The reason for the 3 stars is just the prices for everything is astonishing. I get it's all tourist so that's the reason but definitely figure out what you want to see and do before coming down as things add up. Also, it's called a Hill for a reason. Trouble walking, or young or super tired/ sore this street is a pain to walk up. Did it many times and boy are my legs sore. The lights and sounds are nice to see at night. Think of it as a little piece of Las Vegas in Niagara Falls. Gift shops, arcades, mini golf, race cars, a roller coaster, ferris wheel, restaurants, fast food, mirror mazes, just all around craziness and splendor, all for the sake of suckering in tourist money. And it worked on me for a couple of t-shirts, and a Ferris wheel ride, lol. Most of the "attractions" aren't worth it, and are nothing more than a quick money grab, but it has a nice energy to it, and was right by my hotel. Everyday I was there I walked by it, just to take it all in, the commercial appeal asside it really is something. Check it out when you're in Niagara, but maybe leave the wallet back at the hotel, so you're not even tempted. lol. read more

This strip has so much going on. Was very surprised at how much it had changed over the years(for the better). Still many chain restaurants, hotels, entertainment options like haunted houses, arcades, mini golf, ferris wheels, wax museum), and other touristy things such as gift shops. Youd definately be able to spend an entire day here. Lots of parking optons throughout the strip. Stay til dusk to watch the epic fireworks show right over the falls. Worth a visit! read more

We got the fun pass which allows us to enjoy 6 attractions. We skipped mini golf as it was too hot outside. We did the go kart which was only 14 dollars a person. The track is cool very Mario kart. The lines move fast on everything. Didn't have to wait long to ride anything. Loved it. read more

Eye Candy. This is a dreamland for the tacky tourist. Fun and weird stuff on every corner. And for the rock and rolling you they even have a Hard Rock cafe. They offer several packages for around $40 you can do six things I think the wheel is the highlight We haven't done a yet but we will. Lots of souvenir shops. Yes it's touristy and it's all chain restaurants and arcades/amusement park type activities but I really enjoyed it! My last review for 2021 and it's for this iconic place, Clifton Hill, located on the Canadian side just up from the Niagara River and directly across from the American Falls. I grew up 15 minute drive from here and it was always been my go-to place for fun for many many years. So many memories of hanging out here as a kid and young adult! There's tons of entertaining things to do here, including the Midway Arcade, restaurants, bars, mini golf, haunted houses, wax museum, speedway, the list goes on and on! Oh, and a whole slew of sweet treat shops! Adding the huge Ferris Wheel years ago was the icing on the cake for this place. I have to add, this area has always been kept super clean and you always feel 100% safe, it's how every tourist place should be! read more

This is in regards to the Clifton Hill Fun Pass. We bought ours at the nearby Costco for a slight discount. The star of the pass is the sky wheel. Don't buy unless you're going to do at least 4-5 of the 6 available rides/attractions. The wax museum is awful, FYI, but the other ones we did were decent. I've never been to Coney Island, but this is exactly what I imagined it to be. I had no idea Niagara Falls had a tourist trap district of such major proportion, just a few short blocks from the falls. This is not usually my cup of tea, but today, I was here for it. We went all out with some of the attractions, but missed the zombie experience, bowling, the Ferris wheel (we were just too tired by the time we reached it), but we had a blast on the go carts, and really enjoyed Ripley's Museum (first time visiting one for me). I was not as crazy about the wax museum, a lot of the wax stars completely missed the mark; they would have been very difficult to identify if they didn't have name tags or relatives standing nearby. Wasn't at all excited about the selfie museum, but it was basically free with purchase of the other two museums. I think this attraction is only going to appeal to a certain demographic, and I'm not in it. Plenty of parking (for a few of course, today it was $15.00). read more

You can say what you want about CLIFTON HILL.. It's at the very worst; a NICE walk.. a throwback to horror houses, arcades, bad restaurants (and a few good!). I've walked down that hill a few 1000 times; it's always something to look at/see. Everything is overpriced, often flooded with the worst tourists (too cheap or broke) for bigger destinations... At the end of the museums, burger king, skywheel, hard rock... is a wonder of the world (NFALLS), so there are worse places to walk/visit. Plus, have you been the the USA side of the falls?!??! I mean I turn a corner trying to walk to the casino and BOOM! I'm walking down the Vegas old strip on Fremont Street! Neon signs, packed streets, bright lights, big cities, Nature Boy!!!! Woooooo!!! Ahem- anyway, walked through here on my way to the casino and it was incredibly cool for all the reason above and more. Attractions, food places that were open, a big Ferris wheel, and STILL OPEN outdoor mini golf and rides etc. I would have liked to stop and try Boston Pizza (saw that name somewhere once), but instead kept it moving towards the casino. Clifton hill has been touted as the Las Vegas of Canadian, personally I've never been to Las Vegas as of yet, but cool analogy. this super bright stretch of land is jammed packed full of activates for everyone and anyone. haunted houses, mazes, gift shops, ripleys, go karts, mini putt, Ferris wheel and the best attraction of all is the view of the Niagara falls within a five minute walk of the hill. I would highly recommend the Hershey's gift shop, as well as the go karts, food wise I would recommend the IHOP for some great breakfast. lots of parking options exist as this stretch of street has parking options all over including a 700+ vehicle piece of land at the top of the high that is very accommodating to any and all vehicles possible. could definitely spend a day here for sure, or a night over, as everything is open super late. read more

