The food was great. We got the prime rib and the roasted turkey. The texture was good, meat was moist, vegetables were tasty. The temperature was great. We were in section 3 so we got our food rather quickly. The atmosphere was good and the seats were comfortable. It was much better than what I expected. I loved my brownie. The key lime pie was more of a tart and the crust was very dry. I have no complaints about the food or the staff and overall we had a great time. I just wish people on the cruise were forced to not smoke on the boat inside the dining cabin. This past weekend I got to experience this dinner and cruise. The service was pretty good. The attendant answered any questions and explained all of the rules and procedures of the boat. The food was great. There are plenty of options for you to choose from and enjoy while on the boat, there's also dessert and unlimited fountain drinks. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp which came with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll. The dessert options were Key Lime Pie or Chocolate Brownie. The food was delish and well prepared. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. There are two levels on the boat with seating on both. You can move around and of course go outside on the balcony to see the water and enjoy the views. Had a wonderful experience with the ride, food, and entertainment! We were in a group of more than 30 individuals and were looking forward to a great adventure. As a storm was looming in the distance, the ride was smooth. A meal was included and the Chef was deft and friendly. I had the turkey platter of moist turkey slices, creamy mashed potatoes, string beans, and a touch of cranberry sauce. Enough there was an option to have gravy or not, I was all in! Everything was surprisingly delicious! As we cruised, the guide pointed out the high points along the river sides. One of my friends was hoping to see dolphins, however, the bridge pillars had artful designs of dolphins and manatees. I myself chose the Prime Ribs and it was cooked to perfection. My Birthday friend chose Shrimp Scampi and she loved it. We did a lot of sightseeing while on the boat. They had a chose of going either upstairs or downstairs but if you chose downstairs PLEASE wear a jacket. We had a a chance to see dolphins while on the boat which was awesome. My mom saw an ad for Dine and Cruise in Daytona Beach, FL and asked my husband and I if we could go with her sometime, so we thought this would be the perfect birthday experience for her. From start to finish, we had a great experience. For starters, Dine and Cruise makes it very easy to locate them. As you enter the Halifax Harbor Marina, you see signs guiding you towards the parking lot for the Dine and Cruise. Once you park, signs guided you towards the entrance of the building to check in. It's recommended that you arrive an hour before your cruise and I stand by this recommendation as they let you board in the order you check in. When you check in, you choose your meal option and are provided with boarding tickets that double as your raffle tickets. While you wait for the captain to announce the commencement of the boarding process, you can wait inside or outside and help yourself to free refills of soda, water or tea. Once your party is called (each party is given a pager that lights up and beeps), you board the ship and choose where you would like to sit: upstairs or downstairs. We chose upstairs. Once everyone is boarded, the cruise starts and dinner is served shortly. For dinner, each section is called to present to the kitchen window (downstairs) where you retrieve your chosen meal after showing a member of the culinary team your meal ticket. I was famished and completely forgot to take pictures of our entrees. My husband and my mom chose the shrimp scampi meal (apparently, the most popular meal). It consisted of shrimp scampi served a top spaghetti, a side of green beans and a dinner roll. My mom thought the shrimp was on the salty side and my husband thought it was an average-tasting meal. For my entree, I chose the pineapple glazed ham with a side of green beans, garlic mashed potatoes and a dinner roll. I thought the ham and green beans were really flavorful and the mashed potatoes were just okay. For dessert, my husband and I chose the mini key lime pie and my mom chose the mini banana cream pie. We all enjoyed our desserts. Free soda, tea or water refills are available throughout the 1.5 hour cruise. Throughout the cruise, music plays on the speakers in between the captain's facts about the Halifax River, Daytona Beach and its surrounding areas. There's a cash bar upstairs, where you also go to claim your prize if you win one of the raffles. We really had a great time and we were shocked that it only cost $25.95 per person (I honestly think they could charge more)! We'll definitely come back. read more

