The first visit was 20 minutes prior to closing, the guy told me they will be closing soon and it takes about 40-45 minutes to fix my iphone 6s plus screen which cost $200, asked me if I wanted to leave my phone in-store and pick it up tomorrow morning. I explained the reason why I could not leave my phone overnight as a business owner, I have to have my phone on and with me 24/7. The manager seemed annoyed that I did not want to follow his instruction. I said I would be back the next day, which I did. I arrived at 6:20pm, which was 40 minutes prior to their closing time, they fixed it in less than 20 minutes, the guy made sure I stayed right there so I could pay and leave before they close as I was told multiple times. What bothers me the most is the fact that they claim they use APPLE parts (which I found out it was STRAIGHT UP LIES), and I was charged premium. I had to find out how shady and dishonest the manager are the hard way. Within 10 days, screen cracked again. I was on vacation, so I did not use my phone as much, did not drop or anything, only accidentally sat on it for a few seconds ( I weigh 84 lbs), although I had an otter box DEFENDER on, it cracked either way. That was when I noticed something was off, all the iPhones I've owned, ( from 3, 4, 4s, 6, now 6s plus) were never as fragile. The LCD screens all lasted at least more than one year, some never cracked. Their 30-day "warranty" does NOT include any physical damage. When I called and tried to get more information about their warranty, they said that was it. I can have it fixed again at the cost of $250. So I brought my phone to a phone repair shop in LA which has over 2000 5-star yelp review to run a diagnostic test ( cost me $25, tipped the nice honest guy $20) to find out their scam. They showed me the differences between a genuine apple screen, a non-apple but good quality 3D touch screen, and the COPY SCREEN that DIRECT PHONE FIX put on my new iPhone 6s Plus. THEY USE "COPY SCREEN", the lowest quality, not only thinner than normal non-apple parts, not 3D touch screen, but the LOWEST quality you can ever get. No wonder the speaker wasn't working properly, I could never unlock the phone with touch ID, couldn't get more than one bar of signal when I was in downtown LA and my carrier was AT&T. As soon as they explained to me all the issues I was having all came from that COPY SCREEN, I had it fixed right away, another $275, at least they were honest about using non-apple part but still a good quality 3D touch screen. After I got back from my vacation, I brought that COPY SCREEN to the Apple store in Oak Brook Mall, the genius showed me how the wire at the back of that COPY SCREEN was out, color of the LCD panel has faded from orange to yellow, black glue was showing everywhere on the back. I was really upset about it, so I called DIRECT PHONE FIX to ask the manager why did they lie about using Apple part when it was nowhere close to a mediocre screen ( like an Apple screen from another phone, or even a good quality non-apple part.) This is what the manager said to me: "How do you know it's not an apple screen, how do you know if they were telling the truth. How do I even know if your screen is really cracked?" I explained to him that not only the repair shop in LA told me, and an APPLE GENIUS said the same thing. He goes "Well, you came in with a cracked screen right? It is your problem that you cracked it again, otherwise you would never come to my shop right?" ARE YOU SERIOUS NOW? At that point, I was still trying to be nice and reasonable, because I just want my original Apple 3D screen back, so I can have it fixed at an Apple store for the price of $149. The manager was extremely rude and unreasonable, kept accusing me or the other phone shop and even Apple genius were all lying because he never heard of "COPY SCREEN". At the end of conversation, I said "if I can't get my original cracked Apple 3D screen back, I will have to dispute the charge." He said "GO AHEAD" very loudly over the phone and hung up on me. Since he said so, I did dispute it. HOWEVER, he REVERSED it. Now I have to submit a letter in writing and mail it to my bank so they can dispute it for good. My business account specialist told me it'd speed up the process if I were to get a proof of letter from Apple store. Another trip to Oak Brook Apple store, the Apple Genius tech told me having a copy screen on could possibly damage the phone itself. I was furious when I learned that. So I got the letter, reported this unprofessional, dishonest, lying and extremely rude shop. The total cost just to fix this simple problem is now well over $500, they not only false advertise, also lie about lying, and after got busted, just straight up rudeness. I am now considering taking them to civil court since I have my business lawyer and I just hate how he keeps lying about his lies, especially as a business owner, that is NOT how you do business. read more

