What a great food truck! The owners make each dish fresh to order. The musubi rocks! Mahalo for the wonderful snack.

Take yourself out on your own darn date. Why not?…read more You deserve it. And when you do..... Order the Pink Starburst for 10 buckeroos. A steal. It's pretty and pink and glows. Second choice was an expressotini. The crab rangoons for 6 bucks are a steal. Who can't resist crispy fried filled puffs filled with cream cheese ? Not this girl. Then I took Anthony's suggestion and went with a coconut spaghetti. If you're wondering what that is...... It's flippin fabulous. It's mandarin egg noodles tossed with shrimp, vegetables, in a savory brown sauce. Sold. The curiosity alone was enough to order it. Now on to the ambience. 9.5 outta 10. The music is in the background and not too loud to not hear the conversations your eavesdropping on in the next booth. And any place you go and hear Fleetwood Mac is a plus. The bar has a cool vibe and you don't have to break the bank. And!!! best part yet, there are books all around the place to read if you get bored or have a boring date. And Lori is such a darn hard worker with a smile a great hair. And thankfully, they do Apple Pay.

The first week I had chicken Pad-Thai and miso soup. It was very good but I had a taste of my dining partners chicken lo-mien and wow! The next visit I had the lo-mien and it was great! Also had the egg drop soup which was delicious. Portions were large and I feel it was a great value. Also had the spicy ahi tuna roll - another home run!

Snobby people say not to eat sushi in a landlocked state but guess what? I don't let snobby people…read moretell me what I can and can't eat. I do what I want, and what I want is to eat sushi, and this place is pretty dang good. You don't have a lot of options in Oxford anyway, so just eat it already. The food is good. They've got a big menu, and unfortunately a lot of the items are just [roll with spicy mayo and eel sauce] which is good, but it doesn't give you as much variety as you'd expect, but that doesn't mean it's not good stuff. It's just more like Taco Bell where they only actually have 10 things - they just put them together differently. And they've got a lot more than 10 things, so I shouldn't compare them to Taco Bell but you know what I mean. They've got poke bowls and bento and cooked stuff too, so everybody can find something they like. I do the sushi. The quality is good. Not PREMIUM, but good enough that it's not worth complaining about. They're not slicing up a fresh tuna in front of you, but the taste and texture is good. And the servers are usually pretty cool and don't rush you and are happy to answer questions or give guidance. The atmosphere is... interesting? It's not classy, but it's not dumpy. It's in-between. Probably classy enough for college kids, and there's not much point going beyond that, because that's going to be most of their clientele. I will say that their music isn't great. Sushi places should have cool music not some country crap. Get that off of there. Do some asian elevator music if you can't find something sweet and trendy.

We ordered the Godzilla Roll, Dragon Roll, Teriyaki Chicken Roll, and Scallop Roll -- all were excellent, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. Sushi King continues to deliver every time.
