Very clean, comfortable motel. We had researched to find the best hotel in Vernal, and this wasn't scored super high, but others said it was the best place to stay. We had a family suite with a king, 2 queens, and a fold out couch for 5 of us- perfect! Clean, comfortable beds with plenty of pillows, ac worked great. The bathtub had jacuzzi jets which was a hit with us! Only thing I would suggest is some sort of shade structure out by the pool. Would stay there again! read more

I booked this based on price and location, plus their free breakfast. We arrived on a Monday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. and were able to check in. The property is located in the heart of the Vernal business district, within an easy walk of any businesses in the area. We walked to dinner each night. The layout appears to be the combination of 2 distinct original motels, now combined. This includes an Italian restaurant (reviewed separately). The rooms associated with both of the original motels surround a pool. Rooms are direct access to the parking lot (i.e., no 'central hallway'), which was fine for us. Check-in was easy. They also provide a couple of computers for guest access. This was useful on our last night for printing our boarding passes. In addition, they allow access to their dining room so that you can refill water bottles throughout the day, a service which we took full advantage of. Rooms in back of the pool are slightly trickier to park, but otherwise there was no issue. Our room was spacious in terms of where you can lay out a suitcase. There was also plenty of room on the bathroom counter for all 3 of us. This was in stark contrast to some places we've stayed in the last year (I'm looking at you, Amsterdam!). The only slight drawback to the room was the beds. I don't know that this was quite 'queen size', so 2 of us together both felt a bit cramped. It wasn't a big deal, though. Breakfast on the mornings we stayed here was from 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. The 'rush' seemed to be at 6:30 a.m., as those with river rafting reservations got there early. The process was a bit unique - you queued up and placed an order for most of your food (eggs, bacon, cereal, bread, etc.). Once you got that, you proceeded into the dining room to eat (and to toast your bread, etc.). Coffee and juice was self-serve. I didn't object to this, as I got basically the same food that I'd have had at Hampton Inn, etc. I assume they'd had some issues with food waste, and this was their solution. The food itself was pretty standard. Overall, this is a fairly basic motel that should meet most peoples' needs. I'd consider staying here again if I returned to Vernal. read more

Spent a few nights at the dinosaur Inn this last week. Their breakfast isn't bad. Probably not worth the $150.00 room cost. They do have an issue with the soap dispensers in All their rooms . Their was a group of us staying their and they all had issues with the dispensers . Other than that , rooms were ok. read more

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! We got the king size room. Very comfortable bed. The staff was so friendly and gave us some local sight seeing tips. Room comes with free breakfast served from 6:30am-9:30am Coffee and juice is provided. The room comes with microwave, mini fridge, and a big tv. Our room had a couch and a small desk and chair. There is an ironing board, hair dryer, lotion, hand soap, body wash and shampoo. Post cards available in the lobby. We loved that we stayed here! Vernal is a really interesting town and it can be a bit difficult to discern what's truly a quality establishment and what's not since the whole town is rather kitschy (in the best way possible). Don't let the large cartoon dinosaur sign out front fool you, Dinosaur Inn & Suites is in the former camp as it's an excellent motel. The motel is close to Dinosaur National Monument and it's an easy drive. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was also excellent and they had complimentary breakfast, which was fantastic. The prices here are also great and it's just a great motel all around! read more

We travel a lot and were surprised to find this gem of a motel at a very reasonable price! Clean room with some nice touches. Definitely upscaled for a motel. The room was spacious- made the king bed look small! The shower was lovely with good water pressure and temperature. The only recommendation I would add is to bring your own pillows. The pillows were too poofy for our liking. We were tempted to stay another night, but we are heading East and would have to double back. If you come through Vernal, definitely consider staying here! read more

This place is amazing! Seriously amazing - I booked here because of the reviews even though its a 'motel' style place. You can tell when you pull up that its well cared for - definitely pride in ownership by the staff here. We had a king room and walked into a large, clean and most importantly, cool room to relax inside. Plenty of towels and TP and room to move - already beats the Hilton we stayed at in Denver. I was bummed we couldn't stay more than one night. Breakfast is free and taken in a room off where you check in. They also have outdoor seating if you wish. The food is freshly cooked and very tasty. You MUST try their cinnamon rolls...I expected something out of a packet but this tasted like it came from an artisan bakery. Fabulous! I'm writing my reviews from our summer roadtrip now that its over and this hotel was one of our best stays, if not THE best one. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Spacious and clean room. Main Street noise was a bit intrusive. The door on my unit had been kicked in and repaired which I found alarming. Breakfast was the usual but served to order. My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Dinosaur National Monument (Utah side). We chose this hotel due to its affordable cost and location. It's about a 25 min drive to Dinosaur NM and located near a bunch of restaurants and gas stations. Some nice perks include free parking, free WiFi, and a complementary hot/cold breakfast served every morning. Due to covid, they have a menu where you choose what you want and someone will be there to assist you. It was more like a "grab and go" type of breakfast but we didn't mind because it was a great breakfast while on our way to Dinosaur NM. I also have to commend the staff that they are doing a great job practicing safe Covid guidelines. They were very friendly and hospitable too. They always greeted us whenever we walked through the door. We booked a room with a king bed. The room was clean and spacious. It had a flat screen TV, microwave, mini fridge, and an office desk with a chair. Although the bed was comfy, the pillows were a little too soft for my liking. The bathroom was nice and it looked like it was remodeled. What I liked about it is that the bathroom was separated with a toilet, shower, and sink (which you can close the door) and then there was an additional sink just outside the bathroom with plenty of counter space. It was very beneficial because my fiancé can be in the bathroom showering while I was able to do my make up and get ready at the same time. The only con I have to say is that the walls are pretty thin. We could hear our neighbors from both sides of our room. Overall, I give this place a solid 4 stars. With the nice staff and its affordable price compared to other hotels in Vernal, I can see us staying here the next time we visit Dinosaur NM. read more

Friendly staff checked me in early, and upgraded me to a larger room (complimentary). Great amenities (keurig coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in the room. I really liked how they had pump dispensers for hand soap, lotion, shower gel, and shampoo, but ALSO small containers of all the above plus conditioner. I'm eco-conscious so I was happy. Just finished up a two night stay while visiting Dinosaur National Monument. We stayed in a family suite that was super clean, very well laid out, and perfect for 3 adults and 2 kids. The kids loved the jetted tub. The only thing missing really was a slightly bigger table/area to eat at/work at in the room. The best part of our stay was definitely the wonderful staff. Comfortable, Spacious, Good Breakfast Dinosaur Inn is the non-chain motel trying it's best. The property is attractive, the rooms are surprisingly large and everything is clean. We stayed there one night before and one night after a 5-day rafting trip on the Green River in nearby Dinosaur National Monument. This place was perfect for our needs. We could park right in front of our room to load and unload a pile of gear. The room was very large making it easy to organize our stuff. Breakfast is a high point.
