This donut shop is very tucked away and unassuming you just might miss it. I sent my husband in here on a whim. He got me a lemon glazed donut with pistachios. (John Lemon Pistachio) It was the freshest most amazing little donut. The fresh decadent lemon glaze and the crunchy pistachio really was a delight.

Good food is worth the wait! We had to wait for a little bit for our donuts to be prepared. They add on the icing fresh! It was fresh and soft. You can taste the quality and work putting in for the donuts. We'll be back to try other ones.

Hey, they're pretty good! I learned of Dip and Sip by happenstance whilst driving through Glenview. They have a kind of retro vibe going on here and the owners are definitely Beatles fans. The epitome of mom and pop, I think they hand dip donuts to order. The man who took my order was really friendly and his good mood was infectious. They have a selection of "classics", of which my favorite is the maple frosted, as well as some specialty donuts. The specialty ones don't interest me nearly as much as the classic ones, which they do beautifully. I also picked up a breakfast sandwich, which was really good, one of the best I've had in a long time. The biscuit was delish and it really hit the spot. They have some seating here but happily they also take orders online for pickup... supposedly. I've tried to order on a couple different days, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, and they were not accepting online orders either time. Plenty of parking because they're in a shopping center. Will be back for a their maple glazed!

This is now my favorite donut place in the area by a good margin. They're all fresh, made to order / in-house, and there's a wide selection you can choose from. I am not a fan of crazy amount of toppings, so I decided to keep my order simple and ordered the Classic, Apple Cider, and Pumpkin Spice donuts. You can order the Pumpkin Spice with cinnamon sugar or with a homemade glaze; I tried both and I highly recommend getting the one with the glaze. The glazed Pumpkin Spice donut and the Apple Cider donut were my favorites and were just delicious. I also bought dog treats - 3 small shaped "donuts" made from flour, peanut butter, eggs and another ingredient I forgot (but my dog loved these!) Overall it is a very impressive place - it looks very cute and vintage. I am excited to come back, and this time I will order coffee!

I wanted to like it more. Cute interior with an extensive list of donut options and coffee drinks. There's also a few breakfast sandwich choices. After you place your order, your donuts are boxed together in the back. The donuts were heavily over fried and a bit greasy. We tried the vanilla with sprinkles, s'mores, Boston Creme, and maple bacon, and while the toppings were nice, the fry factor overtook everything. I was looking forward to my iced coffee too, but it did a number on my stomach both the afternoon I had some and the morning after. Not sure if it was the brew or the caffeine, but it was rough on my system and a bit bitter in taste. Glad to have tried it. Welcome to the neighborhood!

This is a brand new small business and a former Boba space and I was very excited to try it as I love donuts. Came here on a random Saturday afternoon and luckily there was no wait and no line and everything on the menu that was on the chalkboard was available as they stated they make it fresh by the order. So there was a little bit of a wait time, which is OK You can order ahead of time for pick up which I found out because I saw other customers coming in for that purpose. The place is super cute and decorated so definitely taking photos and posting on your social media. I'm sure this was done on purpose. It is located parking in a strip mall and their neighbors in the strip mall are empty and vacated so parking is ample. After my order was called out loud the employee walked away as we were seated, and we came up to the counter to pick it up and as I was inspecting the box because it was so beautiful and it's presentation a different employee older gentleman came up and thanked us for our business. Surprising that neither the cashier nor the employee who brought the donuts to the counter ever said Thank you.

We used to enjoy their Roscoe Village location when we lived in the city, and were so sad when we moved away from them in the suburbs. Imagine our delight when they moved out here! Still the same delicious flavor, and the menu has expanded since we were in the city. We also enjoy their different mocha flavors One of our favorite treats in the area!!

The donuts were tasty, though no where near as "fancy" or large as the website makes them appear to be. The shop itself was super cute and decorated for Valentine's Day, but service was lacking a little bit. No bright "good mornings" upon walking in, or even assistance explaining flavors. There was only one small bench (no table) to sit at if you did want to stay and eat, so definitely a place to grab and go. We would not be running back anytime soon, but it's a cute shop if you happen to be walking by! Side note for parents: Entrance to the shop is raised two steps, so not easily accessible for a stroller.

The ambience, the fresh made to order donuts. I did not taste like rancid vegetable oil that you taste in some donut shops that sticks to roof of your mouth with a bitter greasy taste, not here!! this will be my go to donut place and it's 9 miles away from me but so worth the drive. Highly recommend you check this place out, so cozy with a vintage vibe felt like I was at someone's home

Will be back, the food, drinks, vibe is 10/10. I haven't had a donut experience like this ever and my family and I had such a great time. They do gluten free bulk orders too, which I think is awesome for those that may find that helpful!

I recently ordered from Dip and Sip Donuts for a large custom order for a Pride event at my workplace. They were fantastic to work with, quick to reply, quoted very competitively, and the donuts came out vibrant and delicious!! I would recommend Dip and Sip to anyone in the Glenview area, they're wonderful!

