Got my iPhone fixed here same day after another place was charging me double. Super fast service and a lot of repair options.

I had my battery replaced on my iPhone 13 Mini, one of the few shops that had batteries for this low selling iPhone. I appreciated the messages after I scheduled the repair, which was just a few days from when I scheduled. Thanks to this, I disconnected Apple Pay and Find My so the iPhone was ready for the battery replacement. When I arrived at my scheduled time, the man at the front desk took my phone and the case and brought it to a technician. The shop has a big and comfortably padded couch where people can wait. I listened to my favorite podcast on lifting culture and bodybuilding using a portable MP3 player. I was surprised that in just exactly half an hour later my phone was ready and the battery had been replaced without incident. I did not realize that replacement batteries are at zero when shops receive them. My iPhone was at 16 percent. The shop was gracious enough to charge the phone for 10 minutes to boost my level to 27 percent so I had plenty of charge for the trip home. I have a pocket cell phone charger. I wish I brought it. An advisory for customers to bring their portable cell phone chargers would have been helpful. Yet, I easily made it home on the charge I had with the brand new battery. Maybe an unfair rating since I've only used their services once, but it was great. They were quick, inexpensive, and I didn't even have to schedule an appointment (I did call ahead to make sure they could help me right away). Expensive quote for a basic glass replacement, but probably because they include "LCD repair," which is not damaged. They state their price is hugger because it includes a lot of extras, of which I don't want or need. $30 is what I paid in DC for excellent, efficient service on glass replacement... not sure why Chicago prices are so exorbitant. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Rescue Cell Repair. The prices are reasonable and the service is top-notch. My technician was adept at explaining the process of repairing my shattered iPhone 8 Plus screen and I was done in less time than expected. Because this is a third-party vendor, not an Apple authorized vendor, sometimes the screens have compatibility issues with Apple's software updates. Vendors can only do so much to stay ahead of Apple's gatekeeping and, as was the case for me, sometimes replacement screens experience bugs. However, I contacted the shop and they came in, IN THE MIDST OF CHIBERIA, and fixed it for me. I'd happily recommend their service to anyone. read more

I had my phone screen repaired there several months ago. They use aftermarket parts so the screen wasn't quite as good as OEM (hard to read in sunlight) but all of sudden it failed. Phone worked but screen completely dark. I called them up. Dropped it off. Had a working phone again in about an hour. No charge (lifetime warranty). That is service. read more

Cell Phone Repair Chicago is a not a fair company. Nice guys and reasonable prices but then my iPhone stopped responding to multiple touch and acts up. I had my cracked iPhone screen repaired here after reading the great reviews but 9 weeks later I had problems with the touch on screen while I was out of town, it became unusable. I took it to to the Apple Store in Union Square (SF) and they had to again replace the screen...and they gave me back the old one to prove to me, what I was sold originally was a COUNTERFEIT, a FAKE. It worked great for short-term, but I can not recommend for your iPhone fixes. On top of this, the sales person was very pushy and got me to buy a screen protector and case, which is again useless with out a working phone. I will give them credit for being magnificent sales people. read more

I got my screen fixed about 4-5 months ago due to a cracked screen. Everything went fine-customer service was great, phone looked great and worked flawlessly until a couple weeks ago where the screen started glitching when I increase my brightness. Not worth the $120 I spent. Best to take your phone to a Verizon or Apple and get it repaired there. read more