DUDE, if you haven't been to Clifton Hill and only go to Niagara Falls to see the water, you are missing out on a true gem hiding in plain sight. Sadly, I was one of those people until I saw an ad for this amusement park that has changed my family's life in the best way. Our first trip here felt like we spent an entire day at CH, even though it was a few hours. 9ne of the biggest attractions (in popularity) is the multi-tier go-kart track many compare to Mario go-kart. (NOTE: There's nothing Mario-inspired -- no banana peels, no mushroom helmet, etc. -- so keep that in mind if your heart is set on seeing Mario and his crew.) Aside from being a thrill, my husband and I got to take our kiddos along for the ride as one kid (depending on height requirements) can ride in each car. Other attractions at Clifton Hill include 6D video experiences (the zombie ride is amaze and a bit scary), a huge ferris wheel with unobstructed views of the falls, arcades, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I came across this place when I was visiting Niagara Falls. It's located directly across the street from Niagara Falls so it's hard to miss. This place is a kids dream. It's like the place in the movie Pinocchio when you enter the carnival! The street is filled with ice cream shops, candy shops, pizza places and more. You will find haunted houses, fun houses, the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, Guinness World Record Museum and a ton more. The mazes and fun houses looked like a blast, I wish I had some kids to go with me. Even as an adult this place was exciting so if you have kids this place is a MUST! That's the least you can do for the kids after they're done visiting Niagara Falls. If you are an adult coming here you will find a few souvenir shops, some Chinese food, and an Indian restaurant. I didn't see a lot of their food places but did see a Wendy's, Ruby Tuesday's, The Rain Forest Cafe, Burger King, and IHOP. In case those places don't sound appetizing you can just eat candy and ice cream as I would do. There's a big Ferris wheel in case you want a nice view of Niagara Falls from up above. I've been coming to Clifton Hills since I was young. We don't live too far off and it's a great place to just go for a day trip. We mostly do the mini putting, go kart, and sometimes we'll venture a wax museum/ the arcade. But the rest of the attractions are too expensive and not all that great anymore. There's a certain charm to the hills that I think draws people in. It's literally built so when you look around, all you see is FUN! It's mega crowded on the weekends and holidays, but you wouldn't expect anything less when it's a short walk away from one of the natural wonders of the world! I appreciate how clean the streets seem to stay despite the massive crowds. And there's something there for everyone! I just don't like that everything has got a hidden tourism tax. I remember the days before the Casino.. Clifton Hill is like a really run down version of a small town fairground...but now it comes more vibrant. Locals would not have come here on their own. If they want local experience, they might be eating in one of the wineries restaurants... or stay in one of the smaller Bed & Breakfast or go to some of the farmer markets in the Niagara Region.. Family friendly fun down here on Clifton Hill. I honestly can't believe how BIG and TOURISTY this place has become! The last time I was in NF was probably 12 years ago. So much has changed, and EVERYONE and their brother is here. I have never seen so many people (large families with children included) standing on street corners! Aside from that - if you can handle the crowds, definitely go check out the Dinosaur Adventure Miniature Golf. Grab a coupon from a tourist brochure or print out online. It'll save you a buck or two. Apparently the Red course is more challenging, so that's what we did... The volcano is pretty cool. I couldn't believe how HOT it was. It's definitely an experience! The course itself was fun, and it included actual sand traps! If you can get past the rude foreigners (oh wait I forgot I'm a foreigner too - but I don't think I'm quite as rude) who let their children tromp around so they can take a picture with every dinosaur statue, then you'll probably have fun. It's best to go when the sun goes down. You get a great view of the SkyWheel and the volcano seems more impressive! read more

