I love dinosaurs. Like, LOVE love them. I've been obsessed with the creatures since I was four years old, and that enjoyment has never gone away. The magic all flooded back when we stopped in Niagara Falls to look around while on a road trip from Toronto to Buffalo. When I saw Dinosaur Adventure Golf, I literally started screaming to go! In order to quiet me down, my hubby immediately bought a ticket for us to play two rounds of mini golf on each of the dino courses. This place is an absolute blast and an easy must-do if you're even remotely into dinosaurs. Everything is super well kept, clean, and clearly maintained, which makes the whole experience feel legit and not at all like a cheesy throwaway attraction. It's not cheap, but this mini-golf experience is worth every penny. I mean, DINOSAURS!!! There are two full 18 hole courses, each with a different theme. There's the T-Rex Trek and the Raptor Run, and both are rad in their own way. T-Rex is a bit more relaxed, while Raptor actually brings a real challenge for more experienced golfers (I say that very loosely). I'd recommend playing both courses for the best views of all the dinosaurs. A full round takes about an hour, unless you're super fast or a good putter. While the attraction was busy the day we visited, I never felt rushed or crowded. The theming is next-level, making this one of the very best roadside attractions I have ever visited. There are life sized dinosaurs everywhere you look, corny sound effects, rocky cavern terrain, and a 50 foot tall volcano that literally shoots fire. Not "pretend" fire. Actual flames. When it erupted with smoke and fire during my golf game, I was frozen in my tracks from sheer excitement! Guys, they have a VOLCANO. THAT ERUPTS WITH REAL FIRE! REAL. FIRE! Bonus points for the ticket value bundles that are for sale. You can pair this with other Clifton Hill tourist attractions and save a little money, which makes it an even better deal in a touristy area. There are wax museums and fun houses and carnival rides that are cheesy but also pretty awesome, so be sure to check out the discounts if you're going to make a day of it. What an interesting theme! When we saw this place while just walking around the area, we had to give it a try. We did only one of the two courses. The complexity of the course was decent. It was very busy of course, so had to wait a lot at every step for the groups before us to be done. But the scenery and the unique features of the course keep you entertained while waiting. Cute dino-themed miniature golf next to the ferris wheel in Niagara Falls. Bonus add-on as part of the Clifton Hills pass, but I wouldn't think to purchase it individually as a golfer. We got quite competitive and even scored a couple of hole-in-ones. When you drop by, you can choose a more challenging course or easy for kids. There were two courses you had the option of playing--one for beginners and one that was more advanced. As you're playing, the volcano "erupts" multiple times , creating such a cool experience (not to mention all the dinosaurs surrounding the holes). Worth every penny, this place is an excellent example of mini golf done right. The courses are tricky without being silly and the efforts made with decorations are also fantastic...in a group of 4 it took us around an hour or so for the 18 holes and it was a lot of fun. There are two courses you can choose from: T-Rex or Raptor. The attendant said T-Rex was more difficult so we decided to play that course. There are 18 holes in total with a variety of terrains which keeps the game more interesting. The decor, sound, and props were nicely laid out and goes with their dinosaur theme. Let's be honest, almost everything in Niagara Falls is over priced but it's worth it especially at the Dinosaur Adventure Golf. I'm a sucker for cute cheesy dates. Every angle was instagram worthy. I think I spent more time taking pictures of everything than actually golfing! The dinosaurs were ginormous and there were small touches throughout the golf course that made it 10 times better. There are 2 courses to choose from but you could only pick one side. Every 5-10 minutes, the volcano will spit out fire and you could literally feel the hot air hit your face. It can be kind of a drag if it is particularly crowded when you visit, but each of the holes has a lot of replay value. Despite the pricing, it was extremely fun and entertaining. The only negative point of this course is the pricing but let's be honest with each other... this isn't your standard mini-puff fare. The course is gorgeous and the dinosaurs are legit cool. They're huuuuge, well made and even emit sounds. The volcano on the course goes through a cycle of legit "eruptions" and it's pretty damn awesome. THE HEAT IS REAL!!! Two excellent 18 hole courses on Clifton Hill. Very cool scenery and props. The water stream as well as the hot volcanic eruption every 10 minutes is pretty cool. One hole on the T-Rex course is inside the volcano, that hole is dark and that makes for fun unpredictable mini-golf. The volcanic eruption is propane based, you can really feel the heat, jesus christ it's like being at a Venom concert circa 1985 when that thing goes off. The course is tidy and clean and has sand traps on several of the greens which are a fun obstacle. The edges of the greens are walled off with rocks which kind of adds an unknown deflection variable compared to just a perimeter of poured concrete with a nice even flat border. Don't hit it too hard or