I have not had a better donut, in Chicago or otherwise. The donut exterior is reminiscent of a funnel cake, not greasy at all, and has a tender but not crumbly interior. Every flavor they have is delicious, their icing toppings manage to be a treat without hurting your teeth. The winner for me is Mexican Hot Coco for it's fun spiced factor that never stops tasting amazing. They have fast and caring service. We order here at least once a month. read more

Great donuts! I usually order online (never had issues) and have their donuts delivered to me but decided to go in store today. The lady taking my order was fine but took a while to understand what I wanted (which was a variety of their signature donuts + half a dozen of selected donuts- i had to repeat my order several times). They initially only brought out 1 dozen of donuts even though i paid for 18 donuts ??? Another lady comes out to help me but was VERY RUDE even though they got my order wrong? Ended up just taking whatever they gave me and didn't even bother to leave out the door with my correct order. read more

This donut place is literally so great I wrote 3 poems about it because small little ditty's are my jam and I just love their donuts and want people to know about them! Bonus if you live in Chicago and can go here every weekend! If you don't, this is a MUST stop and try place, especially for all the foodies out here!! This donut place doesn't know me, but I know them enough, To write 3 types of poems about how I can eat their donuts until I'm stuffed. A Cupid's 6 pack awaits for me indeed, But every couple of weekends, a dip and sip donut is what I need. Dip and Sip came highly recommended by a co-worker that lives in the area so we were excited to try it. I came by on a Sunday morning, and there were already a couple of people waiting outside for their order given the small space and COVID restrictions. They have a variety of signature doughnuts, but you can also build your own by picking a base, frosting, and toppings. There is something for everyone! We ordered 4 doughnut - the boston creme, regular glazed, lemon pistachio and maple bacon with pumpkin. My go-to regularly is Boston creme, but given that they only serve cake doughnuts (as opposed to yeast doughnuts) it wasn't my favorite. I realized afterwards that they have online ordering so I'll definitely do that next time if I'm craving cake doughnuts. read more

I have done two Dip and Sip trips now- one pre-coronavirus and one during coronavirus. Both were good experiences! The donuts are great and the concept is cool- donuts made when your order them. I got their version of a Boston Creme and a Coffee Lovers today. I love cake-style donuts, so the Dip and Sip style is a good fit for me. My only feedback would be to give the Coffee donut a bigger jolt of coffee-taste. Also- their donuts are gorgeous. During the pandemic, you have to order online and they only allow one customer in at a time for pickup. Today that was a really easy process for me. I just want to add how infuriating it is to see someone give them a one star review during a damn PANDEMIC because the online order system glitched. Food Service providers are doing the best they can to adapt... why can't you? If you were so upset, call the store and place a phone order. Don't go giving out crap reviews. Yelp really matters to small businesses. I refute that review and specifically wanted to share mine to counter it. Good job, Dip and Sip. read more

You know why there's a 5/5 star theme going with these reviews? These donuts are DAMN good. It's also cute as a pin in there, the owner is friendly, funny and charming. I had Grandma's Boston Creme and that, my friend, is what you better not miss. I also had the strawberry one and bites of my friend's donuts. All were delicious, but as she should, Grandma wins. We had found this place via the yelpisvere and got down there early enough to actually get donuts (they close when they sell out so don't lallygag, there, buddy) and ended up having a great chat with the owner. We talked donuts, we talked Yelp, we talked restaurant business, we talked relationships and life. Yes, that's how it goes with me, people tend to open up to me about all kinds of stuff and it's a good thing. I've eaten a lot of high quality donuts and this place does have the cake donut market cornered. They are thick but not dense, toppings are sweet but not sickly, Oh, grab some extra napkins, like many good things in life, the excitement of shoving this goodness into your mouth can cause some messiness. Totally worth it, wear that icing like a badge if it gets on your shirt, tell folks you're the Sheriff of Donut Town and not to forget it! read more

I ordered a custom cake for my sisters 30th birthday and it was amazing! The cake was decorated perfectly and the taste, even better! The cake was made up of fresh donuts and layered with cookies and cream filling I couldn't have asked for more! The price is pretty reasonable for the quality. Donuts here are light as air and not overly sweet. I've tried the coffee flavor and the glazed. Both delicious! I bought a dozen for a friend who absolutely loved them. It's a good thing I don't live near this place because I would gain some serious pounds. It's a little pricey but worth the splurge. Custom or ready made. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Not sure why but they changed the recipe and look and overall taste is lacking. Guess I'll go back to Firecakes or even Dinkels. Hope they can make it with the change and lack of consistency! They usually are good for two or three days but this time the donuts were rocks by 9pm. read more

The donuts at Dip and Sip are creative and delicious! I've had the groovy pebbles, Elvis and the Mexican hot chocolate so far. My favorite is the groovy pebbles (fruity pebbles). They also have doggy donuts and my pup approves! The brew coffee is quality and they have espresso drinks on the menu. It's more of a grab and go place as the shop is pretty small. I'd definitely recommend going here over dunkin or another donut chain! read more

