This is a great place to play pickleball. While there are more advanced players, there are also plenty of beginners and it's a great place to learn or hone your skills. They do offer pickleball lessons, as well as rent ball machines (but those are limited). Other than pickleball there is a ping pong table and a golf simulator. Although there are pricey membership levels, you can buy a day pass for either $10 or $20. But if you play a lot, the membership would be worth it. Oh! Too many private events, clinics, lessons, league on weekends and the best courts are used. Very difficult to get a court. Holidays or rainy days way too crowded. Wait times long with only 3 open play courts. Parking weekdays expensive without validation and sometimes can't find parking. Courts are too narrow so anything out wide is very difficult. Court barriers are a trip hazard. Seen so many people fall trying to climb over them. Too hot in there for an advertised "AC" venue, esp upstairs back courts. Weekday mornings it's a ghost town. read more

New, clean indoor pickleball courts where Walmart used to be.. it sure smells a lot better now than when it was a Walmart. Mostly groups that go into play. Pickup games might be better around 5-8pm. Proves a bit high for day passes. Ceilings low for serial lobbers. Parking in the structure. read more

Dropped in for open play in the afternoon. It is $30 per person, it is a bit pricey even though it's good for a whole day (till they closed). Parking was $5 after 1pm for non members. Their ceiling is a bit low but can't complain too much as I don't think there's another indoor court nearby and good for rainy/ windy days. read more

Let me start with, I am not a pickleball player. But my BF's mom wanted to check this place out. She plays regularly at the parks. Anyhow, membership (as of June 2025) is $125/month and you get three 1-1/2 hour weekly reservations plus unlimited open play. That's pretty serious pickleball playing if you ask me. But if you aren't a member, it's $100 per hour for a court. Day passes are $15 for Kamaaina. One staff member told me that the $100 for the court includes four people. The benefit of playing here (besides the air conditioning) is that the court is reserved for you, unlike if you are at the park, you gotta wait for a court to free up. So if you are tight on time and want to play, this is great option. Otherwise, good luck waiting for a court. Again, since I am not a pickleball player, I didn't know the rules. So we mainly volleyed against each other. I am used to tennis so the ball kept hitting the ceiling. It would be useful if the ceiling was higher. I wonder what is upstairs. All the media hype of this place made it seem like there would be more. The "bar" is more of a roll-up counter. Since it was 9 am, the "bar" was closed. I was also expecting the golf simulator to be more than something you have in the backyard. Besides that, no other complaints. Maybe I will try this place again. read more

We tried out Pickles at Forte during a wind storm that came through the islands. It was nice to have an indoor playing facility. Luckily, we went on a Monday so they were running a $10 special rate. If we went any other day, they said the rate is $30/per person. At that higher rate, it is not worth it. The ceiling is really low and the barriers around the courts are also low. (Does not stop many balls from going over.) In fact, it is a tripping hazard if you are running for a ball. I guess if you are desperate to play when the outdoor conditions are bad, it is not a bad option but only on Mondays at the special rate. read more

Im not a member but decided to book the courts for friends coming in for a friend's bachelor party. It was honestly smooth from the get go and Kama, who worked there the day I called and the day i was there to pickle, was extremely friendly and helpful. New indoor pickleball courts in downtown. You get free parking for 2 hours and after it's $5 for 2-4 hours. Parking wasn't difficult to find and the structure has plenty of parking. The facility is very clean and nice. The ceiling is low and the courts are only separated by 2 feet barriers. It's all Jolla nets and the court lines are pretty clear and court colors are clear. There are 6 courts and 2 courts are open play while the rest are for reservations only. There are plenty of seats around the courts, a store, bathroom, water fountains. You need to make sure you make a reservation for courts and to also make an account to come in. You have to also sign up for the open play through an account. They make you sign up with a credit card and I believe the monthly fee is $100. Until February 20, 2025 it is free. I heard that members can reserve courts but guest could can drop in for $15 a day. read more

If you're a Guest, be aware that Guest parking is NOT validated. I was charged $15 to park. Their website has no mention of this. In fact, they imply that parking is validated. This is from their FAQ: "What about parking? Validation Policy: We provide 2-hour validations. See the front desk for assistance with validation of your parking ticket. There is a complimentary 15-minute grace period." I asked them about this and they said that validation only applies to members. I mentioned that they should make this clear and include information about Guest Parking on their website, but my feeling is that they have no intention of letting people know about the Guest parking fee. This feels intentional to me. Otherwise, the facility is decent, except for the low ceilings. The surface and lighting are good. read more