I'm a local, but my sister was in town, and she invited us to try this experience. We went as a group of twelve. If you go as a large party, you need to go early to ensure you can sit together. This isn't going to be a fancy experience. But, the views are beautiful. If you like canned green beans, you'll love the food. This sounds negative, but in truth we had a good time. The kids had a blast. The spaghetti was good. The meatballs were better than I expected. The prime rib was good. Again. It's not fine dining, but the whole experience was better than I expected. When you arrive, you wait in line to check in and select your food. Then, you go make your soft drink to refill on the boat. Then you get a restaurant pager and wait to board the boat. (This is why you should get there early). Then you pick your seat on the boat. I recommend the top deck because of the amazing breeze and views. This little cruise was nice, very informative. The ship is old and smells bad, but it is what you make of it, if you're not happy drink more, you'll find yourself getting happier and happier. No one serious note, it was very fun on board, they were nice and the guest were fun, so I say that to say it is what you make it. They play great music, the food wasn't anything fancy but it's a meal and it is VERY inexpensive. After having a condo here for over 8 years, we finally tried the Dine and Cruise. I was very impressed with how organized they are, check-in, boarding, dinner and dessert. Honestly, we were not fans of the dinners. My husband had the Turkey dinner and I had the garlic shrimp. We each had a couple bites of it and ate the dinner roll. We did not arrive starving and were fine with that. We came for the experience, not the food, and as such, wholeheartedly recommend it. It's a beautiful evening ride while enjoying a cocktail. This was such a fun experience! They have loading, food, and unloading down! When we checked in, we were given a pager so we load in order. That was nice and kept things orderly. A group of 6 senior ladies went out for a dinner cruise on the Lady Dolphin of Daytona. Our expectations weren't too high. The boat is very old and can stand a good cleaning. The tables were sticky and the floor was dirty. The soda machine really needs to be replaced. We all overlooked that because we were out to have fun. When it was time to get your dinner, I decided that I would go home hungry. I got the Turkey Dinner. It was a large portion and much to my surprise it was very good. One friend got the Prime Rib and raved about it. Two others got the Shrimp Scampi and Garlic Shrimp and the plate had so many shrimp that they couldn't finish it. Mediocre at best. The check in process was smooth, but crowded and dated- foreshadowed to what the boating process was going to be like. Upon boarding the boat, the bottom level is dated, tightly enclosed, stuffy and not super moveable. Hoping for a more spacious ride, we went upstairs, every table was already taken- many 4-6 seat tables taken by groups of 2 who wanted to be upstairs, causing many people to be left only with downstairs seating. No bar on the first floor, both floors crowded and not super clean. Ship appears to not have any updates since 1990, but has "the landlord special" aka thick layers of paint over dirt/rust/bugs-- iykyk. We also noticed screws were sticking out from areas of upholstery after one jabbed my arm (included in picture), we moved to a different set of seats and realized there were multiple in the lower deck seating area. Food was unseasoned, similar to a microwave meal or a school lunch. A raffle was hyped up during pre boarding but never happened? No standing area on the upper deck, only seating area. Only outdoor area on lower deck is standing area and is smokers area, smoke blows into lower deck, has similar air quality to being in a small town pub in the summer ykwim. Mandatory 18% gratuity, a port fee and processing fee included in the ticket purchase makes the deal of a price close to double. People were friendly and seemed well intended but I'd never spend almost $40 a person to go on this again. Much better to grab a dinner on the ocean with a view, clean amenities and fresh food. read more

Not sure who I was tipping since dinner was completely self-service: we were called up in groups to queue up at a window where a "chef" handed out our food over a tip jar and beverages were self-serve over a fountain at the condiment table, and we cleared our own table and threw away our own trash. Other than the woman who confirmed our reservation upon arrival and receiving our food from a kitchen worker we had no interaction with any employees so who exactly did I tip 18%?