you might bounce out of bounds. This course was near perfect. On one visit we played the one course, and the next visit we tried the other. My only dislike about the mini-putt course are the flagpoles in the holes which causes the ball to deflect. Even with a very close low-powered shot the ball often bounces off the post and doesn't go into the hole and it is kind of annoying. I wish they would remove the flagpoles, they make the course look tacky anyways. I wasn't allowed to have a coffee while I played. I guess they like to keep it tidy and don't want paper coffee cups in the shrubbery. I won't bitch about that but I only bought the coffee because I wanted to enjoy it while playing a round of mini-putt. As others have said, play at night for the best experience. They are open until 2am during the summer season. Some dicks vandalized one of the dinosaurs. People like that should have Q-Tips dipped in pure alcohol then inserted into their peeholes. There is no need to hack a god damn dinosaur and break parts off of them. Don't even call the police if you see stuff like this happening, just beat the shit out of these kinds of people. Very cool mini-putt course, nice scenery, props, fire effects, and water stream. One of the best mini-putts that I have seen in Canada as far as landscaping and theming goes. read more

We went to Niagara Falls for a weekend trip and had a lot of fun! After taking a walk around the Canadian side of the Falls and visiting the Bird Kingdom, we decided to go through the busy tourist street of Clifton Hill and try some of the games. There were a lot of options on Clifton Hill: Haunted houses, a wax museum, mazes, bowling, ferris wheel and all kinds of souvenir shops. The one we decided to play was Dinosaur Adventure golf. The mini-golf course is 18-holes and takes about an hour to play. It costs $9.99 a person and comes with the golf ball and mini-putter. You get a choice at the start to play the easier or the harder adventure course (both 18 holes). Since we were fairly inexperienced golfers, we went to the easier T-Rex side. It was a fun hour of mini-golf and the course takes you around an array of obstacles and dinosaurs, there was one hole where you go into a small mountain that simulates a volcano. To begin with, I am not a fan of parks of this type. But specially this one I found even more terrible then others. It seems like there is no limit on people that can enter the park. So we were waiting for ever for the groups in front of us and then rushed though the playground to give space for numerous groups behind us. The playground is not really challenging, so adults are not having any fun. On the other hand its really long, so kids are well annoyed by the end. Located right on Clifton Hill, it is all dinosaur themed and there is even a simulated volcano that "erupts" in the middle of the course. Coming to play mini golf here has been on my "hit list" for a while, but for some reason among all the touristy things to do, kept getting pushed to the "next time" list. Happy to say on my trip to town that we decided to fit in a game of mini golf, which was fun times. A round is $9.99 per adult, but if you go to the Tim Hortons just in front of it you'll find coupon books with $1 off. After the coupon, 2 players comes to just over $20, which is admittedly in the pricier realm of mini golf I've played. But comparing to other attractions in Niagara Falls I guess it's not a bad offer. There are 2 courses, 1 of which is more challenging (the one with Hole 1 to the left once you've entered the park). Each hole has flag pins making for easy marking when taking your first putt. The course was pretty full so we'd repeatedly have to stand around and wait between holes. There were benches at 2/3's or so of the holes so the waits weren't as terrible, but make sure you schedule enough time to play as you'll be at the mercy of slow families ahead of you. Between the volcano shooting fire into the air, the ridiculous dinosaur sounds projected from the surrounding speakers, and the actual golf course itself, this place was fun times and provided some laughs. This place is pretty cool. They have two different parts you can golf. When you buy a ticket there is a coupon on the back of it that you can use at one of the stores they have souvenirs at. The coupon I had was 10% off which was pretty cool. My only problem was with the volcano. It was cool too look at but after awhile it just made it really hot and it was already hot outside and when it was starting to cool down you couldn't tell because the volcano went off every 10 mins. So much fun. They have great art work along the way and some really tricky holes. Some of the dinosaur statues look so real. Definitely some great pictures to be taken on this course. The volcano erupts with a burst of flame which is neat. The course itself is managed well and nothing seems to be falling apart or has any issues whatsoever. There are some cool holes with sand coming in to play and rocks as well. Overall a nice pace to a mini golf place.....If it's busy then the pace of play can be very slow as no one tells people to play faster if they are taking to many shots. 5 is the max people. This place is amazing for kids! There is just so much going on, including a volcano that's spits fire! The same volcano you play through, pretty cool! There were Dinosaurs everywhere and my son just loved it. Ofcourse the two courses aren't too difficult, but still a lot of fun. We would definitely go back. read more
