I live in Northern Virginia and sent my friend a package to her address in Dingman's Ferry. Just got it returned saying address UNKNOWN. I have sent things there before and the address indeed exists. What is wrong with these people out of this USPS site? Just deliver the package!! read more

I got to the post office today at 12:45 only to find it's closed for lunch until 2:30! The doors were locked and it was dark inside... the only way anyone would know it was closed was a sign on the front door inside the lobby. I never heard of a post office closing for almost two hours during the middle of the day? Who gets a 2 hour lunch? Their website says it's open from 8:30 to 4:45. It fails to mention it's closed from at least 12:45 until 2:30. read more

Lazy sacks. My package was not delivered and tracking info said "bad address" which is non sense because I double checked the shipping information. Called the location to see if a hold could be put on my package so it would not be returned to sender. The female clerk said, let me out you on hold while I log into my system. After 15 minutes on hold I hang up and attempt to call back and been getting nothing but busy signals for the past hour. Lazy federal job slackers. read more

Horrible, I dread going there. Behind the desk are usually very polite, but I can't even get in the parking lot anymore. Was really lame to eliminate the only other post office within 12-30 miles of the population around here which must have doubled since the pandemic. When I order items, I beg the vendors not to use the postal service, and I stay away from this one unless I am absolutely desperate. Feels like time stops whenever I am there-since there is usually only one person working there-unless the others are hiding in the back!!!! read more

Best in the area. We get our mail from another but gladly buy a PO Box here to receive out postal packages to avoid the 30 mile ( round trip) drive to Milford for pickup. First Donna and now Jackie you couldn't ask for a more professional and friendly postal worker!!! read more

I think the negative reviews must apply to a different post office. I started renting box at Dingmans Ferry post office at the beginning of the pandemic and have experienced nothing but courtesy, consideration, efficiency, and cordiality. They even know my name. In this one small post office you'll find some of the nastiest, laziest people under the sun. The guy who works behind the counter is just plain dismissive and rude unless you're a friend of his then you'll wait until he's done gossiping like some old fish-wife. It's a little un-nerving listening to his gossip in such a public place. The lady who works behind the counter is much better but still, when a friend walks in she's talking about PTAs and church groups and making weekend plans while you wait and wait for her to get back to her other customers. I don't know anyone who doesn't dread going into this post office, but of course I'm not on intimate terms with the staff so I don't get the royal treatment - I get the royal shaft. read more

My husband and I are seniors. We received a notification that a large item we ordered could not be delivered and would be returned to sender. This would have been difficult for us. I called the post office that morning and asked if we could come there and pick it up. The Manager said that the box would be held for us until we got there. The Gentleman we spoke with and the Manager were so courteous. We picked up the box and are very thankful for their kindness. This covid pandemic has been difficult for Us as well as many others, and we are very appreciative of their help. read more

I continually have issues getting my mail since moving here. Packages are returned as "undeliverable" and I have to pay shipping twice to get them or pay more for UPS or FedEx. When I have approached the staff at the post office about it, they show lack of concern and shrug it off. read more

The mail men working out of this post office refuse to drive down our road during the winter. Somehow UPS, FedEx, the oil delivery man, the garbage truck, and just about other person in the world can make it down our very short street, but the mail man can't do it because it's too slippery. read more

This post office is useless. The people are the rudest, laziest and most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. They cant even change a lock after I moved in. I was without a mailbox for 3 months because of their mistakes. I recently had something forwarded and they have no record of it and are giving me attitude for asking questions. The usps as a whole in this area sucks but this post office in particular is horrible. I got a postal money order in aug. and sent it out priority mail it was lost and I was told there was nothing that could be done.. Finally in dec.