Clifton Hill here in the Canadian side of Niagara Falls is about 2 blocks of Las Vegas strip style entertainment district for individuals, families, and others to entertain themselves after seeing the majestic Niagara Falls during the day or night. It's literally on a hilly road called Clifton Hill that starts on Victoria Avenue and ends on Fallsview Boulevard. Clifton Hill, like most entertainment districts, has something for everyone. Well, almost everyone. This place is an acquired taste, that's for sure. The hill itself is steep when you walk up towards Victoria Avenue, but doable when you need to get up there. There is also a Ferris wheel, which is common in these kinds of amusement park atmosphere places. The ambiance was that of being Las Vegas in a way, with the lights, but only for 2 blocks. There was really nothing to do here in Clifton Hill, unless buying souvenirs or finding a bite to eat. Thankful that there are places not in Clifton Hill that are better than the offerings here. Parking here is very limited here, so best bet would be to find parking on street parking on residential areas nearby. There's always parking on Fallsview Boulevard as well, but be prepared to walk up the hill to enjoy Clifton Hill properly. Other points of interest would be that Guinness World Record museum, as mentioned before. Not glamorous, but it's something to do if you are bored. If you were planning on coming to this side of Niagara Falls and have nothing better to do with the kids, I have seen a few families wandering around the hill when I was there, so its something extra to do and see while in Niagara Falls, after you've seen her already. For me, I wanted to see what the deal was about this place. It's not much to say, other than that it's one of those places where you can easily avoid if you don't need time to kill, but worth the look if you are wondering what this place is about. "The Street of Fun at the Falls" ~ Clifton Hill is a very nice place loaded with a variety of restaurants and entertaining activities. Soooo many people flooded the sidewalks which reminded me of a mini Manhattan with much shorter city blocks. I purchased a few souvenirs that didn't cost as much as I thought they would. Parking was only $5 all day right off the Hill. I left there and snapped a few photos of Niagara Falls on the Canadian side which is a much better view than the NY side in my opinion. read more

Clifton Hills is conveniently located a 5 minute walk from the Falls and is where one goes to have fun, drink, eat. Clifton Hills looks and feels like a true carnival fair. This area is very touristic and clearly directed towards kids/teenagers/families surrounded by chain restaurants and hotels. Arcade games, mini-golf, Ferris wheel, spooky or oddity houses... lots of fun activities. Go find the upside-down house! It also gets pretty busy, so getting around can be an issue with the tiny sidewalks. Crossing the street can be a challenge since there's no stop sign, no stop light and cars actually have priority. Don't walk too far up the street though since the area quickly changes and suddenly you find yourself walking in a slum like environment with broken sidewalks/streets and trash everywhere. Walking one block is all it takes! It also gets pretty loud and after walking the area for a few days, I was getting a little annoyed at the super loud carnival displays that repeated the same 2-3 lines. There's an open lot parking in the back of the Ferris wheel for $5. This place is a tourist trap but it's there for a reason and worthy of a short visit. Just mind your wallet. read more

Ummm... So at our hotel, we were asked, "Have you checked out Clifton Hill yet?" No, we had not. We were staying in a different area and only at the Falls for a couple of days. Still, we had already done the up-close-get-drenched tour of the Falls and were curious, so we wandered on over. What the heck, Niagara Falls. What is this street/town section? I felt like I was on a movie set, or in a carnival, or completely out of my mind delusional. The bright colors. The noises. Sensory overload. Wax figures. Rando-museums that I so did not spend money on. Arcades. Chain restaurants. Perhaps if I was 15 years younger, I would've loved it. But, alas, I was not. Eep. What I did love? Dippin Dots. Nothing like 'em. They also had ample seating for the old (re: lazy) people like me, which is good because there is an incline. Clifton Hill is quite the juxtaposition with the natural beauty of the Falls, and it strangely amplifies my appreciation for them. Worlds (almost) collide. Comparisons to Mini-Vegas are spot on. It's most certainly a tourist trap, what with Ripley's Believe it Or Not, 4 D theater, wax museum, haunted house, fun house, goofy golf, maze and arcade - as well as a Ferris Wheel that isn't as close in proximity to the Falls as ads might have you believe. Love carnival food? Clifton Hill has loads of it. Want to sit down to eat at a gimmicky overpriced chain? There's Hard Rock Café and Rainforest Café, and a few other familiar establishments That isn't to say you can't enjoy yourself here for free (with the exception of parking.) My family took cheesy pictures with dinosaurs outside one of the goofy golf places en route to the Falls, and there's an impressive wax model of the Joker you can see from the street, as well as shops to browse and people to watch. As for parking, prices range from $2.50 an hour to flat fees of $5-12 depending on how much walking you're willing to do The cheap spots aren't far for spring or summer, but may give you pause on a cold and windy day. read more
