I went to this salon a few times. Customer service = 0. One time, four ladies were kind of screaming and laughing with very loud voices. I politly informed one of the employees that this is not public place and they need to respect other clients, but she ruefully replied that they are our regular customers and We want them to feel free! I had a 4:30 PM appointment. They hadn't started my mani pedi by 5:30pm yet had served manicure customers that were walk in's who arrived after me while I was waiting. They did a quick polish change on my 9 year old daughter and charged $45. The worst service and way over booked. I would not recommend. I left without having a manicure. read more

Came here after having an SNS dipping powder manicure in Scottsdale, approximately 3 weeks ago. I was really impressed when I first tried it, and wanted to get another one. Found this little gem in Orinda...and will be getting my SNS manicures here, from now on. The business itself was very clean, they use sterilized or new dremmel bits (yes, dremmel bits), and files. Jenny did my manicure, and I LOVE IT. She did a beautiful job, and was super sweet. $42 (minus tip) totally worth it, as it will last a full three weeks..no chipping, peeling, etc. Keep in mind, it's NOT like a normal manicure with the traditional soaking of the nails in soapy water, cuticle trim, etc. on your second and then subsequent treatments. They really only do that on the first one, I believe, in order to get everything in good shape prior to the SNS application. By the second time around, even after 3 weeks, my cuticles were in great shape. Bottom line..great place to get SNS!!! read more

I also got a pedicure and the lady doing it was very attentive to detail and shaping and cleaning my nails. They are a very clean facility. I always get nervous trying new places for sns, because it is so easy to mess up if not done right. I went with 3 other people and we all had an awesome experience. I've come 2 previous times to have waxing done and they've done a great job, albeit the room is really a supply room and when the door is opened, everyone can see in. However, today was the last time for me. I called in the morning to make an appointment and they asked me to come in 30 minutes earlier than I asked for, but I said ok. When I arrive, there is only one girl there working on another customer and she asks me to wait. About 10-15 minutes later, 2 other employees come in and ask me to wait in the back room. After another 10 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave. The girl said that she was getting ready to see me but the fact that they asked me to come in early and then were not even able to see more for 25 minutes is rude and unprofessional. read more

I have gone to Dipping Nails for months and have had great luck with Jenny doing my sns nails and love Ginny and Cindy who do mine and my friends pedicure. We go monthly, are very good customers, never complain, are very pleasant, tip well every time but have become increasingly disappointed with the way we have been treated and how the prices vary. We are happy to pay for a good job done but we are not happy with mistakes made by manicurists and then have to go back to have nails corrected only to be charged an additional fee. I went out of my way to come to Dipping nails in hope of a new place because not very many places do the dipping process. I called and scheduled a nail dipping and pedicure. The price is about the same as other places and the little shopping center is quaint. Although the pedicure was great and the atmosphere, i was a little annoyed that the technician was on the phone the whole time she was working on me! She did a good job but i could tell it was rushed like she was in a hurry. Sadly i ended up going to another place on my way home closer to home because the paint/color on my toes were already coming off (like it never dried) just rubbed off and i had no time to go back. I did notice the gal that was putting my polish on after pedi was having a hard time with it and was adding extra coats! Maybe she should have tossed it and offered me another color? This nail salon is amazing - the staff is really nice, they have a really great selection of high quality products for your nails and they did a really beautiful job with my SNS manicure and my daughter's mani/pedi. I chose to come here from Danville because I just moved from Seattle and I've been going to a salon that specializes in SNS/dipping powder manicures. I have a severe allergy to gel that I developed last year and I discovered that SNS is actually good for my nails. Ever since I started doing these manicures, my nails are stronger and healthier than they have ever been (all natural products with vitamins and minerals for your nails). Dipping Nails has the entire collection of SNS and they are really experts in applying it properly and their prices are very reasonable. I've been to two other salons in Walnut Creek for SNS and Dipping Nails has done the best job thus far. They do a great job, the manicure is long lasting at least 3 weeks wear!
