened from trauma. They did call to see if I was okay. I considered filing a suit. They didn't offer any treatments to help lighten the area. I did not go for my last appointment. I wouldn't recommend going here if you are a darker (Beyonce) complexion. Yes, there's a risk when you use laser but the tech should have known something was wrong by assessment but the training of this tech is questionable. read more

I found this establishment through purchasing a brazilian wax on Groupon. I was a little sketched out by the look of the building, but was more at ease upon entering. The cute modern decor is not visible from the sidewalk and the exterior just didn't have the same finesse. Inside the place was very chic with a welcoming feeling. I loved that there were little treats out on the desk for the guests. The place is very small but functional! The wax was great! Extremely quick and as painless as it can be I suppose. There were a few straggler hairs left behind but overall, I was very pleased! I was so happy to be in and out at such an efficient rate. I went in with high expectations to get services done that was going to wow me but instead I left unhappy and feeling insecure because the technician ALURA C messed up my brows . I've gotten eyebrow tint before to know it is NOT suppose to look like this and not only did she not tint my eyebrows the right way, she couldn't even wax my eyebrows properly . Initially left the middle of eyebrows undone . Had to go back and have her do it. Eyebrows still looked unfinished , not clean. Basically made a block around my eyebrows making them extremely too thick and unnatural. Went back to fix it and she scrubbed them which caused unevenness . I bought a package for 6 sessions laser hair removal of Brazilian area. The first three went well with no issues during or after the girls all seemed nice. The fourth session was extremely painful, and the area developed into burns. It was painful for about two weeks due to the area the burns were located. It looked like I was burned with a cigar a dozen times in the most sensitive and painful area possible. I called and the lady who answered said the manager was unavailable and would call me back. Then she asked me what I wanted to talk about, and said she also is a laser technician so maybe she could help. I explained what I was going thru and she said "I never heard of this happening." Then proceeded to ask me numerous questions about what I did differently products/medications/Sun exposure between appointments. I very much felt like she was blaming me for this happening, and I told her nothing changed between appts. She was very dismissive. I did the Brazilian wax and it is only $20 for new clients. Brazilian waxes are normally $45 unless you take advantage of the $35 maintenance program. If you refer someone it's five dollars off your next visit. Victoria was my aesthetician and she was very pleasant and thorough. I'm looking forward to going back to her for the microblading. I'd like to start this review off with 5 stars. I've been a loyal customer for about two and a half years. During this time, I have enjoyed a polite staff, quick and efficient service, and reasonable prices. This 5 star feeling began to dwindle following my most recent appointment. I noticed that I had developed an ingrown hair and therefore booked my appointment for my Brazilian as well as an ingrown hair treatment. The $25 was spent but the ingrown hair remained. Fast forward approximately two weeks and I receive a $15 charge for a no-show fee. I had in fact scheduled an appointment for this date; however, it was cancelled, by Flawless, a month in advance of the requested appointment. I sent an email to inquire about this but received no response. I called - the woman with whom I spoke indicated that the appointment was re-booked and I had confirmed; in fact, I was out of the country on the date in question. It had been a while since I had a Brazilian wax and she made me feel comfortable. She gave me the opportunity to ask any questions about after-care. One thing I really liked was that there is a partition that I stripped down behind while she prepped the wax. This is efficient because I don't have to lay on the table waiting for her to return and there is no worry of the door opening while I'm spread-eagle. She overfilled my lips and the results were lumpy. Had to pay $350 somewhere else to get it dissolved. I found this Spa off of Groupon - I would give them 5 stars in regards to having no problems scheduling or using the certificate. Unfortunately, I have to give them at least 1 star when it comes to the Services. I came in for a glycolic acid peel. When I walked into the room (my girlfriend went before me) there was another patient's (my girlfriends) personal information and paperwork just sitting out for anyone to see (luckily it was me) which is extremely unprofessional. All is good until Meghan left the glycolic acid on my face for 2 minutes too long. My face was extremely burned and the service left lesions all over my face. (May I add that I understand that there are normal reactions but this surpasses the normality by A LOT). The restrictions of what to do and what not do after the services were not consistent with what was told to my girlfriend and what was told to me. You would think if two people got the same service that they should both be told to not go into the sun or to not use an exfoliate, etc., Meghan was not consistent with anything. She is the professional, not us, right? I called the next day and the manager asked me to come in to check it out. My girlfriend and I (both effected by this) go back to the Spa and Meghan who did our facial lies to the manager right in front of us about how long she kept the products on our skin (She told the manager 1 minute when really it was 3 minutes). Not picking it up immediately, they advise us to move forward and go buy outside products (because they don't offer their own) to help our faces with ANY kind of relief. Later on that day when I realized that Meghan lied, I called back the manager around 1:20 (they close at 2) to let her know what was going on and she offered to have us come back in for a vitamin treatment on a later date. At first she was unwilling to stay late to help us until I spelled it out that this was a serious issue. After about 15-20 minutes of going back and forth on the phone, another girl finally offered to stay late to help my girlfriend and I out who was very kind. I would never recommend going to Meghan. My skin feels like snake skin and I have been uncomfortable for days now. I was so sad after my sixth treatment to see barely any results. I am a person with very stubborn hair though. Shaving hurts, leaves me with bumps and itchiness... this is the first thing to actually work wonders! She kept me talking and I barely noticed any pain. Every time I come out clean and it's lasted me longer then two weeks. I just use benadryl the first day its done and take a nap. By the time I wake up its like a miracle has been worked. I first started going here to get Brazilian waxes which have been quick and easy visits. I also began doing facials including the glycolic peels and LED light treatment. They have a monthly maintenance program for waxes (must come back every 4-6 weeks) and for facials (every 4 weeks). This makes the monthly visits super affordable. Having gone here for over a year, I booked a package for me and my mom for New Year's Eve so that we were ready for the new year in 'style' the reservation was cancelled the morning of the appointment because they had failed to plan for a 9mth pregnant esthetician going into labor early. Our holiday is now in a tail spin trying to replace the appointment because their earliest availability wasn't until a WEEK later! and worst of all...after receiving the attitude of "too bad, deal with it" Sylvia herself relayed the message that they had no problem loosing us as clients.