Javier is a GAME CHANGER! LIFE SAVER! MEMORY RESTORER! In the most literal sense! My phone dropped just the right way and my screen cracked and then went black! I had googled for hmm 18 hours to find a solution to just get my pictures and messages off to no avail. I'd gotten that 3rd notice from ATT reminding me to send back my phone. I'd almost given up hope. I called up and said I don't need a new phone, I need the data off my old phone. I went through the litany of concerns I had and he was like we can absolutely take care of it. We'll take your phone apart, put a temporary screen on it, unlock your phone and transfer your data! Friendly, Helpful, Good People. I was in the market for cell phone accessories (Beats Headphones) since my last pair went through my washing machine after an intense workout. I absent mindedly left them in my pocket and to my dismay (and my bank accounts), they were damaged beyond repair. I tried whole heartedly to revive them by every measure possible. Let them dry, charged them up, prayed, nothing worked. Thus I had to burry them back in the box in which they came and was reluctant to find another expensive replacement :( . I searched the depths of the site in which they call the Amazon where there are wildly insane deals and 2 day transportation on devices and goods and decided to make a new purchase on a somewhat similar but D level brand knockoff of the powerbeats. I was ashamed at myself for making such a purchase and I can only imagine the judgemental looks of disgust from fellow gym goers who when close enough, could tell that my headphones were not OEM Beats! Needless to say, I stopped working out due to the shame and guilt of the purchase and banished the headphones that I purchased from the Amazon to nether-realm. Now that I got that off my chest, fast forward to today. I was scrolling facebook and stumbled across the ad for these Beats at a price that I couldn't beat. I instantly sent a message to the creator and was very pleased to hear that he worked for a cell phone store. I live in west loop and this was close so I went in and they said to replace the screen it would be 200$, immediately I thought it was a little pricey. I really didn't have any other option so I went ahead with it and they fixed within 30-45 minutes. I took the phone home and realized that the calibration was off half the time and was upset considering the money I spent, but I called them and they explained they'll replacement and were very sorry and easily replaced it. read more

Javier (Hope I spelled his name right!) at Rescue cell phone really did rescue me this week. I have an iphone 6 and have had spotty wifi and malfunctioning GPS and bluetooth since I updated to iOS 9.3 in late July. I went to the apple store, they suggested a hard reset and then offered there was nothing I could do short of buying a new phone (surprise) after it didn't improve my GPS or bluetooth signal. Then I tried another cellphone repair shop. They took my phone for a couple hours, decided it was a software issue, and there was nothing they could really do for me. No harm, no foul. I walk by rescue every day on my way to my new work, and decided to pop in and give them a shot. Right away, Javier said he had seen this issue before in the iphone 6, and suggested the iOS updates just put a little more stress through a particular part than this model's part could handle. He offered to update the part at a reasonable price, so I gave them my phone to give it a try. Within an hour and a half he had the part replaced, and shortly after I was getting GPS turn by turn navigation back for the first time in months! This guy took the time to listen to my problem, give me a solution, and even honored the quote he gave me when the part ended up being a little more expensive than he originally thought. They saved me needing to buy a new phone, and fixed what two other places couldn't. Very happy with my transaction. read more

I generally don't write yelp reviews but since I feel this is a good store with a lot of variability in competitor process and quality, hopefully my review helps give someone else information in need of cell phone repairs. My issue: broken charging port on a Samsung Galaxy s6. Randomly stopped charging. Pros: Price was the best by 10 dollars anywhere i could find and was consistent with the online quote I requested via yelp. They have a $15 off $25 code you can buy for $10 too. A few other repair stores don't replace charging ports or only work with iPhones. Several other stores quoted outrageous prices close to 3-4x what it cost here. Including taxes it was 75ish at rescue minus the coupon. Javier seems to be the main guy there and he is very professional and courteous. So far the repair seems to be working great. The fast charge still is functional too which was a big concern of mine. There is also a 90day guarantee. Cons: This is nitpicking but they quoted a 2 hour repair and I think called back after 3 or 4. Honestly wasn't an issue for me but maybe other people are more sensitive to those things. The location also has no free parking close by but there is a 30 min standing zone you just down the block. Conclusion: I'd recommend the place due to its price and service. So far everything has worked great with my phone and I'm happy with my experience here. Even though they don't have many yelp reviews they do have more via Google so if you're on the fence about where to get your phone fixed I'd stop in here to check it out. read more

While on vacation, I had jumped in the pool only to realized 20 min later my phone was in my pocket. I took it out of my pocket and immediately placed it in a bag of rice for longer than a week, however it wouldn't turn back on. This is the part where the wizards at Rescue Cell Phone enter.
