Shop was recommended by a friend who knew the owner (I guess he retired and friend said people say quality has gone downhill). I stopped in to check on progress and my truck was parked outside with the rear taillights removed. I asked why and was told it was "to match the paint with front fender (replacement) so they painted the entire side. I accepted this at face value, not thinking it was covering something up. I would have even opted for a complete repaint had I known ahead of time (or if they had let me know about the cover-up). Fast forward a few years, paint started spidering and cracking on the hood replacement, but metal wasn't exposed. Then a bubble appeared on the rear (repainted) fender and it grew. It split and primer appeared underneath. More cracks started appearing across the entire area of respray. I looked closer while taking pics and saw the Bondo separation (wheel well) where they just slathered Bondo, shaped it to match the body lines and called it "paint matching" ("phew, time to pop the Coronas)." I called and emailed, Eddie said he would "look into it." Now they have gone radio silent. This truck was purchased new in Oxnard, had always been hand washed, just used as a commuter. No accidents or previous dents or repairs. I'd have accepted working out a solution before, but deciding to ignore leaves me no option but to have the proper repair done and sue in small claims. Use caution if you any service performed and keep a close eye on the repair afterwards. Better yet, find a shop approved by your insurance company. I learned an expensive lesson.

I…read morestopped by one afternoon to get an estimate on re-painting one door of my car that had been previously worked on by a mobile dent removal/paint guy, and the roof because the clear coat was wearing out due to sun damage. It wasn't looking good and I plan to keep the car for another five years or so, so I figured I should look into this. Marcos took a look at the areas that needed work, then brought me into his office. He typed up some information in the computer and got me a quote within 10 or 15 minutes, no problem. The cost was about what I expected and I didn't even bother getting a second opinion. Based on the number of great reviews on Moises, I figured I had found the right place. I scheduled a time to drop the car off on a Monday morning hoping I would only have to rent a car until Friday. They literally got to work right away, sending me photos of the car being worked on by noon. It turned out that the mobile dent guy had done some pretty shoddy work underneath his paint job, and that I would need a new door skin as well if I wanted the car to really look its best. Marcos was honest and said I didn't have to go this route, and could keep it the way it was, but it wouldn't look as good. It would be ok, and better than it currently looked, but if I wanted it pristine, I should consider the new door skin. I figured I'm going this far, so we might as well do it right. The car was ready by Friday afternoon as promised, even though they had to order a new door skin which was not in the plan. When I picked the car up Friday, it looked perfect. In fact, the whole car looked fantastic. The paint was blended perfectly. I feel so much better about this car now. One added bonus to all of this is that Marcos noticed my magnet on the back of the car that says "I [heart] my dachshund," and Marcos mentioned he also has two dachshunds. I always know I can trust a dachshund lover. The only problem is that Marcos is an LAFC fan, and as I am a huge LA Galaxy fan, it was difficult to accept this!

They fixed the car after a few days and continuously updated me with the original parts that were ordered from Japan instead of locally manufactured Taiwanese or Chinese options. They also worked with my insurance company and rental agency to give us a loaner and certainly updated the whole team who was involved in the process. They called us on the phone and shared daily updates and repairs that was being done to the car. Our car was also stored and secured in the garage and protected from the elements which other repair outlets don't seem to care. The service advisor was very professional and collaborated with my insurance adjuster to complete the repair and also facilitated the payment of the necessary fees relative to my coverages.
