I was there about two months ago and I wanted to see if the tires they recommended were as good as they suggested they were and I wanted to give it time before I wrote this review. They recommended that fortune perfectus tires were a good quality tire. They are some of the worst tires I've ever had. They slip on dry surface, they slip on wet surface and they spin on hills. After reading the reviews, it seems like most businesses, good and bad experiences. For me, it was great. I have a 4x8 Big Tex utility trailer that blew a bearing at night hauling my kid's stuff to his apartment. Next morning, I didn't know where to go (I'm from PA). Stopped at Morgantown Powersports to see if they knew where I could take a utility trailer for repair. They recommended Dinsmore, said that's where they go. I went down the road and talked with Rich who took my trailer in and they fixed it same day. Given my situation of needing to get the trailer (and family) back home to PA that day, I was thankful they could do the job on short notice. 4 hours later, trailer was back home, no issues on the drive back. Come here if you want to spend OVER $1000 to get your brakes and rotors changed. The old f*ck that was working wouldn't budge on the price unless I paid in cash. Went to Sheetz to use the ATM but I was only allowed to withdraw $400, so the d*ckhead only knocked like $40 off the price. Ridiculous. I went in to get my tires replaced on my van that I use to restock my vending machines. I am mostly blind and went to them to support a fellow local business. When my driver and I was going down the interstate we couldn't go over 50mph without going swerving all over the road. When I went back in to talk to them the manager said "Well I guess you can't make everyone happy" After talking with the mechanic he said that the tires were "cheap pieces of crap." And that was the clean version of what he said. For one thing if you are a mechanic you shouldn't be putting tires on cars you think are crap and sell them to people. I felt taken advantage of. i took my care here and they told me it wasn't ready for weeks. finally, i had to go home four hours away, so i paid my cousin to pick it up. they literally moved it two blocks down in a gravel parking lot, stole the tire, and acted like they had nothing to do w it. do urself a favor, avoid these assholes like the plague. read more

Ello. So I don't really know what to believe... And I don't want this mistake/Con to happen to anyone else.... A few weeks ago my jeep started randomly over heating... All my friends suggested it was the thermostat 12$ Fix. Right? Maybe?? So I took Jeepsie to the local place I've heard good things about- Dinsmore Tire and Auto located in Morgantown WV. Said "here is new thermostat/please replace. I called a few days later when I hadn't heard back and they responded with. Your engine is shot. You need a rebuild a new engine or at least 2 new head gaskets and if you can't do that we'll scrap the car for 100$.... Horrible news right!!! 100$!!! Shpff... I later went and had the jeep towed away bc I found somewhere to give me 650$ for the scrap (I'm sad at this point love Jeepsie Girl) Loww and behold*** in the mean time a friend looked at her-changed the thermo for shits and giggles and whaaadaaahyaaknow.... she's been running great for over 1000 miles so far.... Don't get scammed by these people. I am royally pissed off and mostly disappointed at the behavior. They basically tried to take my car from me for a measley hundred bucks or pay for engine rebuild/gaskets.... It's been a few weeks now since this happened and I haven't posted anything until now bc I felt bad about bashing people but I feel this is well deserved. And I'm not bashing. Just pointing out the fact that Dinsmore you either made a horrible stupid mistake or you're just that crooked... Pathetic. I'm gonna be a grandma one day....is this any way to treat your grandma??? I went here about a year ago to get a new tire put on my car and the service was nice and I was very pleased. I just bought a new radio for my car I and decided to contact Dinsmore to get it put in since my first experience was pleasant and my boyfriend had talked to then before and they had given him good price estimates on a base . I was told the mechanic was not in and they would give me a call back and took down my information. I waited 24 hours and never received a call back. I called again and was put on hold for a very long time they then told me it was going to cost $200!! They would not even set up an appointment time just that they open at 8 am. read more

When I first moved to Morgantown I had new tires and breaks put on my car and Dinsmoore did a great job on that! But when I came back About a month ago.. they put a steering pump on my car and drove off the lot knowing that it was a bad pump cause it was hard to steer and made horrible noises. So I came back and told them that I was not happy with the work and that the car is not working how it should! They said the air needed to work out of it, drive it for a week and nothing! Took it to shorty Anderson's and they said it was a bad pump and full of gunk!! They replaced it and the car drove PERFECT. Called dinsmoore for a refund and they did not want to deal with me said they had nothing they could do.. basically paid $1,000 for a new pump. Sad. read more

After 5 hours with no updates I showed up and they told me they did not have what they promised, and the workers were visibly frustrated when they had to install the tires I was forced to buy considering they were about to close without servicing my car. I had a flat tire on my BMW X5. I'm a delivery boy here in Morgantown and worked later that day. I called another place and they said they couldn't fix my tire so I called here and they said to come in whenever and they could fix it. When I went, everyone was so kind and efficient. The lady at the desk was very nice and fun to talk to and the guys who fixed my tire were finished in 5 minutes. Not only were they quick and did a great job, the price was very reasonable. Called a handful of tire shops in Morgantown to mount and balance a new set of wheels and tires for me. Dinsmore not only had one of the cheapest prices, but they also didn't scoff at me for not buying the wheels & tires through them. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Only place I called that was interested in helping me out the same day. Was in and out within 30 minutes. read more

Got my tires put on Thursday February 16th, it only took them 15 minutes to put my tire on. On Saturday, February 18, one of the tires that they had just changed fell off when I was driving. I had someone check the other tire that they put on, and the lug nuts were loose on that one, too. I put my donut tire on and went back to Dinsmore on Monday. When I got there Monday I sat and waited for someone to even acknowledge me for 10 minutes. I finally got someone to speak to me and they said all they could do is find me a new rim. They finally got me a new rim Wednesday and I went there straight after work. I got it put on (again in under 15 mins). I checked my lug nuts on Friday and the lug nuts were loose again. I know 2 more people that got their tires changed here, and it fell off shortly after. I wouldn't recommend going here. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra $100 and go somewhere that is going to do a good job. read more