I had a great experience getting my screen repaired here! During an unfortunate roller skating incident, my phone fell flat on hard concrete and cracked so bad that the upper part of my screen wouldn't respond to my touch. I was so ashamed. In all my years of owning phones, I had never damaged a phone this badly. What would my mother say once she'd find out that her 24 year old daughter was a certified clutz? I wouldn't be able to face my family or friends after that and knew I needed to get a fix ASAP. Direct Phone Fix had the most reasonable price quote for my repair out of all the other places in my area, so I set out to their store after work one day. I was most definitely "that guy" (I came in an hour before closing), but they were still able to fix it in no time at all! My phone looks awesome and is usable now! There was one slight hickup; we didn't realize that the charging port was also damaged during the infamous fall, so that night I was unable to charge my phone. But, I came in the next day and they were able to make that repair in about 10 minutes, and it was totally free! This place is awesome, and so is the man that works there (I didn't get his name. First of all the owner or phone technician "Z" provides some high quality service and its done extremely quickly, all while making you feel informed and comfortable with the service being provided on your device. Z even let me watch him fix my Iphone screen and explain every step of what he was doing. (not sure if this is regular) The first experience i had with Z was when my i phone screen broke the night before i needed to travel for work (it was unusable). I had an hour to get my phone fixed in the morning before they opened and leave in order to make my flight. Needless to say i was not confident that i would be travelling with my phone complete with my boarding pass, contacts, email etc. As soon as i came in extremely flustered and nervous Z assured me i would have my phone in perfect condition in 15-20 minutes... I wouldnt believe him until i saw it. Sure enough in about 15 minutes my phone was in complete working condition. Zee fixed both my cracked screen and installed a new battery in my I phone and my phone is just like new now! He saved me hundreds and hundreds of dollars since I didn't have to buy a new I phone! He gave me a case for free so I wouldn't crack the phone again as I never had used a case. When I got home I removed the case Zee gave me and sure enough I again dropped the phone and again I cracked it. I went back to his store a bit embarrassed but Zee was very nice to me! Zee then fixed my screen again and charged me even less the second time around because he said 'You are my repeat customer!" I explained I didn't like the bulky case so this time he gave me a beautiful sleek metallic "Hello Kitty "case with slim, slim sides that I love! I respect Zee so much. I cracked the screen on my iPhone XS and I was not due for an upgrade for another two months. I planned on just trying to get by with the cracked screen since it was a small crack that didn't really affect the phone's use but since it happened in my pocket, I didn't drop it, I figured it's only gonna get worse. My man Zee is a tech guru, his shop is hella legit. I moved here not long ago from San Francisco, so my usual framework of "guys" (and gals, #metoo) hasn't really been set up yet. Well Zee is my new "it's broken and has wires but I need it fixed like yesterday" guy. My charging port finally went out in my iphone 7, and like a dummy I thought I could fix it with willpower, dreams, and a pair of tweezers. Walked in with a cracked iPhone X screen & Back Glass less than 1 hour later, it was fixed. First, the price was the best of any store I checked from Michigan, where I live, to Chicago, where I was visiting for Labor Day AND a lifetime warranty! Can't speak more highly of this establishment. I walked in with a iPhone 6S that had a destroyed screen and the display no longer worked(was just black) so the phone was unusable even though the phone was on and in working condition. In less than 10 minutes(no exaggeration) of handing my phone over I received it back with a brand new screen and in perfect working condition. All for $65 out the door, while earlier that day Apple wanted $145 to do the same job. I do a lot of work from home and my kids also have an older MacBook they use. In short, I had two desktop PC's which needed virus removal and Mac book needed new screen. Great experience for a not so great situation. After shattering my entire iPhone XS max screen and back glass, DPF was able to fix my phone quickly (less then 60 minutes) and for a fair price. Before finding DPF I had tried to get my phone fixed at other place and they didn't have the parts I needed and they quote me $120 more than DPF. I was hesitant to bring my MacBook pro to a computer repair shop instead of Apple store but I'm so happy I did. DPF was able to take my laptop right away and have it back to me in one day. Which was so great because I was in middle of my office work. They replaced my shattered screen, ram upgrade and battery. It's was great to find a place that was fixing iPhone 6. My 1 year old cracked the screen of my phone and I was looking for a location that would fix my screen.
