We appreciate her fun and positive teaching approach. She catches what can be improved quickly and gives magical tips and tricks to make my daughter's performance better. My daughter has done gymnastics competitively and Ms. Lubi was able to brush up her skills as well. Moreover, when trying new skills, she challenges my daughter to try them but in a gentle way. She always checks in with my daughter if she is willing to try on her own. If my daughter doesn't feel comfortable, then she waits and continues to encourage her. She is so sweet and approachable. I can reach out to her, no problem. She replies back to me quickly. Although her place may be a bit cozy to work on the full gymnastic spectrum, it is perfect to improve my daughter's skills. Her gym is equipped with all kinds of equipment such as jump ropes, yoga mats and yoga blocks, air mattress, beam, a small bar and so on. We had a total of 8 private sessions with Ms. Lubi. It went from "oh geez... now what?" as I was walking into the appointment, to...."oh okay...I can do this!" which allowed me not to worry and enjoy the process. The facility itself is super nice, a blend of high tech and comfortable casual, with roomy seats and sofas, multiple bays, putter & club fitting fitting areas. I believe they have a couples night with "adult beverages" What I like is that the history of the space it occupies - I grew up in Aina Haina, and commented the to gentleman who helped me that the space used to be a bakery back in the day when I was a kid, I'd buy my .25 cent bread pudding everyday on my walk to Aina Haina Elementary as a keiki. Already talking this place up to my buddies, Will be my new "go-to" as I work on rebuilding my swing. Highly recommended! Thanks Guys!

The golf simulator shop in Aina Haina's Foodland shopping center is a great place to stop in and…read morepractice, play a round, purchase clubs (new or used) or gloves, or have your clubs regripped / certain repairs. They have three simulators and seating areas. Reservations are a good idea but not always necessary. You are allowed to bring in your own food and may purchase beer and wine. Check out the purchase specials or packages as well. Upon entrance, pay your fee and they will clean your clubs. You may grab food at Foodland or a nearby venue and return while they are getting you set up. They have a practice putting green in the entry area with many putters for sale. The shop has quite a nice set up for not being a large retail shop, it is pretty small considering the space is used to golf and improve your game. (And have fun) The simulator areas are very spacious, allowing four people to enjoy time safely, by moving out of each other's way using the seating area and game area. Everyone working there is very helpful and friendly! They have TV monitors and in case something isn't working properly or technology glitches, they are available to troubleshoot & fix it right away. With all of the equipment to support you, they also sell it, like grips, at low costs and can regrip your clubs while you play or wait. You may also leave your clubs and pick them up later. Friends, date nights, students, family... a great spot to check out. Free parking. Casual - wear golf attire or jeans/shorts. It is AC inside so you may even want a light sweatshirt.

Ken is an exceptional golf instructor. My dad and I have been wanting to play golf together and the…read morestars finally aligned for us to be able to play on Saturdays. The only issue is that my golf game was greatly lacking. I had been given one off lessons over the years, but they only made my game worse. My dad then surprised me with some lessons with Ken and over four lessons he changed my game substantially. Starting off with my first lesson he asked why I was playing golf, and I explained that is was to have fun with my dad on Saturdays. He then said, so our goal is to make golf more fun and less aggravating. We worked on some fundamentals such as posture and grip. In fact fixing my grip that I had been told by so many other instructors was the best for me, but actually it hampered with my ability to hit the ball correctly. That little bit of change allowed me to actually hit the ball correctly instead of it just dribbling in front of me because my club didn't hit the ball in the middle of the face. The other important change he made is that he allowed me to make my own stance that fit my swing. Other people that had helped me had always commented on my foot placement after swinging, but Ken helped make it work and actually my game improved for it. I was amazed and instantly hooked on his teaching style! The next three lessons we worked chipping, driving, different flights (slice and hook), and improving the way I would be playing golf. The part that really amazed my father is that before I even started lessons, I could not hit my driver. Now I was hitting it consistently over 260 yards! Again a huge thanks to Ken and his coaching. Finally one of the best parts about Ken. He is humble, not pushy, and has real knowledge from golf pros. Everything that he taught me he backed up with facts to explain why it was needed or who had championed the technique. This really makes it easy to understand the teachings he is giving me and even sometimes a few jokes here an there! Now that I am playing to well my dad is now taking lessons with Ken to hopefully up his game and not let me get to far ahead and he has also seen major improvement! I also convinced my wife to take up golf, because of the great experience I was having with Ken and she is already seeing major improvement after only a few lessons. I can't wait to take another lesson and improve my golf game with Ken. He has really made the game less frustrating for me and more fun. Highly recommended!!!

My 12 year old daughter took a beginners tennis class hoping to learn a new sport. The website…read moresaid she did not need a racquet or special shoes just that it was recommended to have tennis shoes. However when we arrived the instructor was very rude and unhelpful. He said she was supposed to have a racquet already and didn't explain anything about tennis or welcome her into the group. I walked outside to let him know that she was new and all he said rudely was "I can see that" and told me to go take a seat twice. After the lesson she did not learn the basics of tennis and he was very rude to the other kids as well and nobody smiled the whole time and no one was having fun . I got refunded but the company made excuses for his behavior saying it was just not the right fit and maybe a younger class would be better and that I was complaining too much even though they never personally called me back only sent me a email with other class options . This makes me question not only the teacher but the company if there offering beginner classes to kids Not caring if they receive a fun and educational experience. If your looking for a fun a nurturing tennis lesson this is not it.