Totally digging this place! The owner comes from a rich 20+year background in the restaurant business and as soon as you walk into the cute corner shop you feel a welcoming familiar comfort. The light roast is delicious and the donuts, made fresh and decorated on demand, are light but filling with a unexpected and surprisingly delightful light crust. Donuts are the best cake donuts I've had. Go during the week. If you are coming over the weekend. Order online a head of time. It get crazy and there is not a lot of waiting space. I only have them four stars bc their online ordering might need to be improved. We ordered ahead one day and it said it was done but then still needed to wait 30 mins. read more

We've ordered Dip and Sip for a few events since their opening and they never disappoint. Paul & Vicki supply a donut wall for our wedding and they knocked it out of the park. These donuts were very colorful and fun to look at. There are endless customization possibilities with different glazed, drizzled, and toppings. I got 9 of their signature donuts and customized 3 other ones for a full dozen. Overall the donuts were okay. They were all cake donuts and quite small in size. The icing on top could sometimes be overwhelming as they drenched some of them with icing. I'm not a huge fan of cake donuts so these weren't that great to me in general. I enjoyed the aesthetics of them and the fun variations one can do but they generally lacked in taste. My favorites were the C&C donut, which I think was just plain vanilla with pretty colors. I also liked my own creation of powdered sugar with blueberry glaze as the glaze was tasty and they gave generous amounts of powdered sugar. I think these donuts could be fun for a party but if you are looking for pure taste then firecakes or doughnut vault is probably a better option for you. read more

This place is SO good. I'm writing this review a couple months late but really craving a donut. I ordered delivery from them and it was everything I could have imagined and more. I was referred to this place by a friend as we both love donuts. And was told this place ranked a top 10. Went online to see the menu. Alas, I chose two I wanted, one was seasonal but the website didn't say that. The donuts looked great, decorative, and def edible. However, I was disappointed in the Boston Creme. The donut was served cold (learned what i didn't like that day). I bit into it expecting some sort of taste/mouth euphoria. Honestly, there are better Boston Cremes. It was so sweet, i thought I was going to sugar overload half way and started to get jittery (threw the other half away). I agree with a previous review, the cake donut seems like its actual "cake" not a cake donut. I really wanted a donut not cake. And, the cake part as I sampled without the icing was very greasy. So, i was consuming greasiness, super sweetness, and a chocolate that leaves some sort of aftertaste. I don't know how a ranking like this is possible. I love to support local but At $4 a donut, I would say go back to Stan's, Do-Rite's etc. And if you need a Boston Creme quick fix, Dunkin's tastes better and 1/2 the price. Maybe other items there are delicious, but my 1st impression not so good and felt like I went out of my way for nothing. read more

From out of town and I walked in this shop and the staff was unbelievably rude to me. I've worked in food service for over 10 years holding many different positions including roles in management so I understand that customers can be a bit much sometimes. But I walked in and was immediately scolded and when I asked if they had a sandwich the employee at the register (who did seem kind) started to say yes before the manager cut her off and told me absolutely not. Was pretty shocked. Ive heard great things about this places food so I do want to come back but hopefully the manager on duty learns to treat customers with respect! read more

Alas, it could not have been blander. I couldn't taste any "spices" or even the hint of salt. The profile was that of very watered-down tea mixed with milk, and a ton of pistachios floating on top. Like, barely crushed pistachios. Huge pieces, covering the top of the drink, bobbed around like tiny icebergs, and even they somehow had a toned-down flavor. The drink was definitely a swing and a miss. Fast forward two weeks, and I tried Matari again. This time with a simple cortado. I sat at the table right by the door, and the espresso was pretty good. Solid body, not too bitter. It was on the pricy side ($7+), but I was ok with that. But then, I'm hanging out, sipping my coffee, and I catch a burst of perfume-like scent. I'm shocked, but whatever, I figured someone in heavy perfume walked by, no big deal. A few minutes later, wham, I'm hit in the nose with another burst of perfume. Then, I see it. A slight haze around me. So, not a heavily perfumed woman after all, but an automated air-freshener. After further inspection, I see the unit plugged in on the ground right behind my chair, which sprays up and out on a timer. That's right, an air freshener right next to a table where people consume food and beverages, shooting a mist into the air that slowly rains down onto my head and table, and into my coffee. The little electronic things that blink and make a noise when your order is ready, so you can go snag it from the counter. When I think of a coffee shop, I think quiet and peaceful, or perhaps a bit louder, with bustling people and well-paired music. At Matari, it's an insane BEEP BEEP BEEP that goes off every few minutes when an order is up. I get it, you don't want to bring the food out to your customers. But does it really need to feel like an airport Chili's? It's a bummer, because Matari is beautiful inside. It's clean, it's chic, and its location is at a notable crossroads in Skokie with plenty of parking, leaving it extremely convenient. They've even got an easy-to-use website, which so many coffee shops simply do not have. There aren't a lot of coffee shops in this particular part of town, which is why I so, so very much wanted to love Matari. But subpar drinks? Air freshener spray intrusions? Frequent and obnoxious beeping? I tried. I'm sorry. I just can't.
